I typically paint it after so I have not tried adding colour directly to the resin. Sometimes I "paint" mica powders into the mould before pouring though, which looks really awesome. ninnysnapkins.com/products/redesign-with-prima-decor-mica-powder-metallic-set-of-6?_pos=1&_sid=40e0dfedb&_ss=r

Does this casting resin have a smell to it?
no it does not but they do recommend you wear a mask and use it in a well ventilated area.
how do you know which moulds will work with this resin? Just wondering since the cure time is so fast
as far as I know all moulds will work with resin. Defintiley silicone moulds. There may be moulds I don't know of though
Have you tried adding color to the resin?

Does temperature matter?
I don't think it has much effect, maybe really extreme temperatures but since it heats as it cures I don't see it being a problem.
