He needs to be used more as relief pitcher and he should learn how to play First Base.

His Statcast numbers show his curveball numbers are comparable to Kershaw’s curveball numbers; his splitter numbers are coparable to Ohtani’s splitter numbers; his cutter numbers are comparable to Corbin Burns’ cutter numbers. I recommend checking out Pitching Ninja’s video as he goes into good detail in breaking down Yamamoto’s pitches.
