    Dr. Berg, your RUclips channel has been very helpful for me when regular doctors could not help. I didn’t get my period for 3-4 months with big ovarian cysts and pains. 2 doctors couldn’t figure out the cause (multiple blood tests and scans) , my OBGYN said I needed surgery to have them removed, thank god I found your videos on this subject, I started having iodine and you have literally saved me 8 grand (surgery cost) and helped me know the cause of the cysts. I don’t get ovarian cysts anymore because of your RUclips channel. I think your vids are helping more people than you know, thank you!!!
    Everything I've written in the comments is from my personal experience, but I do hope it has helped others!
    Edit 21st January 2023: The first brand of iodine I used to paint under my feet was Gold Cross Iodine Tincture, 2.5% iodine, 2.5% potassium iodine. It has alcohol in it so I changed to a different brand in 2018 and still use that one today. That one is called Lugol's Solution from a site called gaps diet Australia. It is 5% iodine, 10% potassium iodine. They work the same for me, just that the Lugols Solution one has no alcohol in it which I personally prefer.

      @@janelusubalieva5243 Hey, sorry I just saw your comment. I'm in Australia and I use Lugol's iodine. I paint it on my feet with a paintbrush before bed, almost every night (sometimes I won't use it for a week or so). I'll have to find the exact one I use.
      How long for cysts: I painted it under my feet every night (and morning since my body absorbed it quickly) and I got my period after 1 week of doing that. (That was the first time I had my period in 3-4 months). The cysts eventually disappeared. I think it took less then a month for them to completely disappear. I haven't had ovarian cyst problems since starting the iodine under my feet routine (It has been years)

    Thank you Dr. Berg!! I used to get breakouts only once in a while up until my early 20s. Then that's when the struggle started. It wasn't ever severe BUT I started to get mild to slightly cystic acne. I chalked it up to stress and other things. Now 6 or 7 years later I find out I have a 4 cm ovarian cyst. I found out because of symptoms I was having and got it checked out. A coworker of mine sent me this video. I started taking your sea kelp supplement. It's been about 2 months now and my symptoms have drastically improved AND my acne is basically gone. I guess I had a hormonal imbalance all along. I wish I knew sooner.

      I recommend she join the Facebook group 'Nancy's Nook'. It's the best source of up to date info on endo, and a very supportive community of fellow endo ladies. Cut to the chase - best treatment is excision surgery with an approved, experience surgeon. They have a list of surgeons recommended by women and vetted by the group invigilators. I found my surgeon via the list. Exercise helps, if she has the energy and it can be tolerated. I take kelp too! I also cut out alcohol, caffeine, sugar and limit dairy/wheat. It all contributes. But I realise some women can do everything 'right' with diet and it doesn't make a difference. Every woman is different. Good luck!

      endometriosis can be managed with n-acetylcysteine 3x600mg per day for 3 days, stop taking for 4 days, then begin taking it again and repeat the cycle. a more expensive option is daily systemic enzymes which come at different price points, and under different brands, ie. Fertilica Choice Enzymes / Fibrenza / Endovan. Probably your daughter would do well to check out hormone disruptors in her diet as well. Dr.Sara Gottfried is a gynecologist with quite a few youtube videos and a book called "the hormone reset diet", written in 2015 and available at most libraries, and it's a relatively easy 21 day elimination diet that helps get out of whack hormones balanced. iodine, keto, and intermittent fasting are not the answer to every problem faced by mankind, as seems to be the case where dr.berg is concerned. :/ Oh, R Baker has a point, as wheat is concerned, there are studies to show that cutting out gluten improves endometriosis. Surgery is fine if she's up to it I guess, but might as well learn about other options before a potentially unsuccessful surgery.

    I had a really big cyst (25cm) but I literally felt no pain from it! It wasn't until it burst that I was rushed to the ER after vomiting from the pain. I had to get an emergency surgery to remove it along with my right ovary and tubes. I'm currently on birth control per my doctor, but I prefer the more "natural" route so will definitely be eating more sea kelp after this!

    • @infinityreaper4652
      @infinityreaper4652 5 лет назад +2

      probably not. you'll want to go on an unprocessed diet, do some research on hormone disruptors, and look at other options that are proven to reduce cysts. n-acetylcysteine is very promising, 3x600mg for 3 days, break for 4 days, then repeat the cycle (3 days on/ 4days off)for several months is shown to reduce cysts. if you do ok on n-acetylcysteine, add some digestive enzymes and vitamins to the mix and you'll probably get good results. systemic enzymes have a pretty good track record of reducing cysts, but are more expensive than NAC. cysts probably are the result of poor diet and aging hormones, possibly too much stress, high cortisol could put the endocrine system out of whack. it's good to address everything, not just look for a pill to cure you.

    I have had ovarian chocolate cyst 15 years and spent $20k tried and researched almost everything... Indeed NO high sugar fruits and food, soy, flaxseed, avoid conventional meat and diary etc... I still didn't go do surgery because several of my doctor friends told me that after surgery it's quite easy to grow back if not cure the root problem of the body, which is estrogen dominance and stomach spleen function not strong... besides the surgery would accelerate ovarian aging when we get old as it took away partial ovarian tissues, but if it's big size, then maybe surgery is a good way, mine was 6.7cm left and 3.4cm right, now finally shrinked half and doctor said right side 1.4cm one probably would disaapear in couple months... I am waiting to see the result.

      The biggest increase that has been seen in thyroid goiters and low iodine has been since so many people started using pink salt and so many doctors have put people on low salt diets! Iodine is so important for the functionality of almost everything in your body. Definitely use salt with added iodine, you can get sea salt with added iodine if that’s what you use or regular salt. Also, have your iodine level checked when you get blood work.

    Also, years ago, I had lumpy breasts for years and it cleared up after taking fermented cod liver oil, recommended by Ramiel Nagel to re-mineralize teeth. Dr Christiane Northrup mentioned that iodine is stored in our breast tissue, so I presume I restored my iodine with the fermented cod liver oil (?)
