12:53 😂😂😂bro I bust out laughing when you screamed like that lol I’m at work listening to keyboard reviews and this is one of the best I’ve seen so far as the electro 6D goes. All the other videos get a little too nerdy which is helpful but sometimes we just wanna hear what these things sound like lol I personally don’t live anywhere close to a high end keyboard store that has Nords or any high end keyboards. So I love videos like these !
The way you "hacked" the split/layer function by adding the organ as a synth pad, I´ve got to admit - This made me 100% sure this is my next investment! I'm currently rolling with an RD-88 + a Nord Wave MK1 on top, but this 6D will replace them both, with lots of inspiration from this video! Thank you for sharing, man =D
Thank you! Wonderful video - exactly what I needed to help me decide on a 6D from FB Marketplace. You are very talented and I loved how with some of the patches you were really feeling it and singing along!! Cheers!!
Thanks man. I appreciate the comment. I love what I do. Let me know what other video you would like to see. I'd be more than happy to post it. God bless you bro!!!
@@MrRyancangriand you've just given me the final push I needed to pick up an Electro6D (probably 73 keys) after debating this in my head for years now! Sounds dope.
Thank you for this brother. I tried every keyboard in the shop and this 6d 61 is my favourite. I am getting one. I like the waterfall action and I was just fine playing piano on it., the ep’s are awesome. I am a 61 key dude and I just use the octave button as needed. God bless you and your family.
Exactly this was my doubt. I'm in Brazil and here The 73 Keys is sold out. But I'm seing now that a 61keys work very well with The Octave buttons. More inteligent, in truth
Great playing man! This is literally my dream, just to be able to freely jam on the piano in multiple styles! Btw if you dont mind me asking, how long did it took you to be at this level? Just wanna set ny expectations up
Thank you!!!! I've been playing for 30 years, but it only took me about 5 years to reach an intermediate level. Practice makes perfect, and every single person has a different level of learning. Cheers my friend!!!!
This is fantastic. Been wanting to pull the trigger on a Nord. Sounds incredible. Love your reactions! Only thing i cant decide is 61 or 73, although for me the 61 might be ideal for travel

Nice demo It's too bad your camera wasen't focused more on the Led Screen and upper part of the keyboard so that we could see what you were doing while you were instructing. Loved your playing, great talent.
Very nice playing/technic. Am curious about the key bed. Either you have large hands, or the keys seem very short? Almost short like a small synth. How do you like the keys? Thanks, Jim
Thanks!!! With any new keyboard, it does take getting used to. The keybed on this board feels very good. It is not flimsy, and it is a very good quality feeling board.
I’m thinking of getting this one in the next year or so, and also I would like to ask you, how can I learn chord progression for jazz like that? I have some classical training and improvised a bit but I need to learn more scales and chords like that, thanks….
Get it, you won't be disappointed. A great way to learn progressions for example let's take F#. The key is to use "passing chords" every single note that makes up the scale, can be a chord. Here's an example. 1 6 2 5 1. F# maj7, Ebm7, Abm7, C#13. Now adding passing chords would look more like this 1 7 6 -3 2 +5 5 +1 1. F#maj7, Fm11, Ebm7, AMaj9, Abm7, DMaj9, C#13, GMaj9, F#maj7. I can do a quick video of this progression, if you like.
Do you mainly play on stage or at home/in the studio? You ever miss not having a pitch/mod wheel or do you feel like you can make do pretty well. So close to buying this board but the lack of those wheels is making me lean a bit towards the Yamaha CP73.
I use it in church every Sunday. I don't need the pitch and mod wheels because I only use "keyboard" sounds such as organ, piano, and pads, which is what the Electro is designed for.
Thank you. I connected left and right from the Nord into my Focusrite audio interface. The interface connects to my MacBook Pro through USB, and I recorded in Ableton live. 😁
Hello Master, thank you very much for the review! I wanted to ask you: Are those korg M1 audios in the minutes ( 53:33 ) come already loaded, are they downloaded from the official page or were they loaded by yourself? Thank you very much from Argentina!
Great video! Do all the Nords have the same sort of feel on the keyboard? I really like more of a weighted keyboard. But I’m a bit concerned on the “semi-weighted.” The reason I ask is Guitar Center only has some of the upper tier Nords. And if I try that out, I was hoping it would tell me whether I liked the Electro 6. I’m currently using an M-Audio midi controller and actually like that feel. But anything lighter, I’m not that into and wanted to get something like this for playing live. Thanks again!
@@jaredmkofficial Thanks!!! The one I have is 61-keys. It feels great to me because I'm used to it, and the keybed is definitely high quality. Which Maudio controller do you have?
@@MrRyancangri M-Audio. I actually went to Guitar Center and tried it out. Pretty similar. I do like the HP Hammer Action keyboards but better, but not sure it’s worth $600 more.
I think if you connect a midi controller to it, you may be able to use the pitch bend and modulation controls to manipulate the sounds. I've just never tride it. There are many lead sounds in this board. Very seldom I may use the Tremolo effect on a lead sound if I need to. Other than that, I never have need for the pitch bend or modulation controls.
Hey bro, I just got mine but it feels like I’m not getting all my keys played. kind of feel like dead keys. If I hit a cord that got 10 notes I think I hear six.
The polyphony should not be running out. The Piano section has 120 notes, the Synth section has 34 notes, and the Organ section is pretty much unlimited.
How is it compared to a MODX? I have one and I want to buy this Nord. The Nord would be useful? (I want to have all the keyboards that exist today) but How about against MODX?
The MODX is an awesome keyboard all by itself. The Nord is a very different type of instrument. If I owned an MODX, I would use it on top of the Nord to run tracks off the sequencer, and the Nord would be primarily for Keys. That would be a sick setup.
Well, this year I'm going to take the nord electro 6, exactly this one in the video. And I'll have it together with the MODX, the Studiologic SL 88 Grand and the Tyros 4 and maybe I'll buy the Genos too
