Thank you Dr. Berg!! I used to get breakouts only once in a while up until my early 20s. Then that's when the struggle started. It wasn't ever severe BUT I started to get mild to slightly cystic acne. I chalked it up to stress and other things. Now 6 or 7 years later I find out I have a 4 cm ovarian cyst. I found out because of symptoms I was having and got it checked out. A coworker of mine sent me this video. I started taking your sea kelp supplement. It's been about 2 months now and my symptoms have drastically improved AND my acne is basically gone. I guess I had a hormonal imbalance all along. I wish I knew sooner.

Dr Berg, can you do a video on endometriosis. I'd like to be able to send the video to my daughter. I am hoping that there is something that could help her with the pain or even make it go away. Thanks :)
I recommend she join the Facebook group 'Nancy's Nook'. It's the best source of up to date info on endo, and a very supportive community of fellow endo ladies. Cut to the chase - best treatment is excision surgery with an approved, experience surgeon. They have a list of surgeons recommended by women and vetted by the group invigilators. I found my surgeon via the list. Exercise helps, if she has the energy and it can be tolerated. I take kelp too! I also cut out alcohol, caffeine, sugar and limit dairy/wheat. It all contributes. But I realise some women can do everything 'right' with diet and it doesn't make a difference. Every woman is different. Good luck!
endometriosis can be managed with n-acetylcysteine 3x600mg per day for 3 days, stop taking for 4 days, then begin taking it again and repeat the cycle. a more expensive option is daily systemic enzymes which come at different price points, and under different brands, ie. Fertilica Choice Enzymes / Fibrenza / Endovan. Probably your daughter would do well to check out hormone disruptors in her diet as well. Dr.Sara Gottfried is a gynecologist with quite a few youtube videos and a book called "the hormone reset diet", written in 2015 and available at most libraries, and it's a relatively easy 21 day elimination diet that helps get out of whack hormones balanced. iodine, keto, and intermittent fasting are not the answer to every problem faced by mankind, as seems to be the case where dr.berg is concerned. :/ Oh, R Baker has a point, as wheat is concerned, there are studies to show that cutting out gluten improves endometriosis. Surgery is fine if she's up to it I guess, but might as well learn about other options before a potentially unsuccessful surgery.

Dr. Berg, Thank you for this video. Will taking iodine get rid of the cysts that already exist as well as restoring the health of ovaries? Kindest regards.
The biggest increase that has been seen in thyroid goiters and low iodine has been since so many people started using pink salt and so many doctors have put people on low salt diets! Iodine is so important for the functionality of almost everything in your body. Definitely use salt with added iodine, you can get sea salt with added iodine if that’s what you use or regular salt. Also, have your iodine level checked when you get blood work.
Yes, I had a cyst the size of a grapefruit. It burst and fluid came out the hole near cyst. This fluid was like motor oil, not puss. It hurt, but using chlorella really helped the pain. Then the cyst was about the size of an orange and now it has shrunk due to taking iodine. But don't take a lot of iodine or get stomach issues.
I had a really big cyst (25cm) but I literally felt no pain from it! It wasn't until it burst that I was rushed to the ER after vomiting from the pain. I had to get an emergency surgery to remove it along with my right ovary and tubes. I'm currently on birth control per my doctor, but I prefer the more "natural" route so will definitely be eating more sea kelp after this!
Dr. Berg, how about doing OMAD, one meal a day and low carb meals for ovarian cysts? I believe that high percentage body fat is what cause ovarian cysts for so many women.
I have had ovarian chocolate cyst 15 years and spent $20k tried and researched almost everything... Indeed NO high sugar fruits and food, soy, flaxseed, avoid conventional meat and diary etc... I still didn't go do surgery because several of my doctor friends told me that after surgery it's quite easy to grow back if not cure the root problem of the body, which is estrogen dominance and stomach spleen function not strong... besides the surgery would accelerate ovarian aging when we get old as it took away partial ovarian tissues, but if it's big size, then maybe surgery is a good way, mine was 6.7cm left and 3.4cm right, now finally shrinked half and doctor said right side 1.4cm one probably would disaapear in couple months... I am waiting to see the result.

Interesting. Many years ago I developed cherry angiomas and within 18 months ovarian cysts (no back pain though, but enough abdo pain to put me in ER before dx). I believe there is also a link with bromine exposure and lack of iodine to cherry angiomas. Some years later I was dx with hypothyroidism. On Levothyroxine and have been told to avoid iodine by my doc and pharmacist.
Good day doctor one year ago I had fibroid surgery now I have ovarian cyst left side I have pain so much when ovulation time I don’t have any kids tried 5years can u advise what I have to do thanks
probably not. you'll want to go on an unprocessed diet, do some research on hormone disruptors, and look at other options that are proven to reduce cysts. n-acetylcysteine is very promising, 3x600mg for 3 days, break for 4 days, then repeat the cycle (3 days on/ 4days off)for several months is shown to reduce cysts. if you do ok on n-acetylcysteine, add some digestive enzymes and vitamins to the mix and you'll probably get good results. systemic enzymes have a pretty good track record of reducing cysts, but are more expensive than NAC. cysts probably are the result of poor diet and aging hormones, possibly too much stress, high cortisol could put the endocrine system out of whack. it's good to address everything, not just look for a pill to cure you.
If you go to your general doctor ask for an iodine test, eastogen and all the hormonal blood tests because you don’t want your oestrogen to get too high cause that’s what causes cancer. Or go to a homeopathic/natural doctor to keep on top of it :)
Good morning, Dr. Berg. I am currently 22 weeks pregnant. The issue is that I have several fibroids and one cyst that is starting to cause such severe pain. I'd read of some remedies prior to becoming pregnant that I'd done, such as castor oil packs with s heating pad and juicing. I of course stopped immediately upon finding out I was pregnant. Is there ANYTHING I can safely do while pregnant to attack and degenerate these things? Thank you so much for your time.

