I just bought the Ikea Tornviken kitchen island and want to do something similar, but the "seating" side has solid walls on the side. I'm hoping to find a freestanding drawer chest that will fit into that space. Great video though!
We def needed the seating in our 1 bd apartment that had no room for a dining table, but now that we have moved into a house, it is just so not needed anymore lol. I'm SO glad these shelves were the PERFECT size to easily modify it. Gotta love ikea for that! lol
I have two counter height chairs for this and they fit comfortably!!! I would say plenty of space for 2 to eat (I am pretty small (only 5’1) but it is comfy!

the tool is called an "oscillating multi tool" (or buzz tool) and the little attachment is a buzz blade (theres a lot of diff names for it lol)

I’m not sure 🤔 but i just measured and the legs at the bottom are about 1 1/4 x 1 7/8 inches. Hope that helps 🤗♥️

Yeah I think they mean the depth AND length. Not so easy to see without pausing and zooming so it becomes pixilated. Not a silly question at all...🙄
