What's the point of it being adjustable? The height of the chop saw doesn't vary . Can I have those 6 mins of my life back ?
Height of a saw may not very but weight and length of material being cut can cause a un straight cut if not supported correctly so this is a great idea fir that reason..
I have a similar issue with the height of my workbench Vs miter saw. Solution: a long block of wood from a broken down pallet. It is the perfect height and there is no need for adjustment.
When you're on different jobsites often times you're putting your saw on uneven surfaces so having the adjustment is useful, also the stands that are made for miter saws have that same adjustment to deal with different material dimensions/sag/etc
Imagine the support of a drill press. The height vary on this tool cause of the limited way the drillhead has, so when you adjust the support table for different thickness of material your support now can also vary in height.
Not all my saws have the same exact height....
I watched because dude didn’t say shit !! He doesn’t want to be a movie star or want to talk for 30 minutes !! Straight to work !! Thank you
👍👍❤️
Good video! I did this 30 years ago before youtube, welded a long roller with brackets to an old scissor jack I saved from aToyota Corolla. I welded a large hex nut so I can use a ratchet or a driver.
You could also screw the base to a sawhorse or whatever you have. Take an old steel wheel and put a post on it.
What a dumb idea. Anyone seeing this video will go away dumber for watching.
Yeah, sometimes I use that kind of jack on the side of my miter saw (but without the fancy doo dad attachments as shown in this vid) to level out long pieces of lumber, on account of the very limited resting base of my saw. Proven to be very helpful on account of it's easy adjustable functionality, as clearly demonstrated in this upload.
Very nice idea!
Respect you welling to go that far for such unique applications, a lot of work
thank, you for you're video
WOW!!! Didn't know exactly what you were making until you hit the circular saw. Awesome!!!
Glad you liked it!👍❤️
What a dumb idea. Anyone seeing this video will go away dumber for watching.
I've made these out of wood and a dowel that rolls free also for a table saw extension pleased to see anyone who works hard 70 thumbs up
Excellent idea and skill , thanks for sharing , congratulations from Florida USA
Thank you for watching 😀👍
I just use a block of wood the same height as the saw deck.
No time for such elaborate luxuries hahahaha
👍
Very nice Ax
Thank you 😀👍👍
Absolutely brilliant well done I’m going to make one of theses cheers Larrysullivan in London
Glad you liked it and found it useful!! Thank you for watching!!❤️👍
Sweet.. 💪💯
Smart solotion of a car lifter...,👍😄👏👏👏👏
Genius dude! Seriously. I’m forever using 4x4s or 2x4s in various configurations to prop up the end of my steel. I actually have an old Jack I’ve been hanging onto for years, just like the one you used. I’m making one this week! Thank you!!
Thank you. There’s this other one I made. Here’s the link. Hope it helps. Thank you for watching. ruclips.net/video/rZWJi7IHy54/видео.html
The neat thing is how many screw jacks you can get for next to nothing feom scrap yards
What a dumb idea. Anyone seeing this video will go away dumber for watching.
That'll be perfect for my chop saws, I just need to find an old car jack. thanks
Thanks, glad you found it useful 👍👍
Cool idea.
Thank you for watching.
Awesome very nice cucces brother 👍👍❤️
Thank you 👍👍
I have numerous saws and other stuff, but i use a piece of wood or box iron the right height, they are always beside each machine, simpler and free, the machines dont change their height. Keep it simple.
Right on❤️👍
Excellent. It looks like a drone.
Thank you. 👍
There are MUCH faster ways to remedy that situation.
I was curious to know what you were building. would it not have made sense to just weld a holder to the original jack and just add extended plates for support? it seem you too apart a jack and put it back together to achieve results that could have been performed by original design!
its good to see the modifications. keep on keeping on.
I suppose you can. I found it is more useful this way. Thank you for watching.
and with the roller bar in place it severely limits the upward movement range
True
I'm sure he could've built a support, or tool, that was alot more simple, for a relatively simple needed solution to help what his shown objectives were in need of!??....And I could've used alot less words to argue my point!!..But I Didn't!! I'm inspired by what a car jack can be repurposed into!!. NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF ALL INVENTIONS!!..Brilliant!!
