The older version is easily my favorite simply because it is more versatile.....casual with jeans and a t-shirt plus formal with a suit. It is a very clean, smooth, sleek watch a really beautiful piece. The newer version is more sporty, I am just not seeing it going with a suit! E.g, no one can convince me either that the best looking Rolex submariner actually goes with a suit, yet people do it! It is out of place. One thing I would add about these "try on wrist" videos is that you put in writing on the screen what size your wrist is (cm) especially when you are comparing different size diameter cases, it really add to the video and the viewer can clearly see and appreciate how the watch fits on someone else's wrist. Great video.
My daily is a 2006 Daytona with the white dial. It's such a wonderful watch. I wear my no date sub for working outside but otherwise my Daytona never leaves my wrist. The only drawback to the pre-ceramic bezel is the watch can easily go unnoticed. In the last year I've been wearing it only one person has mentioned it. When I was wearing my no date sub daily it was noticed and mentioned to me often. Nobody seems to be aware of what the pre-ceramic Daytona is when I'm wearing it. That's fine as long as thieves are equally in the blind of the value I'm wearing.
Man.. so little information in this video. Quite disappointing. BTW these 2 watches do have the exact same caliber 4130. Very misleading to say that the ceramic has a newer one.
it's popular ONLY bc it's ROLEX... look at Omega speedmaster... it produced almost the same design (panda dial w black bezel) BEFORE ROlex version... too many dummy dummy

The Panda looks much sharper & crisper & stands out.
Prefer the new one. The contrasting black/white coloring alone makes it more attractive, before we even talk movement.
