It's truly amazing, it's not clickbait at all and feels to lack boasting, usually it's "A day in the life of a guy living in his boat off shore in danger all the time *sharks*" or some junk, this is basically just "Sailing" and "Boat tour" it's amazing
I love how realistic this channel is, not some luxury yacht "sailing" across the eath. Just a humble guy tryna do what he loves. Keep it up, man! I've also binged your sailing across the pacific videos.
I can’t remember the last time I was this entertained by watching an adventure mini-series! Your maturity and utter absence of attention seeking melodrama deserves a large round of applause! That’s a damn rare thing these days (and I’m quite sure you had some legitimate drama on that excursion) Are you in need of funding assistance for your trip to NZ? Thank you for sharing!
Garrett you are an inspiration to all those Teens out there that say they "cant get it done". Through sheer dedication, focus and persistence and you have shown that whatever your dream is "GO FOR IT"!
Binged all of your sailing across the pacific in once sitting last night at like 3 o'clock in the morning last night and it was genuinely some of the most entertaining content I've watched in a while. Kudos to you man for braving something really intimidating and making it through to the end. Looking forward to content around French Polynesia, Fiji, and New Zealand. Safe travels and good luck!
You and the windhippie define what ‘the adventure’ is supposed to be. Seeks less, do more, dig it all like there is no tomorrow. I started when i was 21 (1967) and sailed your route with one day following the next in a way that the other ‘channels’ now seem to have lost. Big cats with the floating home vibe, too much ‘production’, but something has gone missing. What was interesting for the sailing content has become stale and forced. Don’t worry about carrying the cameras around all the time. If you do you will miss what is really happening. You will make it without the outside support. You have already proven you can adapt when challenged and earning as you go will become easy. No responsibility to your patrons.Capture what you find of value, keep bringing that raw.
Wow... I thought all true explorers disappeared after the 1950s with the advent of satellite navigation, telephony, and aviation. I am about the same age as you, I love the sea, I am interested in ships and sailing, but I am weak and get motion sickness even in cars. 😵💫 (That means I've never been on anything more than a pedal boat on the river.) Through your videos, I learned that life at sea is not always as romantic as it is in novels, and that sailing is a series of endless hardships and full of salt water. But seeing your adventures was enough to give me dreams and inspiration. Your boat is the most beautiful small boat I have ever seen! Its interior appears to resemble a small camper van. 👍 I understand a little bit about how sailors lived on ships during the Age of Exploration.
I'm an old lady who's lived an exciting life travelling around the world, and the YT algorithm blessed me with your wonderful adventures. I've enjoyed a number of your videos tonight Garrett, and look forward to seeing more.
I've been fishing almost all of my 66 years. Deep-Sea, Surf, Fly and Spinrods... etc. My advice is that the best lure currently in your box is the one that works. You need to "fish" until you find it. Lol. Blessings.

That's a sweet setup!! Love your humble and honest approach to sailing, and for taking us along on your journey. Can't wait to follow you all the way to NZ!
Garrett, I am amazed at your courage to take this on at the age of 19. Sail on, keep it going. You will have more stories and adventures to tell for the next half century than most people achieve in a lifetime.
Watched your whole journey thru the Pacific on my 8 hour shift last night! People underestimate the mental strength you need as well, being out there for so long by yourself! Good on you man! Im glad to hear that you will be sailing thru the Motherland, Tonga! I hope you enjoy the friendly islands. Keep on keeping on!!
Been watching your videos and I gotta say I admire your courage to do something like this alone at such a young age, i'm a 35 year old man and I don't have nearly enough balls to do this. Much kudos and many safe voyages (:
Just found this channel. I am so impressed by all you have achieved at such a young age. I really enjoy your videos. The truth warts and all they are inspiring as are you. A fine role model for other young people to follow. Keep well and safe. James.
I have absolutely no desire to sail, but I'm enthralled by your trans-pacific voyage. That you bought the boat, prepared it for such a daunting excursion, and managed the long, miserable hours alone, at night, and in threatening seas. Wow! In my younger days, I was a pilot and had no fear of the skies - even on long trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic flights. But being alone on the ocean would absolutely terrify me. So, good for you. Keep living large. Chase your dreams and remember, everyone has an equally interesting story (well, quite often). Part of your journey will be hearing some of them. But for now, you've got one hell of a tale to tell!
Hey Garrett! You have tons of potential with your channel and let's face it, LIFE! We are rooting for you and can't wait to see where you go next. John & Bev
Few months late to the party here, but I just binged your 3 Hawaii to French Polynesia vids. Love the no BS or ego inflated style you got going on, you sound like a genuine dude. Im 21, moving to Hawaii in a couple years and will be doing this trip very soon. Keep the videos coming, Fiji should be dope asf!
Garrett great times ahead! I’ve watched a lot of sailors over the last few years and I’m glad I found your channel. Wish RUclips would have been around in the 70s when I was your age I would have had a different life for sure, on the water. Have an adventure and thanks for including us all, stay safe stay cool.
Great to see your boat, Garrett! You're a real inspiration. I've just had my very first sailing lesson at age 61. I doubt I'll be doing an ocean passage or a circumnavigation at any point, but seeing people like you putting it all out there really fires up my sense of adventure, so who knows where we might all end up. Enjoy your time in the Pacific and I'll be tuning in for every vid. Stay safe and have a blast!
@@garrettsadventure Great point! I'm doing my sailing one day at a time and focusing on enjoying every moment. Who knows what the future holds. Never say never.
All I can say is what an incredible journey this must be. Im 19 as well and moving out to Colorado on my own was a big enough leap, let alone sailing the pacific. It's a joy to watch the videos you make and follow along. I grew up sailing and it makes me feel at home again. Id love to do what you're doing in a few years and just buy a cheap boat and go. Incredible kind of life to live. Don't stop chasing that man. I wish you fair winds and following seas.

