  • My homemade snowmobile loading system. Keep it simple stupid version for loading and unloading. Doesn't need to be running, no ramps. This is a cheap and simple way to load and unload things from the back of a truck.

    I did build one based on yours for a small trailer I have - needed a loader because my son's snowmobile wasn't running. Fun project, and it works great! Thanks very much for the design. I have pictures if you want to see it.

    I wrenched my back some years ago helping a guy load a snowmobile. The twisting motion is so bad for the back. This idea is great. It can be done safely at night when people are tired, in a hurry and just want to get out of the bush. Thanks for posting.

    That is pretty dang cool. I've been trying to figure out how to get my wave runners on my trailer in super low water. This gives me an idea or two!!! A friend of mine had a sled bed (home made out of some 2xs and plywood) with no headache rack. He ran his skis thru his back window one time!

    Hey Rednic79 ,
    This is about the most ingenious way ever to load a sled on a pickup.... I am 66 yrs. old and have been pissing around trying to get machines onto trucks for years.....
    You are wise beyond your years my young friend.... WHAT AN AWESOME IDEA !!

      well its winter here in Winnipeg so I'm working on snow removal stuff, and my ice fishing shack. I'd like to make a snowblower for my truck, still tossing around ideas on that one. thanks L.E.K.

  • @sledzilla
    @sledzilla 10 лет назад

    I build and fabricate stuff, so I've got to hand it to you.... That is the simplest, but most effective loading and unloading system I've seen. I would estimate that this could be built for under $100, and would be easy to build and install. I could see this being used on landscape and utility trailers. It looks like it would be a nice weekend project.

    Dude! That was slicker than shit! Friendly Manitoban "Simple as That" ingenuity!
    No ramps to mess with and didn't take too long either. A little electric winch would probably make this a marketable product for the Dragon's Den and could likely be adapted for other things(atv, small boats, etc)

    Thats ingenious!The cheap ramps suck and are dangerous. Have built decks and ramps and tailgates, all to haul long sleds on short trucks. This looks much simpler, and a longer u will allow gate to stay on truck. Great for loading all kinds of things. Gin pole comes to mind. May try building it for a buddy.
