Not that I'm criticising (or am allowed to since I don't play skaven) we just have completely different playstyle, I build an army and can wipe out threats like that at the cost to economy, You don't have enough shit in your armies but a pretty impressive economy.
@@cathulionetharn5139 at turn 12 or 20 you cannot afford anything doomstack-worthy.
Having doomstacks actually helps the economy because you don't overbloat your military with supply lines. With Skaven it is easy to manage early game, each of their buildings produces money + a lot of money from post-battle loot + skavenslaves are cheap af

@@LoremasterLiberaster indeed but you can rush 2 armies (one full, one between 10 and 20 units).
This has the added benefit of being able to bait and ambush (stronger army infront of the weaker army uses ambush stance, minor income bonus if on enemy territory and the smaller army raids), siege a city with one army and if there is another just outside scare it off or destroy with the other (make sure to have siege attacker tho), with two armies you can do two sack-cities (if you can find the right settlements for that).
It's also helpful for that one single settlement faction that sits in it's only bloody settlement with it's entire army and refuses to leave.
But yes, eventually you need to either get something to reduce upkeep or enough settlements and money to build an actual economy.
@@cathulionetharn5139 Economy is much more valuable imo, being able to field 3+ cheap armies over 1 expensive army gets you much further from my (admittedly still somewhat limited) experience. Especially as the Skaven factions.

Sending disloyal generals to their doom is probably the most lore-friendly thing you've ever done.
Should do it, if you don't already. Those loyalty dilemmas are able to be easily farmed for more value spent on the lords. Recruit a couple slaves into the army and you get what's basically a free revolt without having to wait for public order to tank.
Nobody's getting sent to their doom. It's called a battlefield promotion, thank you very much.

Yeah skaven and undead are generally like that.
Skrolk´s starting position is really f*cked, he has no Dino killing starting units starting in an area where basically everyone has Dinos.
He and Lokhir Fellheart are usually gone very soon, though sometimes the Blessed Dread manages to get strong.
My malus campaign the blessed dread are still alive at turn 100 never seen that before
Dark Elves destroy Dino's with darkshards, the ai seems to be doing just fine for them
Skaven have to overwhelm them in Early game with slaves and clanrat spears.
Darkelves just need a decent line of Daerkshards and Dreadspears to kill everything, but thats their MO anyway. Only thing the Dark Elves should fear are the long range and number of High Elven Archers to counter them.
In my sartosa campaign he had a strong start, wiping out teclis early, but Itza came in and devoured him like turn 40
i played a markus wulfhart campaign where skrolk had controlled 90% of lustria and had allied with either the blessed dread or vampire coast (cant remember). either way i barely came up against any lizardmen that entire campaign and it felt like markus went from being the huntsmarshal to pest control.

@16:40 you can tell the rite of primeval glory army has disbanded some of the units they had a few turns ago. It started with 19 units, now it has 16.

@@shuttze Who cares about balance, if the Skaven get into the lategame or just, you know, get Weapon teams, they do the same to everyone else.
It's just a threat in the very early stages of the game xD I've never lost a campaign to it, ever. A nuisance at best those 2 or 3 times I've encountered one
@@Ludvik789 I's a dumb right that could be changed so easily to something far better. For the AI it basically just gives then an opportunity in the early game to completely screw you over whilst for the player it's basically an instant 'crash your own economy' button.

Pro tip: Do this crap on purpose (you can even wipe your own armies using AoE magic/artillery to this end) to end up with a 20% HP buff trait on your lord. Extremely nice and useful for melee-centric lords you really want to max out for maximum bullshittery.

It happens when you play as Khalida in TK, you get a foothold by killing the Vampire Counts sub faction where you start off in and you WILL meet a Last Defender monster doomstack when you KNOW it’s still way too early to do that. It’s not just on Pestilence that gets this type of issue, it’s a Lizardmen issue.
That was one of the most anticlimactic SYDCs I have ever watched..........i love it!

