Is the blind lady important ?.... She doesn't seem to appear for me
You have to do her mini quest before.
Go near the bridge of sacrifice and talk to her and she will give you a letter you should give it to her father at the top of the morne castle then come back to talk to her and she will be dead.the check then lakeside grace she will be there.

There's a location called The Church of Absolution or Reconciliation or something where you can pray and de-aggro NPC's.
Just Google "Elden Ring pacify NPC's church" or something and it should come up.

The heartbreaking thing is that I beat Godrick, but am unable to get to the rune tower, because I didnt open thd main gate at the start 😂
So i've had to try and run through the upper courtyard and all the way down the steps, but get killed a mega mob of enemies on the way.
Is there anywhere else or any other way i can use the great rune?
No not really but you could try un-equipping everything on your character to move as fast as possible, then get to the site of grace near the gate area and sit down to reset the enemy spawns
Did it! Just rune farmed for a while, then came back and tried a different strategy (sneak killing as many enemies as possible from range with my bow) before I resorted to running the last stretch to the lower courtyard.

I got the goderick great rune . " It boosted me initially, then it went back to my normal level so I'm not understanding How long it's supposed to boost you for Has this happened to anyone else?
You've probably found your answer by now, but using a rune arc will boost your stats until you die. Then you have to use another if you want the buff again

I did the same! So silly that they hold a grudge while it was totally beyond my control
I saved nepheli, when some enemies who were following me started to attack her 😂 I killed them. Was damn lucky not to hit her though and thought I had.
