Fact is that one of world's most renowned jazz sax players on Earth played the solo on the original recording, and Mick didn't credit him in the track listing on the vinyl or CD issues. It's very disrespectful not to do that, so only the snide in this discussion is A) Mick's for dissing Sonny Rollins, and B) Yours for not having a clue.

Love this song! It's very rare that you see a band that has performed for SO long , that can do the wild music and then mellow out with songs like wait in on a friend. Then also capture the wide wide attention of so many ranges of age groups. I'm 57 so the rolling stones were performing quite well before I was even a teenager. And they're STILL around performing now in 2018! Even through age, drugs, etc. Amazing.

I'm thinking playing second to the fab 4 pushed them to keep keeping on. As far as drugs Brian Jones and Keith Richard's did enough for any band or bands for however many years it finally ends up being? JONES is still using drugs wherever he is ?

Every time I watch one of these videos, I get jealous of Jagger's outfits. They're just so cool, just so glamorous.
Also, I love the idea presented here, about people getting to vote on a song that the band'll then perform. It's a nice little way to get more fan interaction, and it gives a chance for some of the deep cuts to be played.

I knew Josh in college. At the time I was also a sax player. Since then I'm a born again musician on guitar, but I'm still fairly junior on my now main axe.
So I've been learning a lot of tunes.
Fellow musicians and particularly those who aspiring to be musicians, shedding every day, you have to learn tunes, as many as you can. As a sax player, I never had a repertoire; I played standards. If you don't have a repertoire, you're not a musician, you just play an instrument, no matter how well you play. If you can't answer the request of "Play something" with a tune or five from a repertoire, you're not a musician.
Anyway, in building my repertoire, I've found I play the Rolling Stones more than anything else.
