reggie Smith he did, but he didn't die. And it's not a theory. There's an interview where James Mangold said they wrote the scene to end that way so that the prophecy could still come true. Do your homework next time...
Alan Griffith that's true, in The Wolverine he did hold his heart in his hand BUT he didn't die. James Mangold said in an interview that they wrote the scene in Logan that way so that Yukio's vision/prophesy could still come true and Logan could die holding his heart!
There were... extenuating circumstances. Exceptions need to be made when necessary... and there was no way in hell they could do that movie without pissing all around Logan's grave, they knew it, we knew it, the universe knew it... but it did gave us a kickass opening scene, so... half-win?
I'll be honest, when I watched this movie in theaters I didn't laugh a single time. It was a sad movie full of constant depression, it was just, sad. After me and my friends watched it we went for dinner, hung out for a bit and we went home. Then I poured myself a few drinks and just stared off into space thinking about my life. One of the best movies I've ever seen. 11/10
I watched this movie for the first time with my mom. She was a pretty big comic book fan growing up but never really got into the X-men. But she absolutely loved it. She said it was her favorite super hero movie. We watched about 12 others during the month she was visiting to try to get caught up for End Game. But she absolutely loved both X-23 and Logan. She thought it was fun to watch the little girl kick so much ass. She also felt bad for Logan but said she understood exactly what he was going through between being so tired after fighting so long and loving your kid so much you push through even if you hate yourself for doing it sometimes. I don't have a larger point or anything. I just didn't know my mom was a comic book nerd until a few months ago and this movie was a big part in learning about that. So the movie holds a special place for me since we bonded during a tough time in my life even though we weren't very close when I was growing up.
This movie had the one thing most franchises never get to have: an honorable ending. While the Fox mutant movies may continue, it was a satisfying end to two beloved characters, and I love it.
The X-Men films with two exceptions, have always been good films. As a series continuity is all over the place but each film can generally stand on it's own, again with two exceptions.
personM4N also in the wolverine, Logan cuts his heart out of his chest to get a power draining parasite off his heart and died for a couple of seconds whilst doing so... Logan was written after this movie wrapped up...
Yea but he wasn't holding his heart in his own hand in that scene in The Wolverine. Also, Yukio said "there's blood everywhere" and there barely was in that scene. In Logan tho where he actually dies...... Blood everywhere. Mangold is a smart director. I'm not saying he's planned Logan's death before the movie was even written, but they did purposefully end up doing it in a certain way that would align with Yukio's vision.
AndroidPolitician I know right I mean honestly it was the worst out of all the nominees and even some movies that did not get nominated that year were better
AndroidPolitician most people agree that Crash (2004) & Shakespeare In Love (1998) are the two worst and mediocre Best Picture winners because they beat out Brokeback Mountain & Saving Private Ryan which should have both won hands down!
Well at least Logan died holding his daugther's hand while joel got beaten to death by a jacked women with a golf club and Ellie forced to watch him 😩😭😭
They dealt with William Striker and The Cerebro Plan. Didn't learn They dealt with the Michael Worthington and Anti-X-gene formula: Didn't learn They dealt with Bolivar Trask and the Sentinel Program: Didn't Learn They didn't deal with Dr. Rice: And learned too late.
A huge "thank you" to Hugh Jackman for portraying Wolverine so wonderfully all these years. Whomever picks the mantle in the future will have a hard time surpassing him.
Theresa Mahfood Yeah. They nominate Daniel Day Lewis, who let's be honest, it just protraying himself, and his movie, who let's be honest again, isn't even the best PTA work but Logan only gets nominated for screenplay? Black Panther better get nominated next year.
Gemnist nah, Deadpool may be a snarky arsehole most of the time, but even he knows not to bag out one of the best superhero movies ever made. Maybe because he'd have to deal with Laura going berserk on him if he did...
yup, that's probably why he didn't but I also thought that he was going for the: nooooo!!!! He was goint to be in my next movie!!! now what I'm supossed to do? Hire the kid? Even I have some dignity.... mental note: hire the kid.
Atraxus Wraithe Yes, but he's been wanting oh so desperately to be in a movie with Logan for all this time! And now Jackman's quitting on him! And Jerry Seinfeld is the reason too?! He's gotta be shooting f-bombs at Bee Movie left and right!
David yeah really is a different world. I mean you was lucky to have this kind of guest star on TV not so long ago. now internet satire reviews get the. (damn I'm old) lol
The premonition is from The Wolverine, in which he had to literally rip a parasite from his heart and almost died in the process. People are interpreting the vision wrong ._. Just saying
"Hey it's just an Xmen movie. It's gonna be fun." (2 hours 21 minutes later) (walks out of the theater hoping to get run over by a bus to end suffering)
Garrett Adams To be fair, I try to avoid trailers when I can. Not that I don't like to get hyped for a movie, but sometimes (especially for horror films) they give away too many spoilers. Ex: Seeing scene B with Actress 1 in the trailer tells me Actress 1 won't die in scene A.
4:07 For the people who follow Ryan and Hugh, be glad to be alive to witness this moment! He said it without a hint of sarcasm! Thank you Honest Trailers! 🙏

