Saw Tina Turner in concert in South Africa in 1996. She blew the stadium away with her energy and voice. Before cell phones and social media, and all the craziness of mainstream media, she was a real star, a proper star and a lady in every way.

As an 80's kid myself, I feel like a small part of my childhood died. She was at the same rank as Michael Jackson, Prince, Janet, Madona, Cyndi Lauper, and a few others. She was a MASSIVE talent and certainly helped shape 80's iconic music!

I worked as a dancer on a show she was doing. I had the privilege to see her rehersing and as a person close up. She was so humble and respectful and kind to everyone!! She told me many tales of past present and future and I told Her mine. We loss together and won. Our shared suffering only strengthened the bond that tied us. We rose from our ashes like a Phoenix and our chains freed us from our pride and humbled us. Thank you Love for every gaze in your eyes, every kiss and embrace. I got to pass you by and breathe your aroma, hear your voice and taste the fruit of your love. In any amount was more than my tea cup could hold. The moment was an eternity and I am grateful. Showing my age, was lucky enough to see Tina twice. Once with Ike and Tina Turner, and secondly at an open air concert. Fabulous energy, the air was electrifying. She was simply "The Best". An icon. Rest easy, will always be remembered. ❤
What a deeply beautiful and talented woman who radiated class….impeccable class. In my mind the most famous example of good karma. Someone who rose from the ashes like a resilient superstar Phoenix. I typically don’t get too emotional about stars passing but her music reminds me of special times in my life both good and sad. I was able to see her perform at the United Center through the generosity of friends and it was unforgettable. ❤ She represented everything it means to be a human.
Some few artists can leave a mark on the collective human soul. Tina was one of those very special artists that make us proud of our human race. I think we have all been immeasurably lucky to have enjoyed her talent in our lifetime. And Tina, wherever you go they must be having a big party to welcome you. Thank God for Tina.

I saw Tina Turner live in Connecticut during her “Simply The Best” farewell tour. This comcert came towards the end of her US leg and I cannot describe the energy she gave to this concert, energy that you don’t get from artists a quarter her age. I was lifted in spirit and felt the energy of her presence for DAYS after being there. I have no words to describe what she brought to the stage and its impact on the concertgoer. Thank you, Tina, for this experience of coming into your presence. I can feel it today. I’m blessed by you. Shalom

I had the “I, Tina” tshirt from that concert with the tour dates/cities on the back and wore it out. That tour ran from 2008... 2009
She is the one performer I got up at 3 a.m. for, drove to the mall, and sat in line for tickets for her “Private Dancer” tour. I was number 1 in line, but when the box office opened and tickets started printing, we still got just nose bleed balcony section. It didn’t matter, it was one of the finest performances we ever saw. The woman did not stop the entire concert. She was just amazing.

of course I am very careful with certain lyrics in certain songs deffinitly to our Father in heaven but the words "Your Simply the BEST" I'm sure does not disappoint our Father in heaven MY JOB IS TO MAKE SURE IM MINDFUL OF WHAT I AM SAYING WHEN SINGING Until THE LORD THY GOD....or our Lord or Savior it's songs that are not to sing to him that dishonor him and some simply not to sing at all to him...yes some songs are not good to sing to the Lord, some songs can start out good yet end up in all kinds of wrong lyrics so Yes, I am extra careful when I sing certain lyrics to thy Lord yet often I simply have to change up the lyrics and take some words out of some songs for I am a song writer as well, just to replace positive lyrics or more loving words unto God cause many songs the Lord did not place in man or women to sing or rap, yet some songs he did but the enemy got in some ppl and twisted up certain song lyrics...so I'm just saying as a Women of God I am careful ..and I believe in BALANCE .ok back to our awsome Tina, I was saying that with the song she sang I can say it to thy Father above in heaven "God YOUR SIMPLY THE BEST" 💜❤️💜 the other day it played in my head and other times ...yet when I sing it I sing it unto the Lord thy God because God is simply the BEST our creator the great "I AM" or I'd sing it sometimes in my kitchen while washing dishes to YESHUA Jesus (of course the main lines to properly sing unto thy Lord and Savior) and sometimes when I'm thinking of all the goodness the Lord has done with bringing unto me my husband... My GI JOE he is also "SIMPLY the Best" my Tyrone Gooden what a Gift from God I love you honey 🍯...and because of Tina singing this song I greatly thank her for departing this part of God's belongings 🌎 her song with us as well as all her other beautiful fun amazing songs...definitely ones our Father in heaven wouldn't mind listening to. I am so saddened by Tina's passing. What struck me so much about watching her performing on t.v. was how deeply sensual she was singing her more ballad like songs. I never got to see her perform live because her tickets would sell out so quickly. I love all of her music from beginning to end. My favorites are "Proud Mary" and "What's Love Got To Do With It" and I never stopped playing both regularly. Heaven received a Queen. RIP 🥀🥀🥀

The way she rebuilt her life after leaving her abusive husband has always stuck with me as I too had to pick up the pieces of my life after being abused for many years. I was so saddened to hear of Tina Turner’s passing. I was dreading this day. She was a true role model for all women who have been abused. She changed the trajectory of her life with her strength and passion. I will miss her.
She inspired women to take back their lives. I was a teenager in the 80’s when she had her big comeback as a solo artist.Her life story always fascinated me, such a strong woman. I am glad she found real love and happiness in life before she passed.
