Just an FYi, the person that posted about the SDJ cream attracting spiders also said earlier in the summer that a shampoo she used was also attracting spiders. So chances are this person just has a spider problem and has nothing to do with the products she's using

The reviewer who mentioned wolf spiders being attracted to the Sol de Janeiro, has mentioned spiders in prior reviews. So… instead of investing in makeup, they should be investing in an exterminator! 😭
I totally do not believe in the product actually attracting spiders. I’ve been in the USA, Philippines, Australia, etc… with my Sol de Janeiro, and have had no problems. I think it’s just reviewers outing that they don’t clean their house. 😂

OK, I purchased this cream for my daughter as she loves Sol.
She put some cream on a paper towel and placed it outside, and we have not had 1 spider. & we live in Australia with 1001 different species of spiders and wolf spiders.

Saw the wolf spider on Jen Luvs and she said it was debunked and that person actually made a spider comment about another product apparently. They also had a few experts weigh in and said that it was virtually impossible to imitate exactly. Love your videos! Hilarious and informative!

I think consumers who are not makeup savvy might look at eyeshadow palettes differently than makeup artists. I understand how professional makeup artists, as you both are, look for a color story and how it inherently makes sense. As a basic consumer, I look at a palette and decide how many of the colors I wouldn’t use and then decide if it’s worth the price. I don’t have a lot of palettes (because of cost and I don’t want clutter) and I use to the max the ones I purchase so I like when there are different colors in one palette (that suit me of course lol) and other finishes in one palette is a bonus. Maybe to make a palette more appealing to more consumers is why companies don’t always think in terms of a solid color story? It is important though for all the colors in a palette to be quality. Just wanted to mention this view point. I appreciate your professional critiques and input and learn a lot from you two. Happy New Year to you both! Looking forward to a full year of B&B!

Oh, same! I also look for specific colors, like I keep trying to track down a green & a bronze I like, but not many palettes I've looked at have them (I want color, but a lot I'm seeing are so neutral, like 🤮). Also, give me quality! I'm so tired of oopy doopy chalky, barely there, dust. Like, no! Higher cost to me should equate higher quality, but it often doesn't & that's ridiculous.

We live in the desert with lots of spiders & snakes. We also love Sol de Janeiro. We have NEVER been chased by spiders & snakes. Wolf spiders are great hunters and good natural pest control, but not of humans 😂

omg when the MUFE vendor came to train us on that powder she tried sooo hard to make it work that she was selling it as a loose blush/highlight/bronzer. she never even told us to set makeup with it, she just trained us all to grab a shade deeper and use it on clients to warm up the cheeks 😭 you know a product is a flop when the vendors don’t even want to sell it to you lmao

Was watching a reel by Javon Ford concerning the Spider situation, I think it’s very insightful and definitely debunks the theory of this particular product attracting spiders. He also claims that the same reviewer posted a review months prior about a conditioner also attracting spiders. Maybe that person has a spider problem in their house.

So about the Makup Forever setting powder, I saw a video - I think it was Morgan Turner but I could be wrong - and she used the setting powder in a demonstration as a HIGHLIGHT!! Like she literally used a small highlighter brush and put it on the high points of her face and it was a literal highlighter on her. Like glow. Ghouls and goblins galore it was glowing!! Thought you should know because it was hilarious. Like they marketed it as a setting powder. I feel like Johnny when I say, that ain’t a setting powder mama. That’s a highlighter.