James Mangold explained that the R rating allowed scenes to run longer (since movies aimed at families have to keep up the flashy colors and explosions to hold kids short attention spans)
Deadpool: "It's not my fault youtube keeps unsubscribing people without telling them." Me: *Sees red subscribe button.* Me: WTF HE'S RIGHT!? *resubs* -.-
No offense, but I really didn't like it. I'm genuinely curious how you guys thought that it was a good movie. The CGI was good but the plot itself was dragged along sooo much. The movie was too long for whatever it was and the plot was unoriginal. What do you guys think?
Don't get me wrong...the part with Ryan Reynolds was funny...but actually just calling him to get Jackmans number for this Honest Trailer might have been even funnier.
And fast forward to now we find out Hugh Jackman didn't even get nominated for an OSCAR in his final performance as Wolverine 😒I mean the other ones are obviously well deserved but come on this is LOGAN! 😭
Well, "Supergirl" with Christina Slater was the first superhero film led by a woman, but nobody even remembers it anymore. It helps that it sucked and that it was the beginning of the belief that women (And superheroines by extension) couldn't make good action movies, though.
Helen Slater, and... the incorporation of the witch was the problem, not that she was a superhero. As for Christian, they did play in a movie together, and he was convinced of being destined to marry Helen.
@Preson Garvey Not true. He's done with the Wolverine franchise, but is totally up for a Marvel Cinematics crossover! www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/hugh-jackman-logan-wolverine-3-x-men-the-avengers-marvel-interview-a7598996.html
I don't know how you guys managed to make this honest trailer hilarious... cause this movie is freaking awesome. Also great job putting Deadpool in the voice over!!
Tissan Young That's actually a REALLY good casting choice! The REAL question is "Who'd play Ellie?" My vote's for Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven from Stranger Things.)
I love that Ryan Reynolds is actually cool enough in real life to do things like this. There's still hope for Hollywood.
SandBox H3ro a lot of b list actors are like that. it's the a listers that are crazy pricks.
SandBox H3ro Thanks to him and this film there is hope for more R rated comic book movies.
SandBox Hell yeah
Ryan is so fucking awesome!
I'm not gay, but I'd...wait...what...I mean tits and beer.
I like how Deadpool says he is not going to make fun of Logan and the first thing he does in deadpool 2 is make fun of Logan
Goddammit Wade.
Whose timeline is messed up now, Deadpool?
This needs to go in the Honest Trailer for Honest Trailers
Ryan Reynolds helped write the screenplay. Where do u think he got the idea from?
“If you’re good at something, never do it for free.”
"See... cause Laura's holding his hand, and she's his heart, you know?! 😭"
The "Holding your own Heart in your Hand" prediction made by Yukio in "The Wolverine" movie actually came true toward the end of "The Wolverine"
Except he, you know, didn't die. Despite her power being to see when people die (not the future in general, specifically when they die).
Vulcan Horse he literally held his heart in his hand at the end of the wolverine. stop taking Internet fan theories seriously
reggie Smith he did, but he didn't die.
Deadpool & Wolverine: "You'll be doing this till you're 90" Yup
yes, yes he will

