- Making gel prints that POP is easier than you think! In this video, I’m sharing my best-kept secret for creating vibrant, eye-catching textures that will take your board book collage to the next level, rubber bands. Whether you're new to gel printing or looking for advanced techniques, you’ll love these simple yet powerful tips to make your prints stand out. I’ll walk you through my process, show you the materials I use, and demonstrate step-by-step how to layer and build depth in your artwork.
I'll also incorporate the coffee-dyed papers from my last video, blending neutral, black, and muted color papers to create a beautifully layered and visually striking design.

The orange bit was super!
I love the combo in your layering, great job!
What a brilliant idea using a board book. I must start looking in Charity shops , boot sales and jumbles sales. Thank you so much.😊
I’m so glad you did this video! I’ve been wanting to see you print papers and use them in a collage! I think it turned out really nice. I do the same thing adding just one more piece. I think yours turned out great!
Thank you Susan for sharing this video - it comes at the right time 😊! I have bought a cheap picture book and gesso to make a collage book like you. But I would forget to sand the book pages if I wouldn‘t have seen your video…
Your deli paper link takes me to tracing paper on Amazon. Is that what you used here? Because that I can get at Amazon Canada, affordably.
I don't think you went too far. It is a shame the lighter pages were left out but the end result is quite dramatic. You did a good job with the fabric to restore the spine.
Ivory black has a brown undertone, that's why it's not black
