  • So many people harvest deer and hogs and just take the back straps and quarters and leave behind one of my favorite parts, the ribs. This is my favorite recipe for cooking venison ribs and hog ribs that ensure it will be moist, delicious and will fall off the bone. You can use this with any ribs, wild game or not. Here are the ingredients as used in the video:
1 Whole rack of ribs (left or right) of a deer or hog cut down the middle of the ribs
    1 tbsp Sea Salt
    1 tbsp Roasted Garlic Powder
    1 tbsp Onion Powder
    1 tbsp Black Pepper
A bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

You just brought about something that I agree to be heavily missed out on! I don't get out much anymore for deer hunting due to farm land lost in sale. If you can utilize the full amount of the animal that is the ultimate goal for taking game. Great share! 🤘

I've got the same crock pot and it's awesome. Great recipe guys. The only thing I do different is throw them on the grill after slow cooking for 3.5hrs.

Honestly I struggle to get them out of the slow cooker without them falling apart, I don’t think I’d be able to get them too the grill! -Mark

Hell yeah! Deer ribs are awesome. Don't be like me and trim off the outer layer of meat in a haze of "follow the seam".

One suggestion, to get rid of the game’y taste soak the meat in milk overnight first. This works great on hog too. But this recipe worked great! They were fall off the bone tender.

I usually y soak my venison in whole milk if im cooking stakes and such. Mark enjoys the game’y taste so he just cooks it as is. Everyone has their own preferences. -Danny

Iswin Guillen Nice! This recipe works great on hog ribs too! And no worries about getting skunked. I went severa years before I shot my first buck. It’s not easy. Keep at it and you’ll get one next year!

"They don't keep the ribs on a deer because they don't really know what to do with it"
Me after listening to that: (Inserts nick young meme here)

To make pork ribs like this how long would you cook them in the crockpot? It wouldn’t take as long to get the pork tender would it... especially since it has been grown in the backyard