Wow, you suck at movies if Logan is even in your top 100.
Harkness78 I agree with him it's my favourite movie of all time it's just an opinion thing
Who cares about your 100?
Her top movie might be 50 shades of grey
Professor X made me laugh a lot.
"this movie is hard to make fun of" now you're really being honest. :D
Although it IS Last of Us X-Men edition...lol
Prkwon it's based on a comic
thid video series was named "honest trailer" for reasons

Aww. This comment is awesome. I’m happy for you guys.
Wholesome 100
I can't believe you all got Ryan Reynolds back for this! I love this! 😂
he's even awesome on the phone, and thats saying something
He's even awesome when he phones it in.
It wasn't Ryan Reynolds it was Deadpool
Screen Junkies do all of the marvel netflix shows.
OMG ROFLMAO
This movie had the one thing most franchises never get to have: an honorable ending. While the Fox mutant movies may continue, it was a satisfying end to two beloved characters, and I love it.
Logan's death was satisfying, but the prof went out like a bitch.
Their Graham Norton episode together will have to do.
D. Kumar Mahajan In '73 the VC put 10 blades in me just for kicks, I survived that. Professor X should too.
The X-Men films with two exceptions, have always been good films. As a series continuity is all over the place but each film can generally stand on it's own, again with two exceptions.
J Grandmaster I think Logan really ends the original series and Deadpool started the new movie series.
The fulfilling the prophecy part literally made me cry. 😭😭
Never thought I would cry during an HT, but the cut making it look like Yukio could see Logan holding Laura got me :'-(
Every. Single. Time.

Yes, we know. Mangold has also confirmed they deliberately wrote Logan's death in this film in a way that Prophecy Twist's Yukio's premonition.
*brushes the part where yumiko also says "it's in this surgery room in japan" under the rug*
personM4N me too
"If Jackman doesn't get an Oscar nom, I'm setting every VHS copy of 'Crash' on fire."
Ryan Reynolds is the best. #OldManDeadpool
i don't get it. did someone won an oscar for crash?
no but crash the movie did, beating out Brokeback Mountain which was supposed to win
That was the main competition, but I wish it was Good Night & Good Luck vs. Munich instead.
AndroidPolitician I know right I mean honestly it was the worst out of all the nominees and even some movies that did not get nominated that year were better

Im so glad they said "The last of us"
Because to be honest Logan and Joel and very alike, and probably be great friends.
They'd probably kill each; survivor of the fittest.
Well at least Logan died holding his daugther's hand while joel got beaten to death by a jacked women with a golf club and Ellie forced to watch him 😩😭😭
@@samyjackson1857 at least Logan didn't destroy humanity's last chance of survival.
@@rishabhgoswami7845 i am pretty sur Logan would have decapitated evry single person in that hospital for even thinking of harming his baby girl !!!!
@@rishabhgoswami7845 TLOU 2 sucked
going full deadpool instead of trying to make jokes about logan was a total win lol
Maximum Effort.
Screen Junkies HA got it
neat
I love Deadpool. He's so frustrating! :)

Laura needs to pop up in another movie. She was awesome!
Couch Tomato yeah, totally!
in fact, the new mutants movie is going to be about the new team of mutants and she's their leader.
Couch Tomato When they do another X Men movie like the first one, they should wait in 9 years for Dafne Kafeen to grow up
Dafne Keen ❤
+Haitam chouiekh Actually no. The real team leader of the new mutants were cannonball and Dani.

