Looks great. I’ve never tried deer ribs, we always discarded them. I’m going to try them with my sous vide this season. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Used your recipe today, but didn’t have any root beer so I substituted Dr. Pepper. Had soaked them in water overnight too. They turned out amazing and were a hit. Thanks 👍👍👍

Great technique but I improvised because I do not have a slow cooker. I used a one burner electric burner as the heat source and a big Cazuela de Barra (clay pot with lid) as the cooker. The clay pot holds the heat and is large enough to hold the glass pie plate that I used. Six hours later on power 3 (of 5) and the ribs were perfect. I follwed up in a regular oven at 500 degrees for 12 minutes. My Mexican family complained that they were too sweet so next time we'll use a more traditional marinade and flavorings. They commented it was too American flavored but I LOVED them and ate seconds and thirds, I am not a rib eater normally. The local deer meat was delicious. I'll definately use this technique again, thanks for showing the method. It was easy and the clean up was easy too.

Definitely going to give this a try. And I believe Strawberries has the best dry rub on market. I pick some up every time I am in Blytheville. They don't have it here in Bama.

Now THAT looks so mouthwatering! Only thing I'd have to change is salt.
Some of us cannot have salt. Damn that looks good though. Really need to do this! Thanks for sharing...

Looks really good Quinton. Have you ever cooked venison ribs on a bbq pit? I wonder how that would work? Awesome job buddy.

I really want to try tbis, this year with some of my deer. The one thing I am curious about is I see a lot of people taking off the fatty back and for steaming them i don't know if that'll actually work. The ribs may end up falling apart. I may do one half rack exactly like you did and the other half like pulling that far line out and see what happens.

I'm going to try this in the next few days. I think I'll tweak your recipie and method a little bit but the foundation will 100% be from this video.
Edit: actually now that I think about it. Couldn't you use an instapot instead of a croc?

One suggestion, to get rid of the game’y taste soak the meat in milk overnight first. This works great on hog too. But this recipe worked great! They were fall off the bone tender.

Yes I must stress to anyone who has not tried cooking venison ribs yet, a crock pot or pressure cooker is imperative. For a quick smoky finish I prefer a pellet grill, but whatever you do, DO NOT try traditional bbq pork rib recipes. The longer you cook it the tighter the venison will fuse to the rib. Steaming or boiling over a long period of time is the only way to tenderize it and get the bone to come loose.
