Subtracting the prime COVID years of 2020-2021, Phil is right that violent crimes in the city are up a bit in the last few years (averaging 40-50 murders in a city of 700,000+ people per year) but property crimes is actually significant down from 2013...except for grocery shopping bags and Toyota Corolla wheels, apparently.