They still got nominated for an Oscar
The thing no one owns VHS anymore.....
He's Deadpool Fans and Anonymous people Forced Fox to do his Movie right I think he could get VHS

You know Logan is a masterpiece if Deadpool says so

Always wanted to see a film with Logan during the civil war, WW2 and nam etc.
Not an entire movie, but he was in Vietnam in Origins Wolerine and in WW2 in that Silver Samurai one.
Which makes it even sadder when you think about it. Everyone Logan loves is either dead or needs a adult diaper
Not physically.
You know that this movie was beautifully made, when even deadpool wont make fun of it.
Yup
Except in Deadpool 2...
This is by far in my opinion one of the best superhero movies I have ever seen.

It's almost like there can be more than one type of R-rated action movie. Someone tell Hollywood. 👀
James Mangold explained that the R rating allowed scenes to run longer (since movies aimed at families have to keep up the flashy colors and explosions to hold kids short attention spans)
How can someone dislike this ? You have Epic Voice Guy and Wade Wilson commenting one of the greatest superhero movies ever.
Some people don't like fun. Or good movies.
Can't win 'em all.
I think you mean either complimenting or commenting on.
DC fanboys
+Screen Junkies
Can you say, "My anaconda don't want none unless you got buns, hun"
Please say "There are two types of beings in the universe. Those who dance-and those who do not."
It will be when they do the honest trailer.
They've done references to the 80s...
Myanmar movies
rewatching this honest trailer this week makes it even funnier :P
the last mexican is hunted by Donald. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Savage!
Nanan Salacut eventhough its not true and i like Trump, pretty jokes still
Lol the "Ahem".
I died
I love how he referred to them as "The MEX-MEN"
This is my favorite movie of the year so far. Also, congrats on 200 Honest Trailers.
Same it was brilliant
I cried when X23 said 'daddy'
Deadpool: "It's not my fault youtube keeps unsubscribing people without telling them."
Me: *Sees red subscribe button.*
Me: WTF HE'S RIGHT!? *resubs* -.-
If you guys could actually get Mr. Plinkett in an episode, I would be sooo happy
Kevin House if I could say shit balls to the principal I'd be sooo happy
Deadpool mentioning LOGAN for the Oscars, who wants to see Deadpool host the Oscars.
Arturo Atoyan it's bad idea
Arturo Atoyan Doesn't matter. Kimmel's hosting the next oscars.
Deadpool anyone notice the puss before?
War dog puss?
Arturo Atoyan i would actually watch that
I lost it when he said Laura is his heart. Feels man!! FEELS!!
I feel like you all had a part in making Deadpool & Wolverine happen. Well done ... 🎂
this move is a fucking masterpiece, i cried at the end :'(
KyaneosJay same i was touched
KyaneosJay dude I cried in like 5 scenes
KyaneosJay I don't even shed a tear
First time I ever cried at a movie
No offense, but I really didn't like it. I'm genuinely curious how you guys thought that it was a good movie. The CGI was good but the plot itself was dragged along sooo much. The movie was too long for whatever it was and the plot was unoriginal. What do you guys think?
Don't get me wrong...the part with Ryan Reynolds was funny...but actually just calling him to get Jackmans number for this Honest Trailer might have been even funnier.
"last remaining mexican ones are hunted across america by a man named donald"...LMAO...thats gold HT, gold...
That was the one thing I didn't like about this movie - forced in democrat propaganda, because they're still sore their candidate didn't win...
Grey GooTheory, if you can't get a joke, why are you here?
Grey GooTheory lol propaganda, as if it's not truth.
Grey GooTheory really? a movie filmed before the election did that? that's pretty impressive i want the magic 8 ball they're using.
Arges Hagan I fucking lost it dude
3:19 Oh hi Yukioo~
The Last of Us is exactly what I said the moment the trailer came out
Laura is a much better character than ellie tho at least imo
What did Ellie not do as a child?
Laura was literally a blank slate of a character, that barely spoke, and almost never got her point across.
Yeah a friend said to me how he thought she did a good job... but maybe action wise, but acting... like you said, she was like a blank slate
Fruzsina Farkas Ellie is the better character. BY FAR. And I liked Laura in the movie
Ellie was cool. My favorite part of the game was when I played as heard. It was a pleasant surprise
"The last ones are Mexicans, and a man named Donald is trying to hunt them, ahem."
Touché.
ATTACK ON TITAN didn't notice it till now
ATTACK ON TITAN for-shadowing much?😂😂😂
ATTACK ON TITAN I don't remember seeing a wall in the movie tho
....Made by Fox............Ahem.....!
congratulations on reaching 200 honest trailer's love you guys that Donald joke was hilarious
Meena Kaur 2:30
Who's here after the DP3 announcement?
And fast forward to now we find out Hugh Jackman didn't even get nominated for an OSCAR in his final performance as Wolverine 😒I mean the other ones are obviously well deserved but come on this is LOGAN! 😭
Im Empathy De
Im Empathy Deadpool needs to set every VHS copy of crash on fire.
It'll be a lot of years before the stuckup Oscars committee will recognise superhero movies.
Im Empathy it did get a screenwriting nomination.
I have a feeling it's not his final one
the last mexican hunted across america by a guy named donald? 😂😂😂😂😂
I laugh so hard 4 about 2 mins and still counting 😂😂😂😂😂😂
TacticalTurd They did that on purpose! They've had to!
You are a genius!!!!
TacticalTurd 😱
Blade was R rated, had blood, cursing, and Blade lived with an old guy.
kakalukium yeah
Well, "Supergirl" with Christina Slater was the first superhero film led by a woman, but nobody even remembers it anymore.
It helps that it sucked and that it was the beginning of the belief that women (And superheroines by extension) couldn't make good action movies, though.
Helen Slater, and... the incorporation of the witch was the problem, not that she was a superhero. As for Christian, they did play in a movie together, and he was convinced of being destined to marry Helen.
And the old man is still alive goddammit!
... The perfect R-rated plot format... By God, we've done it...
This has officially come full circle
To be honest, if there was a Last of Us movie, Hugh Jackman HAS to be Joel
hes retired now, logan wasnt just his last xmen, but his last movie too, so that wont happen 😢
dude. josh brolin
@Preson Garvey Not true. He's done with the Wolverine franchise, but is totally up for a Marvel Cinematics crossover!
www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/hugh-jackman-logan-wolverine-3-x-men-the-avengers-marvel-interview-a7598996.html
So, they didn't get your idea

