he's playing with ai manipulation. it's hard to tell if you're not used to the games tendencies...but those who do know the games tendencies can tell. once you figure it out....the game is renowned for being insanely easy....even on the master difficulties.
i agree until i saw this. i can see a pattern here. do you see how he constantly roll back to trigger the ai to make a move? he attacks as soon as the ai make a move. the only way to win is to keep your distance. i think it is almost impossible to fight the ai close range because as soon as you attack, ai will throw you. before this, the only way for me to win is by using noob saibot.
@@kasturiGM is very easy, you have to back jump, and in the air just before land you have to do a kick, then the AI will do a projectile, and after that the ai may come running to combo you, or just stand there, so you can do whatever you want with that, if it comes running you can neutral jump and start a combo from the air, you can do a sweep, so the AI will fall, and if you sweep again the AI will jump back and may come running again, you can start combos from the air, or do teleports while the AI do projectiles, if you see this video, the guy do the back jump with kick and inmmediatly do the uppercut teleport of smoke, umk3 is very easy when you know what to do

I used to beat this game in the arcade the same way but except I would transform into the human Smoke to beat Motaro and Shao Khan. I forgot the code but I remember you had to do it before the beginning of the match to transform him.
Is there a reason the arcade version loops through the same 4 combat arenas twice before switching to the subway? Is it a glitch, or did they cut the other arenas because of space?
Because it was a way to appropriately display new stages and not let them blend with already known ones from the original MK3. There is not repeat loop glitch in UMK3. You have to play through the new levels twice. It is most likely some kind of loading bug. Play a 1 P game on Double Master, get to the second Endurance, lose, then continue, you will play on the Subway, and from there all the MK3 stages will appear, except the Bank. Instead Jade's Desert will be the stage with the Bank's music.
I really thought I was having emulation problems, because of how slow the gameplay is. I'm glad that I know now that it's just how the original arcade game plays. I'm guessing the game was slowed down to deal with the awkward arcade buttons? Or maybe, as a means to aid not so good players that wish to feed quarters into the machine? I don't know. The arcade game plays so slow It's incredibly awkward for me to do the moves or combos. Nice video by the way.
Umk3 was in my opinion pretty toned down compared to it's predecessors, although that isn't necessarily a bad thing because the gameplay is so addicting
