But he believes in a different Jesus; a Jesus who was not always God, who is a lot like you and me, who did not speak matter into existence and who, sadly, cannot save. So my hope for him is to know the True and Living God, which (and again I'm sad to say this) is not taught in mormonism.....or at the very least is changed. I think Mormons knows some things about God and like the idea of God, but there comes a point where you either have to accept the Bible and who God says He is, and thus reject mormonism, or cling to the LDS organization and reject God, and I hope this young man does the former

They have some different ideas that they call continuing revelation, but they still believe in God and in Christ as their Savior. If we are all imperfect and will never be perfect in this life (the hearts of men are decietful and our works are as filthy rages), then it makes sense that one of those imperfections be incorrect theology. God will sanctify us in this life continuing into the life beyond. God saves those who believe, as simple as that. Mormons believe and are saved. That doesn't mean that there are multiple Jesuses that we can choose from. You are right that there is one True Jesus, but there are a lot of lies. So we either believe in Jesus, or we believe in a lie. So when you say you believe in Jesus, I would challenge you to ask yourself, do you really? Do you believe the God breathed bible that tells us Jesus is eternal, and you are not? Or are you actively rebelling against and rejecting God to put your faith in the arm of flesh? No, and the Calvinist response to this challenge would be: Yes we claim God foreknows and predestines the elect to salvation. But beyond personal revelation that we individually have salvation, we do not know who else is the elect. And Jesus' parting words were effectively to evangelize. It is true in the sense that it changes people to lead a more Christlike life, and living a Christlike live is not about "knowing everything about God", but rather is about "knowing God", and to "know God" does not come through works, faith, knowledge of doctrine and understanding of mysteries, gifts of the spirit... Jesus was right, we are to discern spiritual truth from deception by "the fruits", and all these things listed above, according to Paul, are not refering to the "good fruits", for Jesus also made clear that once we taste that "good fruit", once we "experience that good fruit", we can know the tree is good also, without any doubt. So, spiritual truth simply is not defined by works, faith, doctrinal correctness, working of miracles, and so forth.. these are nothing more than fruits that can come as a result of the "real good fruit", and that is nothing exclusive to Evangelism, Mormonism and not even to christianity.. I wish Evangelicals would listen to the Mormons. But they seem to be closed minded. Why do Evangelicals not see the problems in their own way of thinking. For example the Bible talks about needing to be born by water and the spirit. They dont think one needs to be baptized (due to their interpretation of scripture). But that is not necessarily true. And what about Baptisms for the dead. It sounds like people were doing them in new testsmemt, and it did not seem to be frowned upon. So how is that not a thing now? Evangelicals say Mormons are awful because Mormons think it makes sense that God wants his children to become like him (as parents do). But can Mormons not think Evangelicals are awful because they damn most of the world to Hell for not having "saving faith" when they do not know these people individually. They have made up a definition of saving faith that excludes most of Gods creation. They are judgemental. It can also be noted that Evangelicals focus so much on others being wrong, that it is hard to know if they are actually worshiping God. YOU ARE TEACHING YOUR CHILD TO HATE. You are teaching your child that her way of thinking is better than anothers way of thinking to the point that she deserves Gods eternal love while most people deserve eternal torture. When you say eternal bliss and eternal punishment I’m assuming you're referring to our view of Salvation. As far as that goes, yes the Bible says in Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” So yes believers in Jesus have no fear of the coming judgment because the Bible teaches in Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” As far as eternal punishment goes yes the Bible teaches that too Isaiah 66:24 “And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me:For their worm shall not die,Neither shall their fire be quenched;And they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.” It also says in Revelation 20:14-15 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. If you are right in your theology and Mormons go to Hell for getting some of their theology wrong, then they will be with the majority of Gods human creation in Hell. Mormons have read the teachings of Jesus. They know that everything is nothing without charity and so they will love those in Hell with them - which is the majority of mankind. Because Jesus has taught them to do that through his example. But if Evangelicals are right in their thoughts about Hell, and the Mormons, Jews (including those of the Holocaust), Muslims, Athiesrs, Hindus, Catholics, etc, are being tortured by fire and brimestone for eternity, how are you not ABSOLUTELY miserable? No, and the Calvinist response to this challenge would be: Yes we claim God foreknows and predestines the elect to salvation. But beyond personal revelation that we individually have salvation, we do not know who else is the elect. And Jesus' parting words were effectively to evangelize. We don't know who or how God predestines the elect, but we do know that we are called to participate

Jesus said if a prophet is hated and attacked , this testifies that he speaks the truth and is a true prophet. Christ even said, "we should, "leap for joy, " because the very attacks on truth confirms its very truthfulness.
So, please, please, please continue to make more and more videos about our faith because the more you hate and attack, the more it testifies the truth. I would be very worried if there was never opposition to the prophet Joseph Smith, but that is not the case. There are multiple multiple youtube channels ( mormon Stories, utah apologia, mormon Discussion, apologia, etc.)dedicated and organized for the very purpose of destroying Joseph smith and the LDS church.

