Pink eye is the most common way to say eye infection or a conjunctivitis. Pink eye can be from many causes and not all the times from an infection.

Having had 3 corneal ulcers! With 3 hospitalisations, getting hourly eye drops for 48hrs, is one of the most painful and exhausting experiences. I couldn’t even stand the curtains slightly open during the day, light was unbearable, the and I couldn’t even move my eye ball it was too sore, I felt dreadful! Shingles and dry eye where the cause. I can no longer wear contacts, or I am very weary, only for short periods. My vision is very poor and I now have double vision due to the acting. Please go and get seen by a professional before you ever get to this stage your vision is so important.

If you do have the pink eye ..get to a beach... place your whole face in the water..letting the salt water go into your eyes..do it a few times placing your face in the water or just swim making sure your head is in the water completely...salt water is the cure..this is what we do in the Caribbean

Make sure to clean your cars door handles and shifter turn signals ect my daughter had pink eye and we shared my vehicle and I got pink eye from her and the only thing that was not cleaned and the pink eye kept coming back until we cleaned the car ❤

Washing the eyes out with black or green tea also helps to reduce swelling. The tannic acid also fights off the bacteria.
Eyes been red after taking contacts. Still red. No pain tho. Just feels dry and red. Going to wait and see if the eye drops work and help

I was treated with antibiotics for pink eye. Did not wear my daily contacts or makeup for 2 weeks, it cleared up, then went back to my daily contact then it came back 4 days ago and during the day I'm fine, then at night my eyes leak clear discharge and are red. Should I go see an eye doctor? I'm completely free of any colds or allergies, so wondering if the contacts irriated them again.

Well I have an eye infection from my face skin infection. All into the pillow into my left eye where I sleep mostly. I have a my pillow. I can and will wash it all like every 3 days now not just change and wash pillow case every week
yesterday i got bacterial pink eye and had nonstop mucus drainage.. today they seem to just be tearing a bit. but are still red, putting cold compress and antibiotics in them. hope it helps..
You never addressed having just a red-eye..no contacts or itching or liquid or puss just red.. what's the remedy for that???
If the eyes are just chronically red and the artificial tears don't help, it's worth seeing an eye doctor to get to the root of the issue. It could be an inflammatory issue.
My pinkeye went away after a few days but 2 weeks after that, the left side of my face went numb and droopy as a result of Bell's Palsy, which I have good reason to believe is an after effect of the pink eye.
