If these guys brought this stuff up to a seasoned LDS member, they would leave dumbfounded at their own teachings. They try to approach things from an eternal perspective that no one knows of a certainty but can't understand the Doctrine of Christ. They have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof.

Jesus himself said "blessed are tho thomas for believing (as thou seest me) but blessed are those that haven't seen and believed. Thus there are "various" layers and faiths. It's not about feelings, it's about understanding doctrine. What does Jesus want from us and for us? Do you believe you need to be baptized to be saved? That is a doctrinal issue, not a feeling thing. What is our relationship with our Heavenly Father? What is his relationship with Jesus Christ? Why did Jesus claim that there is one greater than himself? The guys in this video are predators that prey on the young and unlearned. If they actually talked to seasoned members, they would get shot down so fast their heads would spin.

    • @travisclouse3614
      @travisclouse3614 4 месяца назад

In my humble opinion, if you put the doctrinal issues aside, the whole thing hinges on the validity of Joseph Smith and subsequent "prophets" being true prophets. The Bible says if someone turns out to be a false prophet, don't believe their words. If these prophets say things that contradict, the rest crumbles. And there are too many of those to list. Most LDS will dispute that and refuse to believe it, even when you show them, and start doing mental gymnastics to try to explain it away, so it's usually a futile effort, but it is what it is. From the start, Joseph Smith's own words don't even agree with each other. He said NO MAN can see God without first having the priesthood. NO MAN. NO MAN. NO MAN. That's pretty self-explanatory. Yet, he claims to have had the first vision of God and Christ before he even received the priesthood. And that's just one example! Like I said, most LDS will try to explain it away, but it's pretty clear.

It's real tough to break through ideology, I have thought an insane amount how to get through subjectivity to an objective structure of truth, it sounds reasonable, the problem is we are not often rational and we learn as Mormons to put more stock on our feelings than what the scriptures say so pointing at the bible as a mic drop doesn't land like it would to a bible believer
I hope you guys have a lot of success, Utah needs a church that can catch Mormons as they leave and love them as they go down the rabbit trails, I felt so isolated and kinda crazy reading the Bible and book of Mormon in light of their historys, I can see why the Mormon church would discourage that, my worldview collapsed.

@@nute742Hmmm... Well, there's over 100 different sects of mormonism, so it doesn't seem like continuing revelation solved the problem. We Christians definitely believe in continued revelation! I've had prophetic words given to me by men of God many times throughout my walk with God. The issue isn't whether there's continued revelation. The issue is, any continued revelation MUST be in agreement with what God has already spoken since God doesn't change His nature, His standard of what is righteous and holy, and His word will never pass away. You can't look at Christians and say, "They don't believe in continued revelation." That would be a misrepresentation of what we believe. We just don't believe in continued revelation that contradicts or conflicts with what God has already spoken!

@@ChristisLord2023 Thanks for your reply and those are good points / questions. The "One God" thing is brought up in many religions (Amongst the Jews) and even in the Christian Theology that believes in the Trinity (3 beings .. making up "one god") etc. The wording and meaning can sometimes be tricky, because in the bible God (the father) and Jesus the son are mentioned "several times" as being separate. God (the "one god") Is our Father and his son and our savior /redeemer (Jesus Christ) his also a god in his own merits (the holy Ghost is also god) True they are "all gods" but referring to the "One God" that depending on the context it may mean God (the father). With that said our Lord (Jesus Christ) mentions there are "no other gods before him (meaning he is our only savior and advocate with the father). So the argument of "monotheism vs polytheism" can be "tricky" too (because obviously there are different actors at play (and each is a "god" in the sense) The word god (as in hebrew, greek) can mean both a "designation or role" as well as actual name! (so again I understand why people can get mixed up ). The god of the old testament that visited the israelites some say it to be Jesus! However Jesus many times testified of his Father! Okay hope that answers a few questions. If you like I can send over a few bible quotes (about the separation of these 2 beings) if that helps too! Okay take care and God bless :)

It’s always interesting to me that LDS people even bother to call The Bible, The Word of God. How can God’s word be corrupted? If something has been corrupted then it’s not from God and no longer is The actual Word of God. Why then do they even pretend to follow something if it’s so corrupted?
So that they can just twist it into something it’s not, in order to validate all the points that suit them?

It's not about feelings, it's about reason.
These guys attack the ladies over the LDS gospel changing as with blacks and the priesthood, but what about in the Bible how at one time the gospel was only for the Jews, but then became for the Gentiles also.
The one gentleman refers to Genesis 3 and the serpent deceiving Eve and telling her that they could know good from evil and that that was a lie. But in verse 22 we read this: And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever. First off, who is God talking to? Who else was like him that he was talking to and said "the man is become as one of us..." Why are the accounts in Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 5:3 virtually the same verbiage? Can we see a correlation there?
I could go on about the several things I have heard these guys teach in other videos that contradict the Doctrine of Christ, but I will leave that open to anyone who would like to converse on that.

The serpent told then they would be like gods knowing good and evil, he lied to them and told them they would not die.
The mormon church tells them the same thing they will be like God, they will be gods!
The Muslims says God did not tell them they would die, same as the serpent.
We believe the Holy Bible and no other book or gospel. Over 5,000 manuscripts that agree with each other 99.98% of the time. NT. Adam and Eve died spiritually and several hundred years later they died physically. All people after that die, we must be born again so we can be born again spiritually so when this body of flesh dies we will go to be with the Lord.
The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternally life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6.23

    Daniel 9:24
“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place."
Danial prophesied that in 490 years to bring an end to prophecy. so, there are no modern day prophets because when Christ brought in the new covenant (everlasting righteousness) vision and prophecy were sealed up or put to an end.
therefore ANY man who claims to be a prophet after the holy city was was destroyed, is a liar. the holy city was destroyed in AD 70.

"Can the LDS trust their feelings" what a ridiculous question! These modern Pharisees should read "Luke 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?" These men felt something in hearts before they knew it was Jesus who walked with them. "Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God." I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO WATCH THEIR VIDEO THEY'RE DELUSIONAL "2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." ENOUGH SAID.

    easily rebuking apologia utah.
apologia utah does not understand basic christian doctrine. here's the big problem for you, and all so-called christian churches, that you refuse to acknowledge ... jesus founded his church on prophets and apostles. the scriptures clearly tell us that, many times. and there is only one church today that has prophets and apostles. the restored church of jesus christ. "the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints" which you refer to as mormons. not any of yours. consider yourself schooled. the church of god in the time of the prophets, was built on the foundation of the prophets, i. e. upon those doctrines and doctrinal truths deliver'd by them. the church of god under the new testament, is built not only on the foundation of the prophets, but of the apostles, Rev. 21:14. this is precisely what paul affirms in ephesians 2:20 where he says that the church is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, christ jesus himself being the cornerstone” (cf. rev. 21:14; also 1cor. 3:10-11 in context). the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is the ONLY church today built on a foundation of apostles and prophets. apologia utah is teaching a false gospel (just like all protestants). for that matter, catholics as well.