does it feel hard when you touch ur ovary?? i sudde ly develope very hard ovary after a long minthly period, i havnt seen a dr yet😢
Update?
Did the birth control help?

How were you able to shrink half what did you take.?
Please, what did you use? Can you share please
@joypu5173 kindly share how you were able to shrink and how long it took you

If hyperthyroid. What could they take for an ovarian cyst? 🤷🏻♀️ Any suggestions?
How long until the sea kelp starts to ease the pain? I'm only 1 week in and still in so much pain. Praying this helps eventually!
What was it again? When should you avoid iodine??
Yes I couldn't understand that either...
If you have HYPERthyroidism.

Dr. Eric Berg DC So what can I take? I have cysts on my ovaries, back pain, and am hypothyroid.
Excuse me Dr. Berg but I just want you to know how much I love you, from my heart.
I'm due for a pap smear, I'm going to ask my gyne about this but I've had these pains by my right side ovary but only when I'm about to get my period. 😥It's very painful😭 I've always wondered if it could be a cyst. 😬😖 Found this video helpful.

Is pcos & ovarian cyst same?
Hi doctor, are these for Endometriosis cyst as well?
About potasium dr?
Interesting. Many years ago I developed cherry angiomas and within 18 months ovarian cysts (no back pain though, but enough abdo pain to put me in ER before dx). I believe there is also a link with bromine exposure and lack of iodine to cherry angiomas. Some years later I was dx with hypothyroidism. On Levothyroxine and have been told to avoid iodine by my doc and pharmacist.
They tell you to avoid iodine because then you won't need levothyroxine. Get where I'm going with it?
So do you suggest eating sea kelp or supplement?
Thank you Dr. Berg, you are always so helpful.
My pleasure.

Good day doctor one year ago I had fibroid surgery now I have ovarian cyst left side I have pain so much when ovulation time I don’t have any kids tried 5years can u advise what I have to do thanks
Very helpful doctor. Thank you. If the cysts are small can the iodine get rid of them?
probably not. you'll want to go on an unprocessed diet, do some research on hormone disruptors, and look at other options that are proven to reduce cysts. n-acetylcysteine is very promising, 3x600mg for 3 days, break for 4 days, then repeat the cycle (3 days on/ 4days off)for several months is shown to reduce cysts. if you do ok on n-acetylcysteine, add some digestive enzymes and vitamins to the mix and you'll probably get good results. systemic enzymes have a pretty good track record of reducing cysts, but are more expensive than NAC. cysts probably are the result of poor diet and aging hormones, possibly too much stress, high cortisol could put the endocrine system out of whack. it's good to address everything, not just look for a pill to cure you.
That was so helpful.
Is there a video for pelvic congestion syndrome?
I refuse to go to a gynecologist so I guess I’ll just heal it myself.
If you go to your general doctor ask for an iodine test, eastogen and all the hormonal blood tests because you don’t want your oestrogen to get too high cause that’s what causes cancer. Or go to a homeopathic/natural doctor to keep on top of it :)
You should go my aunt didn’t and end up having cancer and her life could be spared she went it was too late when she went
It's important to go for the blood work and ultrasounds. Then do your work from there.
Why do you refuse just curios I apologize if I offend by my question
Im with you. We can heal ourselves ❤

I had small cysts on my ovary before I became pregnant, and my doctor suspected PCOS. They went away during pregnancy, so yours might too.
Need more info on this? Is there any one else out there with this experience? Please share your story

Hey doctor berg! I’ve been binge watching some of your videos, and I appreciate you providing helpful content for us. Today I went to get a pelvis, trans abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound (first time) My results came quick. I have some bilateral sub centimeters ovarian follicles and I was kinda freaked out about it hahaha so I begin to do so much research about it, and it’s only cyst, but I could potentially have PCOS. I was leaning on that thought for awhile without being diagnosed at that time because a few weeks back I did some blood work, and everything was normal except my testosterone level. It was a bit high (46g) before I was experiencing a lot of acne, neck hairs, a lot of missed periods. I am definitely going to start eating more healthier, doing intermittent fasting, because I have belly that I am trying to get rid of. My health been up and down. Diabetes do runs in my family, high blood pressure. I want to be able to make that lifestyle change. I try so many diets, vegan diet, vegetarian diet, I definitely want to try keto. But thanks again for providing awesome content! I’m very hopeful and determined on improving my health thanks to you ❤️
In one of his videos he said white peony helps with pco. Hope you find relief and healing 🙏🏼.
