Wait... Arrival was a stealth mission? I got that Admiral Hacket wanted to avoid a war with the batarians with the reapers closing in but there was no punishment for killing the batarian guards. The only thing that makes that mission hard is the lack of squadmates and Kenson being the WORST partner possible, indoctrinated or not.
@Urubu_de_terno during the part to find Kenson, as long as you don't fire your gun (first Varren the exception), use your powers (yes, even Tactical Cloak), and take the alternate routes, you can get all the way to Kenson without a fight. After that though, it goes back to normal gameplay
That out-of-ammo situation in Kasumi's loyalty mission is exactly why no amount of lore will ever make thermal clips make sense. Why would ANYONE willingly give up INFINITE AMMO just for faster reload? Ain't no way the people of the galaxy would agree to this.
I always thought that if you run out of ammo the gun should be able to revert back to a cool down system instead of just not working. It already has a ton of smart systems, that little chnage would make thermal clips make so much more sense
It's even funnier in ME3 when we have two great ARs with infinite ammo in the form of the M7 and the Particle beam, the first one from the first contact war and the second from 50 thousand years ago.

All of Mass Effect 2 is noncanonical with Mass Effect 1. The story doesn't even make sense given the events of Mass Effect 1. It is like the two games were written by two different writers and the second writer's only knowledge of Mass Effect 1 is the promotional material. Which is pretty close to the truth.

The opening section of the garage was fucking hell on earth with that many armored Varren and Vorcha everywhere and constantly respawning tho. I took Mordin with me and left Zaeed with Garrus to give me more time, and I barely made it.

Just watching this in the background once again and I just realized something The Kassa Locust that Shepard picks up is said to be “The Kassa Locust” like the actual gun that was used to kill 3 presidents but what doesn’t make any sense is that the Kassa Locust uses Thermal clips like every other gun Thermal Clips weren’t invented until 2184 the Assasination of Enrique Aguilar and Ying Xiong happened in 2176 so realizing this I had to channel my inner Obama and found this part in the wiki “A quick trip to the extranet reveals one of the weapons has the same serial number as Lang's original. If it's a fake, it's extremely well-made.”

Okay, something to note here... it was *NOT* Captain Anderson who insisted on Joker being the Normandy pilot. It was a Turian named Invectus. He was sent as an overseer of the Normandy construction, and to see which pilots would be suitable to fly it. When Joker asked if he could ever pilot it, Invectur outright dismissed him, saying a cripple would never be allowed in it. After Joker stole the Normandy, pulled his stunts and evaded all sorts of fire and ships, he surrendered to the authorities, and it was Invectus who personally defended Jeff, and outright demanding he would be the chosen Pilot, for circumvending security, performing excellent while under fire and adapting to the situation, AND finishing the required trials... with time to spare. Captain Anderson agrees with Invectus. But it was only because of the Turian's outright demanding that Joker be selected pilot, that this came to pass. Say what you want about him, but real recognises real in that story.

After Joker stole the Normandy, pulled his stunts and evaded all sorts of fire and ships, he surrendered to the authorities, and it was Invectus who personally defended Jeff, and outright demanding he would be the chosen Pilot, for circumvending security, performing excellent while under fire and adapting to the situation, AND finishing the required trials... with time to spare.
Captain Anderson agrees with Invectus. But it was only because of the Turian's outright demanding that Joker be selected pilot, that this came to pass.
Say what you want about him, but real recognises real in that story.