Unpopular opinion but Jeffree Star Cosmetics does makeup AND packaging FANTASTICALLY!! Does everything right! From campaign to your hands! Even how it all comes with the perfect open top accordion type box to the tissue paper and promo card! Then the packaging to the products and thrn thr products alone are just so good and worth every penny! Its such an experience, every single time. Im just sayng cuz u spoke of glamlite always doing it right and they sure do! But wanted to mention since nobody ever does. 🤷♀️😘
I feel that about the spiders, though.... Like, the rational part of my brain can totally acknowledge it being proven false/the reviewer being called out for another review involving spiders but... My arachnophobia is like...... Just in *CASE*.......... I probably will no longer purchase SDJ except maybe the original fragrance mist, because I've already had that and never had an issue

The owner of glamlite posted something about this awhile ago w/ how much these licensing fees can run & so I agree, why not do the blue focused color story? Who TF was like OOOOOMG an American eagle makeup collab- FINALLY!!!!🤷🏽♀️😵 fully agree glamlite does it well. Most these brands do a neutral or neutral leaning palette w/ the most colorful collab & it doesn’t make sense. For all the hits from NYX, I’d never buy an eyeshadow palette from them & like you’ve said many times we’ve come SO far with makeup in the last even decade there’s no excuse.

I love how this entire video is roasting these products and RUclips just decides to push ads OF SOME OF THESE PRODUCTS on the video! I’ve watched this twice and have had about two ads for each watch, and every ad was for one of these ROTTED products. Wolf spiders are not aggressive. At least not towards humans. They could technically bite us, but they really don’t want to. They just wanna eat the bugs we don’t want around our houses.

so, Brad Mondo at one point did a thing where his viewers sent pictures and he would help recommend hair cut and color for them - I feel like you guys could have someone send in a picture (in daylight or something), any skin conditions/levels they know they have, and then their makeup go-tos or they send a list of what they have, and you somehow make that work. Otherwise, this broke girl loves you two but cannot risk going to Revlon and Covergirl only to send you here lol
Omgg! The girl with the wolf spider story....that is so far fetched! 🤦♀️ literally! I live in the woods!! Deep Tennessee woods. U wear a head lamp outside at night and u look out into the night, and all u see is eyes! 👀👀👀👀 everywhere! It was so unbelievable the first time i realized it with my boys and husband shortly after moving here. But its literally a blanket of spider eyes. 🕷 👀 no exaggeration! So all that to say this, i wear the lotion and body washes and sprays and all! And i do not attract them at all. They stay out there over there and i stay in here over here. None chase me, or try getting in my house or even get near me, but theyre everywhere out here in the woods! Not anywhere around me. Lol!

I knew when i saw the Natasha Denona "trichrome" it was gonna be a bust. I NEVER trust swatches that are obviously edited like theirs. Its not possible to see all the shifts at one angle without a mirror, so their product photos are edited. If there was actually a shift, theyd show it. Everyone knows to use a mirror to see duochrome/multichrome shifts, and if you don't, youre not making duochromes/multichromes😂

I kid you not, I was at Ulta the other day getting a liner and the lady next to me at the essence products was looking for a nice gloss or lip something or other and the worker goes "I've got just the thing. Its perfect for what you're looking for." And goes behind the register and comes back with that silver tube and I just knew... Thanks to this pod I could recognize it from miles. She said stuff about how it's the best and a huge seller, and the swatch on her hand barely showed up! Just made me think of you two, I had just rewatched your Allure episode so it was front of my mind.

I’m so glad you hate Black Honey as much as I do. Back when it came out originally, it was expensive for me, but I bought it. I have never been more underwhelmed by a beauty product. It was just a gloss. Then I lost it and I’m still mad that I didn’t even get to use it up as a gloss stick. Black Honey was my first, and still my biggest Beauty Dream Shattered.

I'd love to see y'alls take on Gaga, because while her make-up wasn't my focus, I was really into her fashion, especially at the beginning of her career. To me it was like she was wearing art pieces and as time has gone on and she's become more movie star, she's fallen more and more into basic beauty standard. She takes some risk, but not like she used to.
I'd love to see it too. I have to admit, I wasn't a fan at first (to be fair, I'm not a big fan of pop stars in general). She gained my respect when I found out that she writes her music & plays multiple instruments. Add on her incredible voice & vocal range, her acting ability & the makeup line (which I truly believe she's involved with & it's not just a cash grab) & I'm definitely a fan now. I'd love to learn more about her for sure.
