I remember getting chills when I saw this trailer. The mix of perfect editing and the Johnny Cash soundtrack... Man, that's how you make a trailer.
Then watching the movie at the cinema, and bawling at the end. Still one of the best "superhero movies".

I am so happy that I watched this movie exactly on its 5 year anniversary and I can say this aged like fine wine.
I cant bring myself to watch it more than once.
This movie is just an absolute masterpiece of filmmaking. It deserves every dollar it made, every positive review, every god damned bit of praise. And more. It is one of the only films to ever make me cry multiple times in the theater. And I struggle and often fail to not cry whenever I watch it at home. It does such a good job of taking this hero, this icon, who has never felt so thoroughly defeated before, and completely ruining him. But not just for the hell of it. This feels almost exactly what you'd always expected for Logans fate to be. Even if you didn't want to admit it. But there's still that underlying bit of hope. The idea that Logan can finally, truly make up for every bad thing he's ever done and that he can be freed of every bad thing that has ever happened to him. But only if he's willing to finally love others and be loved in return. God I love this film.
I am still pissed that film didn't get oscar and hugh Jackman.

I saw it today. It's unbelievably good, not your typical superhero movie, not really one at all. It's about family, friendship, and hope. It's an unreal film. The Wolverine we've always been waiting for. The one we deserved.

It's quite a blessing in disguise that FOX did have the rights to these characters first. I don't think MCU would have made anything remotely close to something that's as emotionally resonant as Logan.

Pietro D'Angelo It has nothing to do with that. They can't do the original Old ?an Logan-story, so they are borrowing elements from that, and X-23's Origin-story, while they are mashing them together with some new elements.

I thought the movie was just OK but I still think about this trailer. It is still one of the best examples of powerful short-form storytelling for movie trailers. The way the emotions rapidly escalate starting at 1:00 is peak editing. Every clip in tune to the music shows the emotional bond between these two characters that you don't know yet (or maybe do) and sells the idea that you want them to be safe and happy, but clearly they are in real danger of losing everything.

I feel so... empty after watching this film. Watching "Logan" is one of the greatest experiences I had in my life.

It's because it's so real.
Logan was truly one of the best movie going experiences I have ever had. The moment when fake Logan stabbed Professor X in the chest, I literally froze for a good 5 minutes. The emotions of everyone in the cinema could be felt. There was a unanimous gasp, mixed with more than a few screams.
I was clenching my fists at the end, trying so hard not to cry. Cannot remember the last time a movie had that effect on me. To me this is much MUCH better than the dark knight.

take a look at The Last of Us, very very similar to this... it'll fill the void temporarily but leave you even more depressed
You'll probably need some therapy if you jump straight into last of us after watching this movie.
A movie like this will be good because like Dark Knight, it doesn't feel like a superhero movie. Dark Knight felt like a crime thriller. Even Winter Soldier did the same , it felt like a Jason Bourne-type movie

I was crying the moment Logan said that.
That last scene where she puts cross like X 😭😭😭
I was holding it together until that scene.
That scene is crushing.
And that's how you give a beloved character a sendoff. Not like Disney's mishandling of Star Wars. In fact...Logan gave closure and a proper farewell to two beloved characters in the same film.