I don't know how you guys managed to make this honest trailer hilarious...
cause this movie is freaking awesome.
Also great job putting Deadpool in the voice over!!
Binod Thakur That was ryan reynolds. He also did the Deadpool Honesty trailer.
One of the best superhero films to ever be made.
One of the best films to ever be made, not just the best superhero film
Aiden Howatson Yep

Please say: How much bacon could Kevin Bacon bake if Kevin Bacon could bake bacon.
Fred Potter how 'bout "How much bake could Kevin Bake bacon if Kevin Bake could bacon bake"?
Bacon bacon bacon bacon...
Brice Emerson You put it in the oven on bake. Duh.
How much Kevin could a Bacon Kekon if Bacon could Kekon Kevin? A Bacon would Kekon a lot of Kevin!
Kevin Bacon would bake as much bacon as he could if a Kevin Bacon could bake bacon
I think this movie was the closest any xmen movie will be to perfect, it's masterful
I fucking knew they'd call this 'The last of us', xD
Haydn McChrystal Hugh Jackman for Joel!!!!!!!
Tissan Young That's actually a REALLY good casting choice!
The REAL question is "Who'd play Ellie?"
My vote's for Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven from Stranger Things.)
Tissan Young Yes yes yes yes yes:P
Yes!
Tissan Young No
"The Last of Us," LOL. Best. Reference. evah!
That Donald Trump reference was bomb. The movie is excellent and a must-watch. I cried when Laura started calling Wolverine as daddy.
Tejaswinee Bhattacharjee Yes, after she finally finished with all the fucking screaming and glaring.
Great points and the whole ending was sad
You look like her. Are you her?
