I really didn't think I would care about the details but wow. As an artist myself, seeing it all really had me squealing! The dresses and the the way the fabric folds left me in awe every time and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. So much contrast compared to the first film where everything was full of snow and white. The scene where the soldiers were fighting the Northaldra and the sunlight was shining on them was so stunning I gasped. Ugh, I wish I could acutely express my adoration was the detail but I just don't have the words.
The most impressive one for me is Elsa running on the ocean waves.......dam.....I have no Idea how they cooperated.....either animation matches VFX waves or the opposite are super time consuming. One department want to change something will cause massive works for the other department XD
One detail that I noticed and really appreciated was the ground, yes, like the grass and dirt. It was a 100% accurate portrayal of what Scandinavian forest floors and open plains are like (bumpy, a bit rocky, patchy grass, green, yellow, brown etc.). I’m Scandinavian and it was really well done and a nice detail that just made the world that much more realistic.
I love how videos like this says "animation" made by "animators", but those are not the work of an animator, textures of skin and clothing is called "texturing and shading, hair is called "gooming" and that is made by Look Dev artists, not by the animators
They probably say animators as a generalizing title for the people who made the movie. Most people don't know these terms, the video is most likely made for people with a more basic level of understanding animation.
Hundreds of TD worked over years to help artists create almost anything. Gosh I can’t believe the Pixar guys used to DRAW the complex animations that the computer couldn’t do at the time, and they have to cheat through everything from ray tracing to crowd sims.

When I saw Elsa running across that beach and then onto the dark sea, I felt every little texture and sensation that she might’ve felt while running across cold, wet stones, the ocean and ice.
actaully with horses, the ears mean a lot. if the ears are pricked forward they are either alert, happy, or something like that. If the ears are pinned back they are angry. If they are being ridden, and you are making the “kissing sounds” or saying a command like “trot” “easy” “woah” or “good boy/girl) they may flip back one ear to show they are listening. Of course this isnt always the case, as each horse is different!

These animators probably know more about the world more than anybody right now.
while I would say that’s not true, it actually kinda is. not every one of them, but a lot of the smartest of animators or people that work in the animation industry know SO much about psychics, light, and just general surface details and information.
true
And this is the reason they took 6 years,
Can you imagine? 8 months making just a horse!
Well it takes 9 months to make a baby
You are forgetting that anatomy is complicated. How long does it take an artist to fully understand on how to draw a human? Years sometimes.

Ah yes, The animation is made out of animation
You mean CGI. Real animation is basically paper on paper with pencils.
Ani mation
Mr. Friendship “the technique of photographing successive drawings or positions of puppets or models to create an illusion of movement when the movie is shown as a sequence.”
there is no such thing as “real animation”, it is always an animation if it moves by some kind of framerate
@@poweroffriendship2.0 "real animation" lmaooo
@@miloe.3245 Well, that's what I'm referring to. It's about a series of pictures that creates an illusion or movement to make a figure moves in beyond.
And let's not forget that the other definition of "animation" is referring as movements. For example, "animated objects" even when it's not a drawing.
*Insider:* The animators have devoted their time and effort to make everything realistic and sharp to appeal our needs.
*Animators:* Yeah we just thought it was nice looking so we stuck with it.

My favorite scene was during into the unknown when Elsa is imagining what the forest will be like. The animation was so smooth and the colors are stunning. The animators really outdid themselves.
Apparently animation was the career field teachers were talking about when they told us we'd need every class in the future.
I can’t believe it’s been six years this movie has a special memories to me and seeing the story grow with us makes it even better ❤️

Cool how Disney really researches before making their movies.
All of animators do research.

@@memint2474 This. Although, those more intricate terms are really interesting and I would love to see something about them in the future.

actaully with horses, the ears mean a lot. if the ears are pricked forward they are either alert, happy, or something like that. If the ears are pinned back they are angry. If they are being ridden, and you are making the “kissing sounds” or saying a command like “trot” “easy” “woah” or “good boy/girl) they may flip back one ear to show they are listening. Of course this isnt always the case, as each horse is different!
