  • For this exclusive take on “Midwest Sundway,” Adrian Legg plays his custom Bill Puplett guitar with a black-walnut neck, Ceylon ebony fingerboard, and a swamp-ash body. It has (much-used!) Keith tuning pegs along with a Graphtech piezo, an EMG preamp, magnetic pickup made by Steve Blucher and Eric Corpus at Dimarzio, and a JJB pickup in the body. He uses D’Addario strings that (as you’ll see) get a workout. Stay tuned for his pedalboard “tour.” Read our review of Adrian’s latest album, “Live” in the May issue of Vintage Guitar. First caught Adrian in a live performance (tiny college town bar venue) in New England in the early 90s. Immediately bought every CD he made and has made since. Same techniques as in this video...honed over decades now.

Who the hell thumbed down this video? What an utter joyless cretin that person must be.

because musically it's just not that interesting. he's concentrating so much on wanging the tuning knobs that the music is a bit frigid. you can see he obsesses over his set up - stockinged feet, little block of wood for the pedal, anally arranged pedal board, knows the dominant frequency in khz of his pedals. If that floats your boat so be it, but I was unmoved by the tuning peg wangfest. Semper deorsum.

Adrian is a true National Treasure.
Joe Satriani called him the best fingerstyle guitarist in the World
    No argument from me.

CLEARLY, the most under-appreciated guitar player in HISTORY! Beautiful genius!

Until another comment the same as yours appears on another guitar player vid claiming someone's underrated ,when their music only appeals to a certain musical clique. If he was well known, you can bet his musical freedom would be limited by record execs resulting in an easily digestible ,watered down version of what you see.Just enjoy his music, screw mainstream.

Tha ax has the look of an old Breadwinner, in my mind's eye the most beautiful guitar, and my most sought after.
