One of the best songs off SAD WINGS OF DESTINY 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 I hope they play “Heroes End” someday and then all of STAINED CLASS will have been performed live
Live Mix was Fantastic. Great to see The Priest back in Ct.! They were Fantastic. We Missed Glenn, but Andy did great job. Go and see them while you can. No Backing Tracks, just the best live band from the 70's Still Killing It. Wow. Halford sounded Great also. Heavy and Loud, Like it should be. What Pros.
@johnnyamaro6643 Who really GAF ? Seen them enough times to know how good they were/still are. Why can you not just enjoy it for what it is - like the OP says, one of *the* best live fkn metal albums ever ? Always one 🙄
That is one of the best live album ever. The shows he did at the very beginning with halford in 2000 and early 2001 are legendary in power which quickly faded as early as 2002.
Andy definitely deserves some praise. It is obvious he gained some confindence and enjoys his time on the stage much more than 3-4 yrs ago. Can't wait for another album tbh!
@@davidknichal6629 100%! never looked into his bands but he is very talented and his playing with the band is great. Can't wait for the record too! Given how good halford has sounded since 2018 i think we'll be in some for killer singing
Can't wait to see them in San Antonio next weeks. Hope they play all them deep cuts Joe Anthony used to play on his show... JP has always been one my favorites
I was there at tech port. Sadly this was not played. When Grinder stated I was thrilled thinking it was Genocide. My memory was better before I quit drinking 4 years ago.🥴✌️
When Rob did Genocide with his band HALFORD, from the live album Insurrection it was mind blowing . The song sounded more raw sounding and sounded much better. But they did a lot of studio magic mixing and tweaking to make the song sound like that on the album Still this is awesome were it should be . Would of loved to see Priest do this live .
@@thatsit7929 So im a troll because i happen to have an opinion that differs from yours? ive been a priest fan since the beginning - but i know what im hearing - and it aint halford, its the band hes got around him (not including hill) they are undisclipined and all over the place. The song is a train wreck, surely you can hear this?
Couldn’t see the teleprompter? It’s so obvious he’s straining to see it on his monitor. I can see these lyrics being hard to remember. But Braking the law ? Anyway getting olds a bitch!
I don’t know….something’s weird beyond age why is the monitor line so far back? Mix not good could be camera? Teleprompter…..which is used more and more…but if your stuck looking at lyrics…..again I don’t know….🙏🏼🙏🏼
Man, it sounds pretty good. but no band spark . Just stand around no interaction again. rob reading again. the crowd is boring as f#$##@#$. front row staring like its an opera. do you people know how to rock!!! so sad on all levels.. Priest is my fav all time band. but.... there done.
Scott Travis has been with the band since Painkiller. And does Ian Hill not count? You’re listening to a recording from someone’s smartphone 😂 Sure, Rob doesn’t sound quite as he did when he was 25, but who does?
@@MoSweiti666 He could've sung it with his normal voice, not the Hard-Trying-Painkiller-Voice. I think he sings it an octave down, when compared to this, on Sad Wings and Unleashed - it is how it is on the original recording also. Not sure what he was thinking here.
The vocal register for this song isn’t really in Rob’s wheelhouse anymore. That’s tough for him to pull off. And instrumentally, it was off. Needs some more rehearsal.
Man i love priest but i gotta be honest here - that was shockingly bad. The guitarists are all over the place and the drumming is like drum-by-numbers. What a train wreck
so glad they've changed the setlist back to some deep cuts and classics rather than all hits.!
great setlist.. killer to hear them doing this again!
i was there. i cant believe they played it. i never thought in a million years id see Judas Priest perform Genocide live in concert
One of the best songs off SAD WINGS OF DESTINY 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 I hope they play “Heroes End” someday and then all of STAINED CLASS will have been performed live
Wow mind blown, sounded awesome!!!! Island of Domination would be nice to hear too.
Running Wild!
I wish they would play the entire Sad Wings of Destiny album
My all time favourite intro ever since Unleashed, when that second guitar comes in. Don't see them do this very often, takes me back.
My favourite too. I always got goosebumps when the 2nd guitar kicked in on Unleashed lol
My favourite era of Priest. Awesome track!
The “Live Insurrection” album has a great version of this.
I was there. Was the biggest surprise that whole night. My top 10 favorite Priest songs
Saw screaming in the 80s,best show of all,and saw many in the 80s.
Priest ruled the 80s!!!
For the first time since 1980 in the setlist. great. With this song all things started for me.

