    Ikea Review by Patricia:
So pleased with my kitchen island ...really solid and easy to put together if you follow the instructions. It looks amazing in my kitchen. I don't know how I managed without it. I store all my pans on mats on the bottom shelf and have baskets for food bags, foil etc. on the top shelf, trays, table mats etc and they are all hidden as the island has solid sides and I’ve freed up lots of cupboard space. Really good value compared to similar islands. I 'would definitely recommend it.

Is it stable without the shelves to make the seatings on both sides?

Thank you for the review! I'm curious what the shelving space is for this kitchen island. Specifically, what's the maximum height you have on the shelves to place items? Thank you!

The bottom shelf is 26cm and the top is 25cm. That is from the shelves themselves to the frame if that makes sense. You get an extra 5/6cm if we include space available behind the frame. Does that make sense? So if you had maybe a jar that was 30cm you would need to tilt the jar as you were placing it on the shelf then once in there straighten it up on the shelf.

@@TomsProductReviews that makes sense. Thank you very much!

I was wondering this too! Are the shelves adjustable at all? I have a microwave that is 29 cm high so it won't fit unless I can move the bottom shelf down some.

@@miracoburn8829 hello, the shelves are fixed solid with no way lower or raise them. At 29cm however you may be able to tilt the microwave and slide it in. But then we need to make sure the shelf is deep enough. Let me measure in the morning and i will let you know. (not sure where my tape measure is right now)

Do you think it looks off white/yellowish next to white cabinets? Or will it match bright white cabinets fine?

Its definitely an off white (Almost cream) which is noticeable against true white cabinets. Hope that helps.

Do you know how much it weighs? Some reason IKEA seems to no longer list the wait on the website

For that much cash you'd expect at least the top to be massive wood
