Curious what time of year this trip was? Great video. Thanks for posting
This is the end of July. From what we were told Several Salmon runs usually happen that time of the year. Thanks for watching.

I hope you get a chance to go to Alaska and catch these fish! It truly is an unforgettable experience! Personally we’d love to catch Tarpon one day.
@@goodfunandus I can recommend my aunt she lives in golfshores and they catch big tarpon In the golf
@@USMC_BABE38 That’s great! If we’re ever in that part of the country we’ll reach out to you. Thank you for the recommendation!
@@goodfunandus just let me know
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Are you guys trolling for halibut? Great job either way thx
Thanks! We really enjoyed our trip. I believe we were trolling for Salmon and bottom fishing for Halibut. But there were a few times, because of the current, it felt like we were trolling for halibut.
Where did you get your Dunlop boots? I need to find me some!
We purchased them from our local hardware store here in Hawaii called City Mill. Maybe you could order the boots from them online but not sure if they do that.
@goodfunandus ooohhh shoot! I was hoping you got them here in Alaska. Thanks anyways 😊
@@marmaduke0262 Ahhh. Sorry. There’s gotta be somewhere in Alaska with those boots.
@@goodfunandus maybe Amazon 😁
@@marmaduke0262 Goodluck 😊
Hey what build and model is this boat, it looks like the perfect fishing boat for me in SoCal?
No idea. We were on a Charter Fishing trip. You could contact North Country Charters. Ask them which boat does Captain Ben use. They’re always helpful.
I'M SO PROUD OF YOU GIRLS FOR FISHING AS HARD AS YOU DID AND CATCHING SUCH ENVIOUS FISH 😁 I'm so jonesing to get there and go salmon fishing thank you for the motivation
Woo hoo Thank you 😉 Happy to share our experience and hope you have an amazing time as well! Get those Kings!! 🎣
Hello guys , what do they do with all that fish ? Do you take some of it home or do they keep it all for sale ?
Hey! Happy New Year! Whatever we catch we keep! Homer has several fish processing companies that make it easy get all our fish packed, sealed and ready to ship (check in to our flight) home. We have a huge family so we split everything with everyone.
@@goodfunandus ok , blessings from Puerto Rico 👋 .
@@JesusMartinez-qj3we Thanks for watching! Aloha!
It's illegal to sell sport caught fish. Especially halibut
Never hand your rod to someone else, don’t even let them touch your line, if it’s a record book fish you’ll be disqualified
Good to know! Thanks
You're a dork! Some people don't care about that. Besides, if it had record potential the captain would know what to do.
BOAT IS TOOO BIG
SMALL BOAT BUT A NOSE FOR GREAT FISH.
THATS BETTER THAN A BIG BOAT AND NOT KNOWING WHERE TO FIND THE 🐠🐟
@@harkinlucerojr.9580 it's 33' which is probably around average halibut charter in AK. Most bigger boats are slower and/or burn a ton of fuel, under 30's don't have the beam to be safe in rough water ( = cancelled trips.) and don't have a head, furnace, and other conveniences.