It is true in the sense that it changes people to lead a more Christlike life, and living a Christlike live is not about "knowing everything about God", but rather is about "knowing God", and to "know God" does not come through works, faith, knowledge of doctrine and understanding of mysteries, gifts of the spirit...
Jesus was right, we are to discern spiritual truth from deception by "the fruits", and all these things listed above, according to Paul, are not refering to the "good fruits", for Jesus also made clear that once we taste that "good fruit", once we "experience that good fruit", we can know the tree is good also, without any doubt.

So, I think that one of the main differences between evangelicals and Mormons is, that evangelicals believe that only “works that follow faith can please God”, while Mormons believe that “works that precede and follow faith” can please God, as long as they are rooted in charity. And this is also the key message of the gospel, and so that is something we all need.

I wish Evangelicals would listen to the Mormons. But they seem to be closed minded. Why do Evangelicals not see the problems in their own way of thinking. For example the Bible talks about needing to be born by water and the spirit. They dont think one needs to be baptized (due to their interpretation of scripture).
But that is not necessarily true.
And what about Baptisms for the dead. It sounds like people were doing them in new testsmemt, and it did not seem to be frowned upon. So how is that not a thing now?
Evangelicals say Mormons are awful because Mormons think it makes sense that God wants his children to become like him (as parents do).
But can Mormons not think Evangelicals are awful because they damn most of the world to Hell for not having "saving faith" when they do not know these people individually. They have made up a definition of saving faith that excludes most of Gods creation. They are judgemental. It can also be noted that Evangelicals focus so much on others being wrong, that it is hard to know if they are actually worshiping God. YOU ARE TEACHING YOUR CHILD TO HATE. You are teaching your child that her way of thinking is better than anothers way of thinking to the point that she deserves Gods eternal love while most people deserve eternal torture. PLease think about that for a moment!

Acts 4:12 says “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

2nd thing please correct me if I’m wrong because I don’t want to misrepresent what you're saying. When you say eternal bliss and eternal punishment I’m assuming you're referring to our view of Salvation.
As far as that goes, yes the Bible says in Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” So yes believers in Jesus have no fear of the coming judgment because the Bible teaches in Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
As far as eternal punishment goes yes the Bible teaches that too Isaiah 66:24 “And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me:For their worm shall not die,Neither shall their fire be quenched;And they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”
It also says in Revelation 20:14-15 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
3rd point you no there is no “degrees of light” the Bible speaks of two options it says in Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

5th thing you are somebody you're a human born as an image bearer of god. Whom God loved so much that he sent his only son to die on the cross for the sins of the world. ie yours and mine.
6th point I don't know where you got the idea that in order to fully reject God you have to fully know him. I don’t see that anywhere in scripture. I would refer to Romans 3:10-18

This passage is clear about humanity’s position before God. In addition it says in Romans 3:23 “23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
No one knows God no seeks after him the whole chapter in Roman’s is the Apostle Paul condemnation of where Humans are relative to God.

My friend we don’t share the biblical gospel out of anger or hate for LDS or any group for that matter. Rather we share in Gods love for all people it says in 2 Peter 3:9

So let me just say two things.
If you are right in your theology and Mormons go to Hell for getting some of their theology wrong, then they will be with the majority of Gods human creation in Hell. Mormons have read the teachings of Jesus. They know that everything is nothing without charity and so they will love those in Hell with them - which is the majority of mankind. Because Jesus has taught them to do that through his example.
But if Evangelicals are right in their thoughts about Hell, and the Mormons, Jews (including those of the Holocaust), Muslims, Athiesrs, Hindus, Catholics, etc, are being tortured by fire and brimestone for eternity,
how are you not ABSOLUTELY miserable? How do you not cry yourself to sleep every night and beg people insanely every waking hour of the day to believe like you? When I try to believe like you, I find No peace.