Unique idea
Thank you.
The jack could still be used that way in its original configuration.
Yes, unstable, but you can. Thank you for watching.
Yes you could just weld legs on it still and a plate on the top and it's done
Thanks Joe. I thought the same thing.
Legs would solve the stability, but a plate instead of a roller for your outfeed or infeed table presents its own problem, drag, warping, generally a roller is better for this purpose.
@ joe woodchuck That’s what I was going to say.
I was waiting for him to attach four propellers to it and call it a drone.
That
Is
Awesome!
Thanks 👍
Oooo oky. Had to rewatch last part to know what you made. Basicly a helping hand
Great idea 😃😃
Thank you.
Very useful idea. Nice build.
Thank you 👍👍
I don't normally comment because most of these are a complete waste of time but you have made a nice job making a useful tool from a crap jack. Well done.
Thank you very much!
This for DIY hobby👍🙏🙏
First video idea I've watched I like!
Glad you liked it! Thank you.
Great job, like it
Nice roller stand my friend
Thank you. 😀
太棒了,awesome.👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thank you. 👍
Excelente,,,good,,,very good
Many many thanks
Dear AX, thank you for sharing. Your channel is an inspiration to my channel and several
Thank you. 🍀
Thank you for sharing. Nice idea.
Thank you for watching.
I think securing a small plywood platform to either side of the jack would have worked too.
follow the kiss rule
How does a 'plywood platform' act like a roller?!
@@trueaussie9230 so the only way you move something on a surface is if there’s a roller attached? You ever heard of sliding. You can slide it to whatever side desired. I do it every time I cut lumber on my miter saw, and I’m sure it’d work the same with that piece of metal.
@@punkinmyvitamins1
WOW!!
You certainly make a LOT of assumptions from 1 simple question (which you failed to answer).
From your bellicose response I suspect you don't appreciate your 'authority' and / or 'opinion' being questioned in ANY way.
@@trueaussie9230 The roller doesn't work anyway, see how hard he had to hit the threaded rod to get it inside the outside tube.
Very good
Thanks
Hello AX good tool good idea good job well done
Thank you 😀👍
Man, that is a super slick idea! Thanks for sharing!
What a dumb idea. Anyone seeing this video will go away dumber for watching.
Lovly good mind I realy like it. You are. 👍👍👍
Thank you 😀
Système ingénieux ,excellente idée.....😉👍🏻 Québec, Canada....Félicitation!
👍😀
What is it used for, how does it lift my car? Demo using it to lift a car please.
Did you make or buy the portable bandsaw holder? Thx
I am going to use you idea but put it on a pedestal. This way can use it with my tubing bender. I feel just from I watched this would even be more useful with a common problem building roll cages with benders. To keep the big hoops for stronger cages (and legal for sanctions) because these always use long tubes. This makes life hard because if something is off even a degree or 2 from the bend is a lot of sloppy fitment over at the other end. Thank you I absolutely love this idea now!!!
Thanks. Glad you liked it. This one is similar, but with more adjustment. Thanks for watching. 👍
Nice video, thanks :)
Thank you.
nice ! I also like how you turned that old Ghetto-Blaster into a fine working bandsaw machine 🤓
I'd like to know more about your horizontal bandsaw stand.
That's pretty clever - all you need now is a small handle on that knob
Now this will be very useful and thanks again for sharing your thoughts and great videos
Glad it was helpful!
ok but what does it jack up is it for the car or to keep your metal up
Nice - it's a yes from me 👍
Thanks 👍
More interested in how you made the stand for your band saw... Video on that would be nice..thanks
Here is the link to the video. The only thing i would change is the threaded rod and nuts for bearings as there is still some displacement as the saw comes down. It is minimal, but still there. I just used what I had available. Thanks for watching. ruclips.net/video/1FQf9hrrT84/видео.html
@@axcreates_official Many thanks.. Will build similar one soon..
@@axcreates_official Thanks Ax. Funny-I watched the video and was thinking " all the precise measuring that guy did and he uses bolt and nut for bushing"...I got what I needed from the film. Thanks. You know how sometime,no matter how good a tinker you are, some simple thing doesn't want to come to you??
