Showed Lion King 2019 to a real lion. He has existential crisis now.
This was like a hybrid of live action and animation, live animation :)
You know what sucks tho? The harder these people work, the less we’ll notice it. Hats off to you guys
Anyone notice how good the water animations are?
Love or hate the film, you have to respect the level of detail and work put into the film. For me it was breath taking, I will always be loyal to the original animated release but this remake was beautiful, i love it separately as its own stand alone film. It could be my biased for lions and conservation but for me it was well worth the wait.
I am still absolutely amazed by this movie. Currently studying animation/vfx at uni, hoping to break into the industry after graduating, and even now after 2 years of full time study I still have no idea how they did this. I'm just blown away and can only dream of working on something this perfect in the future!
the remake is perfect except they forgot one crucial thing:
the soul
Agree.. Felt like the actors were just reading the script.
@@thebeardedrooster2871 Well, would be weird if actors were more emotional if they can't even animate Simba's face differently when he's happy and when his father died.
Sorry but Animals can't show expressions like humans as its live action so they can't do much about it because it would have looked fake if they did it
@@ankitwawage did you grow up with the old? because you would know... many epic scenes of the original are not there (the animals dancing, singing and celebrating) This new version has no imagination, fantasy or epicness. The whole Disney team just did a ctrl+c / ctrl+v, obliterating what was real and beautiful in the process. They remade the movie for the money and the technology, not the story - the adventure - the love. You can feel it in every frame: the selfish vacuity of beauty without depth, the image just for the sake of the image, without any meaning. A magnificent painting with no soul, no true intention, no purpose, no integrity. We don't make real movies anymore, because art is at the complete mercy of money, fame and imitation.
@@10HW Yeah I understand that but you can't have just what you desire. There's lot difference in fantasy and live action. If you start doing fantasy scenes like animated movies it won't work as it will make movie just for fun purposes like we used to watch cartoons in childhood. For live actions there should be some seriousness about movie story, which is not applicable for animations as they are mainly for fun and light while movies (live action) have slightly or highly serious tone. Yeah I agree there should have been some scenes from original but that was animation while this is live action and I'm pretty much happy with what they did and I accept the changes but yeah some scenes could have been added.
Respect all the work it's just amazing
Plot twist: the movie was not animated it was trained animals.
No it’s animated there not real animals
It’s alllll cgi
@@prometheus_connor it was a joke, can you not read
@Caitlyn r/whoosh
@@prometheus_connor R/WOOOOOOOHSH
Animators didn’t do everything. Modelers did he models for example. Animator’s work is just to make the character move. Modelers make the character. Riggers make the characters be able to move, give them bones.
I loved the old one a lot but the new one is better it’s really cool and i enjoy it
Totally this is creating a real life simulation of animals that looks amazingly realistic
"If they used one computer, it would take 8,790 years" Did they account for all the Windows updates in here?
Well done you guys your videos are always amazing
Sub 2 pewdiepie
Un sub 2 t series
0:32 Millions of hours of animating? Okay see you in 114 years
Dude there were many people that worked on them
Karen ! Companies like those have huge render farms so saying 77 million hours doesn’t make much sense if you just have 77,000 computers rendering for 1000 hours
This is some kind of sorcery I tell you.
I’ll save you some time and tell you how it was animated right now
They put all the budget into detailing the smallest things and then realised they didn’t have enough money to animate the facial expressions
we shall respect these hard worked animation movies
Just watched it and what a masterpiece, well made, well organised movie. Really
Claudio Conforti Masterpiece? More like a crappy clone of the original to me.
@Molly McConnell no, it's not a shocker. I've just mentioned mine, so it's not a shocker to me.
@Molly McConnell but I didn't bash Claudio's opinion. I said, 'to me'. That means it's MY opinion. Wether you agree or disagree, it's your own business.
@@B121AN1 To be fair, although you don't explicitly state it, your original message had the undertone of "wow, you really think this trash is great?" when I first read it. I'm sure Molly McConnell sensed a similar undertone as well, but perhaps you just gave off the wrong message by accident.
@@B121AN1 its easier to have your own comment as an opinion rather than expressing a contradicting opinion to one. Thats how normal people do
Many disliked how it seemed like a documentary but I actually loved that, it's a different take on the story telling that i respect a lot. In my opinion it works amazingly well, and still has a ton of emotion without the cartoony expressions.
you have good taste, only a small group of us
finally someone who can appreciate this remake 😌😩
i always found the original facial expressions too exaggerated and tiring to watch
8:00 now, that's the simba I know
Ohh man i can't even imagine how much work was put into making this
I'm a 90's kid this re-make made me happy, amazing cgi effects,
Wow.. This is amazing
Really nice...
I don't get why do people dislike the live action remakes? It's really cool that they have things like this..
Squid Cena I agree. I love all the Disney remakes!!! They were all amazing!
This isn’t a live action remake
My favorite part is how almost the entire “live action” movie was in cgi, including the sets
Although a lot of people hated on lion king, even if a live action wasn't necessary, we should still acknowledge the realism of the CGI, because almost EVERYTHING in that movie was animated
I just got double ads that are both 15 seconds long and you can't skip them.
*"millions of hours of animating"*
1000000 hours = 41666 days
*oh okay*
This is a real art wow
I still think that the 2D version had more fluidity than the CGI version.
Elaborate please.
Ok boomer
@sbcontt YT Not a good argument.
The LEGO Movie is exactly a movie where all the toys are as rigid as actual plastic toys, and it was dope. And it even has the whole "it's also a live action" as a twist.
@sbcontt YT that movie rango literally made me depressed.
@@Dawn-Shade Yea sure the technology is greAt but there's still no emotion. We shouldn't be raving so much about this that we forget to value the real art of animation.
Amazing video!
Sometimes the best thing about animated movies is that they're unrealistic
Massive wow to the VFX team!
This is INCREDIBLE animation 👏 😍
Can't tell in words 😲
you just did
Literally millions of hours of animating.... Meanwhile
1'000'000 hours= 114 years
Now thats dedication to a movie....
How many films they make of old Lion king, my fav is the 90s one♡
Insider Channel Editor: Yo what were doing for the thumbnail?
Insider: Circle, Arrow point and zoom in on the lions hairline, works everytime.
I'm not mad at the people who made the movie, I'm mad that their animation was wasted on a subpar retelling.
