- Here I explain the main causes of the iphone green line that shows on your iPhone screen. This occurs on all models however as a repairer I have noticed it occurs with the iPhone X / XR / XS / XS Max / iPhone 11 / 11 pro / iPhone 12 / 12 mini / 12 pro
Please understand there are many causes for this and please don't automatically assume until it has thoroughly been checked out

My iPhone 11 pro max got wet for just few seconds and suddenly cam has fog, try drying it using hair dryer after few hours and i charge it the green lines appear on my screen. Help how to fix this 😭
Pretty sure it was because I dropped my phone lol- weirdly enough my phone didn’t crack but it happened right after I dropped it so I know that was the cause 😂
Did you have it fixed? I just dropped my phone today and cracked the screen protector when these lines appeared. Not sure what to do but thinking of having it checked by Apple.

@@Theaudaciti I was lucky enough that my phone was still under warranty. I went to Apple and they fixed it at no cost. It was supposedly going to cost ~$850 AUD as my screen and true depth sensor camera was broken

The bottom of the oled is extremely sensitive. If the oled became a hit on the bottom than a line will come in the oled. But not often.

yesterday i dropped my iphone X and saw that kind of green line on my screen. I tried everything to fix it but nothing works. I was wondering which iphone would be the best for me to upgrade to. I dont have that much money but i'd still love to know if it makes sense to get the newest iphone or if theres better options. (I have large hands so i'd perfer not to get a small one)
My parents got my bother phone fix and he got a new one so they gave it to me and I realize that the top right corner was like not together to the phone and I did not told them which is dumb and it just hit the floor a little and it got the green line but the phone works a little so I think I’m be okay and I have a other phone so I think I will be fine until I save up enough money to buy a new phone or fix it

I dropped my xs max in water and eventually managed to make it work again using rice for aprox 3 days but now it s slower than before and that’s not all,also got some pink & green lines on the screen and once i turn it on it s turning off almost immediately,any solution or recommendations?

Iam currently work on refurbished screen. Green line / white or sometimes pink / blue is caused by flexibel cable bonding. It may caused by pressed and you not aware, or drops or sometimes phone temperature can cause bonding conductive layer is gone. The lcd is actualy fine, but if the lcd is realy damage or broke it will give u black spot, its mean lcds is physical damage permanently and cannot be repair. phone X later and other flexibel OLED Lcd subtrate like samsung edge, huawei etc, is made on plastic subtrate. so it will hard to break if u drop it, because its flexible lcd subtrate. Even u can bend all side off lcds. Green line, white line. Or any line can be fix by rebonding the flex.

@@abdullahabdurrahman2306 Rebonding the flex is caused only by completing an entire factory reset of the phone which will restore all factory settings to default and start the flex over again fresh; removing those green and white lines from your screeen for good!

I have the 13 Pro and it’s only 3 months old. I just started getting the green line on the right side. I’ll talk to apple tomorrow and see if I can get it repaired/replaced. I might see if I can upgrade to a 14 pro.
What did they say? Were you able to repair it?
They sent me a box to ship it back to them. That was only a couple of days ago and I haven’t heard back.

Yes they replaced the screen and returned the phone. I had AppleCare so it was free. Excellent customer support.

I had an xs max the screen had green lines until it didn't turned on 5 months ago I got a71 galaxy today I got a brand new xs max for my birthday gift I am scared when I remember the lines on my old phone BTW the screen of my old phone was also changed
Apparently there is a bug that makes it come up and apparently it happens to all of the iphone x phones
How to fix
i dont know what to look for on the cracked part. the back of the phone is shattered, the front is shattered, and by the top speaker im missing a chunk of the screen that exposes some of the inside.

Hi and yeah this is also common where at certain times it appears and then goes away. In most cases it’s due to the screen starting to fail which means time to replace the screen soon

Thanks for this video, my line is on the furthest left portion of the screen and seems to be just a 1 pixel line up and down. Going to disassemble it and see if I can reseat the cables.

This is actually fixable, flex cable need to be replaced.

It’s a good guess to suggest that I think you may need to replace your phone screen. Get a technician or apple to check it out

Hi Brian - in most situations when I see this is means your lcd screen underneath the glass needs replacing. The glass and lcd are ‘glued’ together and it gets replaced as a whole assembly

This is a question I get a lot and they vary from city to city let alone country to country so it’s impossible for me to answer

I have the exact same line as your phone in the video in the exact same position, I had the screen replaced 4 months ago by a 3rd party repairer but the screen wasn’t refurbished it was new and I also don’t have any chips on the screen
Looks like it’s lcd damage under the glass. Possibly even faulty the screen but unsure to say without seeing if

i actually have the green line on the most bottom part of the screen and it was well hidden because it was horizontal and not vertical, idk if it was caused by damage or is a glitch but I am gonna ask you if it will get worse over time?

I got it ages ago and after a couple months the whole bottom screen stopped working had too get new one
It does get worse, at first for me it was a very light vertical green line to the right of my screen that was so meager I learned to ignore it, given a year or two and it’s unbearably bright, from barely noticeable dark green to an extremely bright neon green

The update would not have caused this. It’s definitely a hardware related issue

I fit isn't a permanent line and doesn't get fixed by restarting ur phone then it might be an issue with the connectors that aren't perfectly lined up. (not an expert on this in the slightest so it would be best to get it checked out by a technician).

I just pulled my screen down, hit the camera button, and the line is gone 😂 took me 2 seconds literally!
