Los Lobos on The Wheels of Soul with Tedeschi Trucks Band at The Mann Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 8, 2022. Grateful Dead cover with Derek Trucks
Coolest thing about Trucks? He doesn't use in ears or monitors. He said he plays off of the room, the feel, the crowd, and everyone else on stage. Now how much of a natural do you have to be to play like that?
Watch Rick Beato's interview with DT on RUclips. No in-ear monitors, no wedges. All by ear. And so humble and down to earth. I'd drink a beer with that cat for sure.
Awesome show ! Gabe Dixon, Los Lobos were great !! TTB off the charts with their full band !! They had the audience moving !! So glad we went !! Go see this show !!
We have tix for Aug. Looking forward to it. I've seen both bands a lot over the years, including together at the Beacon in 2015. TTB full band is just a force of nature. And Los Lobos.. they are flat out killer all the time. Last time we saw them was in a little place in Southern CA. They worked without a set list and powered through for 2 hours huddling up every couple of songs.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Dead and Co. play too slow. I hate whenever a song comes on by them on The Dead channel. I always think that Jerry's rolling in his grave.
@@paulinwoburn9680 I'm very sensitive to it.. being a lifelong drummer. I hope Mayer will pull the plug after this final summer tour. Mickey+Bill were done years ago.
@@lornestein7248 I don't think Weir has much left either. I think Mayer is a good guitarist and singer, but he should stay away from Grateful Dead music. A friend of mine who's a musician is convinced Dead and Co. chose him to bring in a younger audience. I think I agree with him.
The guys sporting a G&L Espada oi! Forgive me for not knowing their names either There was a show at Campbell Heritage theatre they sounded great They've been together since high school days many 50 years or so Los Lobos yeah
@@infiniteuniverse9528 lots of good stuff - Suzanne Vega, Indigo Girls, Lyle Lovett, even Jane's Addiction. I was a fan of Midnight Oil too, but thought their version of Wharf Rat was horrible.
I'm sure the song was great but after the water cup fell on David's Deluxe Reverb at 1:15, precariously tipped forward and still half full, I couldn't look at anything else.
Seen hundreds at his level; Derek would say the same thing. With that out of the way, Derek is a monster! And a national treasure. And a joy to watch and listen to.
With that statement, you are perhaps the worst thing to happen to music...perhaps to humanity. Hurry - the shuttle is leaving for Mars in like a week or two...
@@PlayinWithEverythin I know you're right, I think this guy is ultra talented and obviously a great musician but I just find it so boring apart from when Steve Howe does it, I know I'm a bad man.
Have tickets to see them on my birthday at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
Ain’t Derek Trucks like the coolest guitarist ever..? 👍🏼❤️..it’s like he breathes music.. really good music..

Los lobos , probably the greatest jam band on the planet at any given time!
Remember seeing Derek Trucks play here in Jacksonville when he was 14 .Now look
This is so excellent. These guys are fabulous musicians I love them all. Thank you so much for the great tunes.🎶💃🥰💜☮️🤙🏼💜💜
wonderful show - had the pleasure of attending as well - hoping all is well with Los Lobos guitarist Cesar Rojas, his presence was missed last night
I was wondering where he was.
Going to see Tedeschi Trucks Band July 25 in Aurora Il. Stoked!! Los Lobos always rocks.
Going to see them Sunday in Huber Heights, OH. Will be my third time seeing TTB. Can't wait!!
Pretty Sweet! Brings back memories.

I have tickets for St. Louis show this month. I'm so excited! My 4th live show of this group. Oh yes, I'm 71 yrs young.
Can't wait for Red Rocks in 2 weeks. Hope they perform this again there.
Derek Trucks is one beautiful guitar 🎸 musician. Sending love 💕 to you 💜☮️🤙🏼🎶💜
Gotta be the best
Heard a version on SiriusXM of Dead and Co. doing Bertha live a month or so ago and it was so slow it about put me to sleep. This is so much better!
Agree! - I posted the same comment on a D&Co. fan site. Many angry replies... This sounded like the song!! Theirs was a slow, meandering mess.

@@lornestein7248 sad to hear about bill. Mickeys always had the knack of tripping the tempo but bill was there to keep it straight.

1:14 never put a drink on your amp or above your amp...

Are they touring together? Excellent match-up! Where is Cesar?
NICE!!
Any decent "Jam-Band" has to know their Dead covers.
Absofreakinlutely 😏
There was an album put out a bunch of years back called Deadicated - Los Lobos performed Bertha on it. 😊
@@ronfriedman8740 I remember that album.

I AM THE MOON 🌚

I love this guy, but there was this guy named Jerry who holds that title. No disrespect intented
Where is Cesar?
Nice work Suave!
It was a good one til security wanted to see my ticket
Big sexy men like us always have eyes on us.

Derek is a monster.

Saw that too
Where is Cesar Rojas?
Saw him at 15 at Waterloo village with some of my best friends.
No Marshall in sight.
trucks prob the best guitarist
There is no such thing as the best guitar player..
You mean your favorite?

Is Rojas sick🤔
Nice to see Derek without the old ball and chain - off the leash -- and playing with fire with my homies Los Lobos
Sound is terrible.
Derek trucks can play guitar ,not so much other guys
god slide guitar is so boring.

Dude, do you even At Fillmore East?
@@mikev.2945 Do I even do what at Fillmore east
yes & no.. It can become repetitive and mono-tone like.. Can only take it for a few songs... not a whole concert evening.
where is Cesar Rosas?