One thing I find really interesting about Garrett's time on his boat that I didn't see a lot of during the recordings of the trip, is how he wobbles while the boat rocks. I'm sure it's just him subconsciously correcting for the way the water rocks the boat, but it's very fascinating to watch. You can see it at 5:24 when he's telling us about his water storage. Great work Garret, and congratulations on your first successful voyage across the pacific. You're a fantastic inspiration to us all here in oceanless Nebraska!

Good job. You are a man. You have decided to embrace adventure. Godspeed. Fair winds. Stay on course... except when you get off. Then handle it. As you already know, it's not easy. As you might not yet know, sometimes things seem impossible. There are always headwinds, There is always something broken. In short, it's always a knife fight. But the only thing that ever conquered adventure is a true heart, faith, and perseverance. Get it, boy.
Good gravy Garrett has lived more and figured out more about a passion and himself than most adults twice his age! Such an inspiration. I hope you inspire other young people to dream big and take risks. God bless.

You’ve got some big cojones for setting sail alone in that little boat on the vast ocean; I could never do that. Looking forward to watching your future adventures.
Thanks for sharing your adventure! You're an inspiration sailing on your own and learning as you go! Keep it up and enjoy life this is what its all about :)
Garrett I am a new subscriber, subbed last night. You are doing what I wanted to do when I was younger, I'm 49 now about to 50 next week! I always wanted to sail, I wanted to be in Sea Scouts but there were not Sea Scout units near me. I went the regular Boy Scout route but I did earn my Eagle Scout (Highest Rank) . I wanted that Quartermaster (that is the highest rank for Sea Scouts). Anyway, just wanted to be on one of those sailboats out on the sea! Do everything you want to while you are young, trust me one day you are 18 and the next you are 50, it goes fast! Congratulations for you, for doing your thing! Take care and later! -Kevin from South Carolina

You’ll be my new sailor that I’ll be watching. Now for the first time ever you have me thinking about it
I click the like button on your videos before they even start, I never regret it! Keep doing it bro, peace!

God bless.
Very nice comment, thanks
Looking forward to your future adventures.
Great job Garrett. You have earned and paved your way to achieve your dreams. Cannot wait to follow along with you on your journey!

That varnished wood ceiling and other wood trim is beautiful.
One of my favorite things about the boat, too
Excellent Garrett ... thanks for posting!

VERY good camera work, SO enjoyed. Nice you have drone, five star. Now that I am beyond old, reminds me of sailing out of Kaneohe, bay in my F-27. Thanks, stay safe. REAL nice your video work is SO fresh.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Garrett, I watched your video just very recently and throughly enjoyed it. I wish I could do what you are doing but I waisted my life away working. Please keep it up. God keep you safe.
Cool video. That Honda generator was a good choice, I have the same model that gets totally abused and is still rock solid for 10+ years
You have reminded me how much I love to sail. Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for the tour and answering the question on how to get home! Can't wait to see your trip down to New Zealand! Keep up the great work, happy sailing!
Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
You’ve got some big cojones for setting sail alone in that little boat on the vast ocean; I could never do that. Looking forward to watching your future adventures.
Thanks for watching