Brilliant
Thank you. 👍
Do you have a video for that bandsaw table? Been trying to find one
Below are the link to two videos. Hope this helps and thank you for watching. ruclips.net/video/1FQf9hrrT84/видео.html

@@axcreates_official bluddy awesome mate cheers!
Hi my friend a great video. Could you build with that same jack a jack to remove and install automatic transmissions of small cars???
Nice. That's a great idea. Obviously you are a pipefitter. I could tell by the fact you were using Channel-locks as a hammer.
Thanks ❤️
With some modifications it could be a good shooting front rest.
I need one!
Very simple to make.Thank you for watching.
All that work when a piece of 4 x 4 wood would work as well or better?
How does 'a piece of 4x4 wood' act like a roller?!
(And why do you end a STATEMENT with a QUESTION mark?!)
If you don't like this idea, don't use it. Simple.
There's absolutely no shortage of morons keen to belittle the ideas and work of others, while offering no ideas of their own - and doing little or no work.
If you have a better idea, show us.
Otherwise - stfu. 😊😊
Magnífica idea , una herramienta para el taller muy buena , gracias por compartir tanta creatividad y conocimientos , un saludo cordial y por supuesto un gran like desde Narón , Galicia ( España) 🤓 😜
Gracias por su apoyo! Saludos 👍👍
Gran idea amigo, un buen accesorio!! Enorme abrazo desde mi pequeño canal Uruguayo.
Gracias amigo, saludos 👍👍
Ωραία ιδέα. 👍
σε ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ
Pretty smart, i like your little band saw also.
Thanks 👍
I was curious if an old car jack could be used as a dent puller?
I have used my scissor jacks to repair cars- as a pusher, not a puller. but a screw does work in both directions. I bought a $25 car for one of my daughters that had played in the snow a bit. It ran great and the steering, wheel alignment was fine. But doors werent shutting right, truck wouldn't latch, etc etc.
I used short lengths of 4x4 lumber and jacks to stretch everything back to where it belonged and my daughter had the car I couldn't afford.
So you can straighten out metal with one.
Nice video but what does it do etc....
is it a quad copter ???
What is it and what's it for
❤
Don't think about the whiners in the comments. It is a beautiful and practical thing. I will make that for my atelier.👍👍👍
Thanks so much 😊
I would find a piece of the channel iron (same size as the base of the power hacksaw, and done!
Nice
Thanks
you did an excellnt job., this is very useful jig ,it could be used also in woodworking.
Thanks, good luck.
Thank you very much!
Awesome idea. Love it
Thank you. 👍👍😀
The deck of the saw is always the same. Why does it need to be adjustable?
If someone doesn't understand the value of the adjustability in this tool they obviously haven't worked it the field much or understand the fact that not all bases are equal height...
Hey brother tú fabricaste la base para tu “ portable bend saw “ ?
Sí, este es el enlace si deseas verlo. Gracias por ver. ruclips.net/video/1FQf9hrrT84/видео.html
GREAT idea, I waste lots of time just trying to line up the material to my saw, thank you for sharing
Thank you. 👍
I feel like the jack would done the job with out all that
Love it. Well done!
Thank you!
Noice 👍👍👍
Thank you. 👍
what does it do for me?
AS 👏👏👏👍💙💛💙
Gracias Ariel. La sierra es genial y me ahorra mucho tiempo. Gracias por tu apoyo. Saludos amigo.
Love to see the bandsaw stand
I have a video on it.
Super++++5
Thank you.
Like it
Great skills and imagination however we still haven't eliminated the scissor jack's weakness which is collapsing to the sides or im just missing the point massively
Thank you . Great observation!👍
i have home made machinist jacks for that and they take up less room
👍👍
👌
Could use jack as 8s
👍👍
Why not use old car jacks to use to raise and lower a trailer mechanically instead of airbags, and factor in coil over shocks for suspension.
As Jack Tar said, block of wood will do ya.
Upgrade for the suicidal Jack I’m going back to legos
You went to extra effort to make it adjustable, yet once you get a height, it'll never change. Just cut a block the height of your saw...
Excellent 👏
Great tools which do not require huge capital to build. Great stuff 👏👏👏
Thank you.