Well, about the Backing Tracks…
Nah, never mind - as long as you had a good night haha; they are sounding great though. Crackin setlist
Amazing voice since 70's!!! Long live Judas Priest!!!!!
The greatest band on the planet Rock on Priest
Judas Priest kicks ass to the max!!!! 🙌🙏❤️
As someone who rocks out to Unleashed (the Perfect live album?) quite often, it blows my mind that this song has been out of rotation for 40 years.
Except for the vocals which were rerecorded.

Is the Classic of true Heavy Metal Song and Judas Priest sogs.
I don’t think they have played this since 1980 British Steel tour?
Many thanks for the video 🤟🤟
halford played it in 2001
I remember Halford performed this song on his own live album in 2000s and it was the best version, even better than Unleashed
I love that version off Live Insurrection. That’s a goddamn awesome live album.
Heart of a Lion and Light Comes out of Bkack were brutally nice too on Insurrection

Thanks for sharing. I was at this show too.
The real deal .!! Wow .! Thanks for sharing.
Nice The British Steel concert in Florida still the best.
Nice to hear this in the setlist, but it needs some polishing. The Halford band's version of this on Live Insurrection is phenomenal.
Absolutely incredible performance!!! Fucking awesome!!!!!!!!
This is one of the reasons that i dont go see gigs anymore... 😔
Look at the these people, so tired...
Sad but true... 😩
It's like, put the damn phone down, but they spend the whole time recording it.
lack of cash being the 2nd?
NICE

Coming to Colorado USA 11-10-22 🤘😎 I'll be front Row.
Que toque one shot at glory 🤘🏼
The Unleashed In The East version is fucking killer.
This voice for a 70 year old man... Wow
They didnt play it since 1981,point of Entry Tour I guess. Can only pe topped from Dreamer/Deciever
I'm figuring Halford phoning Ian Hill just out of bed to ask him if his name is actually Robert.
Ouch
Larga Vida a los Judas Priest!!!! No Surrender!!!!

Those quitar players from halfords band we're bad ass
You're right. It's my favorite version of the song.
Agree. My favourite version of it. Doesn't sound like its written in 1976.
It pains me to say this ,but maybe it’s time to retire. I’m huge fan since 79
Oh for fuck's sake! Lol
system of a down might like this. Singing about genocide and showing the symbol of the Turkish flag
duh maybe because its about actual history? i know kids like you don't learn history in school anymore dumbass
Viva Judas Priest cojones ya!!!!
They left out that famous guitar jam in the middle for just a wailing and screaming guitar noise?
Uncle Albert says 'during the war...' hahaha only joking
Warmed up leftovers for the kids.
It's like watching people in a museum.
Thats cos the fucking song is being MURDERED
Well Halford is 71 yrs old and he is not Bruce. I sm perfectly fine with that if he still sings well.

your right American crowds are lame, so busy playing with phones even in the bars,
Andy's tone is just horrible....and can barely even hear Richie's guitar or Halford's vocals. That's what phone recordings sound like...CRAP.
Shouldn't you be thankful for watching? No one forced you in here.
Thanks but time to retire….
What's the point of Andy? Even sick Glenn plays better.
Point of Andy (Point of Entry II)
Not Priest, guitars dont sound right, no true tone and dry. Just a tribute act with the original signer.
Scott Travis has been with the band since Painkiller. And does Ian Hill not count? You’re listening to a recording from someone’s smartphone 😂 Sure, Rob doesn’t sound quite as he did when he was 25, but who does?

Nope. I had to stop when the vocals started.

Of course he doesn't sound like he did in the 70s, but he sounds fantastic for his age
apart from forgetting some of the words he didnt sound bad to me - its the ropey guitar players hes working with (and the drumme) that are the problem
