- Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (UMK3) is a fighting game in the Mortal Kombat series, originally developed and released by Midway Games to arcades in 1995. It is an update of 1995's earlier Mortal Kombat 3 (MK3) with an altered gameplay system, additional characters and stages, and some new features.
Several home port versions of the game were soon released after the arcade original, although none were completely identical to the arcade version. Later home versions emulated the arcade original with more accuracy, including Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, which included the game alongside its predecessors Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II. Some versions were released under different titles: Mortal Kombat Advance for the Game Boy Advance and Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the Nintendo DS. The iPhone/iPod version recreates the game using a 3D graphics engine.
UMK3 was well received and has been considered a high point for the Mortal Kombat series. It was later updated to include more content from previous games in the series as part of the console-exclusive Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

This version of UMK3 had the most horrifying screams when a Fatality is performed, especially the male ones. I've seen all other version, but the Sega Genesis ones are the most violent, like for realz somebody is getting tortured to death...
I used to remmber all the fatalities when I was very young. But now forget them. I wish that time could come back.
10:39 I love when this shits happens. Sometimes, very few times, the brutalities can change the sound in the bakcground. In this , is more notorious.. the ending sound it's totally different of another special brutalities.
The brutalities are the most hardest to execute honestly.

This is a great showcase of the finishing move, but with the brutalities, I hardly think there's any point in showing them, since they're all basically the same. Once you see one character doing it, you've basically seen them all do it.

Let me be honest, and no disrespect intended: I didn't really get into Mortal Kombat until Deception, Armageddon, and 11 where a few of my favorites are Terminator, Erron Black, Spawn, Robocop, Ceterion (voiced by Ghost In The Shell's Mary Elizabeth McGlynn), Shao Kahn and lastly (damn! I cannot resist her) Sindel.
...and now every time I play MK11, the feeling of being in an arcade has always been on my mind. Still, the classic fatalities in the old games are legendary while the recent ones are, in Jim Ross' words: Absolutely vicious, vile, and ungodly!

Why couldn't the Mortal Kombat makers keep these fatalities and other thing from this game. That's way MK3 is the best MK game.
The Fatalitites aside, it's a different time. Friendships and Babalities were a response to the negative press the first game got for it's gore. By the time of MK Trilogy and MK4, no one cared about the gore anymore. It had become normal so they removed Friendships and Babalities. Friendships were hilarious. They should be brought back

Say what you will about the graphics, at least the gameplay of the Mega Drive version is still tight. It also has four full extra stages compared to the SNES version, with one of them containing a stage fatality.
In ways, I like these fatalities more than the arcade version. Since the Mega Drive can only render so many bones, the explosions don't feel quite as stupid.
Also, for anyone new, this version of the game has no Animalities. They were removed and replaced by Brutalities for storage reasons (the additional characters), along with Sheeva and the Shao Kahn announcer voice clips. If you want to see those, look at the fatalities of MK3, not UMK3.
The Kung Lao's brutality is the fastest !

I really wish theyd reintroduce brutalities into the series, but like THESE versions of brutalities, they were so dope. The ones that exist now are just... eh.
