To anyone playing recently while there's not a grace of site next to the boss - if you clear the top mobs with the pumpkin guy you can just take the Debate Parlor grace site, go to the court yard and hug the right and just run up the path with no boulders. You won't take damage before the fight and it's not too long to get there.

One interesting thing to note is that the big boulders are actually being hit by the pumpkin guy. So after you kill him and the burger wizards, you can safely travel on the curved walkway. Cool detail

I'm a bit late to the party but: Preps: Change your ash of war affinity to Physical (use the heaviest weapon you've got). Summons: wolves are great for her (keep for stage 2). Stage 1: DON'T lock-on to enemies!!! Too many, they're there so you won't properly lock onto the witch when she's down. Finally, the fight: kill the "child" with golden aura (x3), smack the witch while she's down, run when she turns yellow. Do this 2-4 times. If you can't find the golden aura child, look for the purple books flying at you (it's her throwing them). Stage 2: 1st move is avoid the "beam" (she'll always start with it) and THEN summon the wolves. Run to the side but get closer and closer. Let her focus on the wolves and then jump+heavy her from the back and keep swingin' (pay attention not to come to her staminaless). She can't defent herself from plain swings, you'll probably stagger her, squueze in 1-2 heavies when she's staggered. If she breaks-off, repeat (run to the side, get closer, let the wolves catch her focus, attack). If she summons: wolves = keep fighting, dragon, troll or giant: distance yourself and let the summon dissapear. Cheers.

Basically this, but if you have an intelligence build use rock sling. It annihilates her in her second phase.
Not mentioned in video - for the rooftop section, you'll notice some marionettes on a roof that is accessible by doing a sprinting jump. If you make the jump and progress along, you'll eventually get to a chest with the Full Moon Crossbow and eventually a corpse with a smithing stone (4) before you get back to the 'normal' rooftop route. If you're good at parkour, you can also jump onto a spike by that corpse witht he stone, and then jump onto a gargoyle, but I've never been able to do it
Thanks for the guide! There are almost no convenient grace points around in this area and it just pushes you to play very carefully here.

7:43 I found that just sticking to the right side of the path made it so that those balls would almost never hit you. They bounce off the right edge of the path further up and are on the left for most of the rest of the path.
This is my first playthrough. I'm playing as a dexterity character. And I was doing everything that he showed in this video even though I just wanted to fight rennala. Lmao I've been here for hours

I beat her on my second try. I used my poison mist ash of war on a great axe.

Wait while they spam spells behind a pillar until they stop and they'll start walking then when they get close enough I hit them with the nagakiba unsheath

I had more trouble with those wizards then the actual wolf
the chest next to rennala can be opened by a discarded palace key, given by Ranni the witch once you progress her questline

The mini boss at the top of the ramp where the ball rolls at you, is absolutely making me throw a fit
Block with shield, light attack,get away. Rinse and repeat. Keep your stamina up
5:25 if you jump over to the nearby ledge and go around to the other side theres a corpse with some smithing stones. Forget which smithing stones they are but either way there are some there.
site of grace → come out to garden → jump to the right side with rolling stone (during the run, stay right then left and stone wont hit you) → reach the elevator
= easy come back at boss

This is a great comment to see on a walkthrough. Make a decent video next time moron.
Missed an entire section. After climbing the ladder after your first rooftop marrionettes and facing off the single sorcerer and the flying automatons on the long stretch of a bridge and jumping down to the rooftops behind them, don't jump further down. Instead to the left there is a section you can jump too that would lead to a whole other area. Timing is tricky. You need to run and jump at the last second as the jump is quite far.
Your three part walkthrough for lucaria is the best.
This is my first playthrough with Elden Ring and Liurnia is my favorite so far! I’m so excited to do Raya Lucaria!

Three things: You can summon spirit ashes just before killing the boss when she is on the ground. The summons will stay with you in part 2 (I used Mad Pumpkin). Do not try to kill the boss's summons; they disappear by themselves. Finally, use and abuse dodge rolls when she is casting.

Rennala was a pathetically easy boss fight, but that knight right before her was a pain in my butt.
While watching the video the knight just killed himself on the lift for me lol I’m so grateful

Maybe I got lucky, but I beat her easily the first time. As he says, focus on finding the three "children" with the yellow orbs around them and take them out. She'll fall, so get in some damage but back off to avoid getting blasted. She'll rise again, then it's time to find another three glowing orb weirdos and take them out. When she falls this time, summon your spirit (I used Banished Knight Oleg +5 and my weapon is a Bloodhound's Fang +6). Hammer her until she's "done" and the second cut scene plays. As soon as you're able, get close and hammer away. Dodge her spells and roll past them to get close again, hammer away. She did one little summons which my guy dispatched quickly, and then we double-teamed her and finished her off.
Walkthroughs are best when they’re short, sweet, and deft of the quips.

Pretty big thing missing from this guide is that you can also take that huge elevator down on the other side and find a bunch of armor, items, enemies, etc. on several different levels
I got killed by the roller virgin and it went to a lava area. My reward is to get out I need to fight 2 of them. Lucky me?
8:14 if you wanna go quick you can cheese the knight by luring him to the elevator and getting him to step on the button

Great walkthrough. I did get confused after you kick the ladder down, and I misunderstood that to climb down the ladder as well and then couldn't find the next two steps lol. Maybe don't kick the ladder until you're ready to climb down.

Edit: I just beat the boss after 3 tries lol but shes tougher than I thought, a tip is when she summons the spirits to just avoid them and run towards her to attack instead. 40 fkn k runes!!!!!

Well not all when you use rock sling it still do a decent amount of damage it take about 5-7 hit to take her out when using the meteor staff and when she use her magic the summon will disappear
Note: at this point i have like 33 int because of the twinsage crown

HOT TIP! I accidentally lured Moon Grum out to the the boulders and ran past him to go to the lift and it “killed” him and I got the shield without fighting him.
Awesome video! One of the best & done with a sense of humour. After I FINALLY defeated Rennala I saw a video that shows how use the Kaiden Sellsword Ashes as your summon as it stun locks her. Then use Rocksling (physical damage) with Meteorite staff. I had those - but no Kaiden Ashes which seems to make it way easier for those who didn't know. I'd get the ashes first if you're having trouble.

Moongrum the carian knight is op if you treat him like other enemies and just attack guys. The strategy i devised is parry him to death. Use bucklers shield its best for parrying good luck

Saying that knight isn’t tough when if you attack at the wrong time once he paddy’s and one shots you at vigor level 30 is bold.

If you run past moongram and use the elevator then it instantly kills him and u get the shield so you don’t have to fight him

i feel like im under prepared for this area. Rn im at 14 vigor for hp and the wolf two shots me with its light attacks. When should i return here?

Bleed build and bleed attacks work very well on her
If you use the marinate ashes the boss is easy to beat he is a lot faster tho as he is trying to dodge the arrows
you just need to hit the children with the golden orbs once you can melee them you dont need to kill them as she will just summon more if you do i think. 2nd phase just like the 1st one i just used wolves to get on her and went to town with meteor spell or rock fling with meteorite staff. she is fairly easy hardest part is when she casts comet azur or summons
I struggle with the first phase because it's so hard to lock on to her or the right one because there are so many little ahole kids everywhere