I do like how you covered this in spite of the fact it's turn 12 because it's honestly interesting to watch!
Watching all of Legends Disasters Battles inspired me to start a dwarf campaign with the slayer king as i never could bring myself to give it a try in the earlier days of Warhammer 2 after all the greenskin updates as it always seemed to dissolve into a grudge match but i decided i would try it anyway and i watched a unit of Giant slayers and regular slayer units kill hundreds of goblins each in the early game battles were the A.I spammed nothing but Goblin stacks. the slayer units may be of limited use later on but i think i'm hooked on slayer units for better or worse sorry Mr.Legend.

I had this happen to me in a luthor harkon campaign. Thankfully it got bogged down in the marsh but MAN was that a pita.
I had this happen to me playing as Lybaras. Managed to win by hiding in the trees with two full stacks, but that was a GRIND. (And that was turn ~20, so a bit easier)
this happened to me early in my Vampire coast campaign as well, but at least I had guns and that was on Easy

Yeah me too get the same problem, last week i play as Khalida .. around 15 or 20 turns, suddenly Last Defender declare war and already near my capital city with thos Dinosaurs... almost full stack of Dinosaurs, and nothing can u do.... imagine ur army mainly consist skeleton suddenly those huge dinosaur with anti infantry abilities roaming and destroy any army i mustered...
Eyyyy, thats how ive won to walled battles! Clear the walls with warp lightning and let warpfire throwers and ratling guns mulch anything in the doorway.

@@TarsonTalon I think that's the problem when it comes to warhammer. It's has so many variety. You don't hear people complain about guns in something like Rome 2.
31:40 I've actually gotten Grombrindal to have so much armour that Goblin Archers did zero damage to him. I was dodging shots with him during a siege, had to manage my artillery and he stopped. Went over to him and well... nothing.
@Deathsdayoff person Well he is immune to arrows from Goblin archers now. It's probably a combination of his insane armour and other resistances, but he takes absolutely no damage from them.

Ive always gone slinger spam. They arent significantly worse than spears at tarpitting the enemy but they can put out decent damage in the process (with focus fire and skaven armor shredding options). Slave slinger missile strength is misleadingly low as well. You gotta think that most missile units come with 80-100 models while the slave slingers come with 140. Obviously theyd still lose to an archer stack but you can bring entire army stacks of slaves that cost a total of 500 gold per turn.
Aye. They can put out disturbing quantities of damage through sheer brute mathematic force.
This has happened to me playing Lybaras a few times. Just gotta grind them down lol
Yep, that and once playing Teclis I had Vaashnar's Conquest appear on turn 16... took 3 battles where Teclis died twice to wear them down. That combo of bolt thrower + chosen + black orcs + cold one knights + dragons is almost impossible to deal with only tier 2 units on VH/L in a single battle.

Lots of Skaven disasters lately. I guess they're one of those factions that are difficult to learn but rewarding once you do.
Might give it a try, it sounds like a "How fast can you build Ratling Guns" race, with heroes to bog down the enemy with summoned Vermintide fodder.

I’ve started a Thorgrim Campaign, 60 turns in I’m slightly rich, I’ve killed the bloody spears, have good relations and started a war with Grimgor
I start working my way towards black crag, wondering if my eastern shaven neighbors are okay when after I charge for a lone goblin army, Grimgor assaults the Peaks with a huge army from the east! 🤦♂️🥶

@@jonny_kung not really lucky. Usually from turn 1 to 100 or 150 it's on Ulthuan and normally Tyrion/Everqueen/minor HE faction has the sword of khane, so u can just B line towards it while you unite the north.

on legendary they usually don’t because the amount of cheats they get.

Man I just got crushed over 20 times on legendary because I always got this army’s coming my way between turn 10 - 17 :D super easy barely an inconvenience

what i'm getting from this video is that his problems would've all been solved by playing hardcore clan pestilens and spreading horrific diseases everywhere.
Turn 12 Primeval Glory army is exactly why I am not ashamed to admit I still use the backspace exploit when the A.I. decides to pull more cheats out of their ass. If they won't play fair, neither will I.

You say lightning strike not necessary for Skaven. Is this bc of their ambush attack? Is that a sure thing? In my Snikch campaign I had one instance where I had to Lighting Strike four Last Defender armies into dogshit in one turn, ambush didn't trigger when I attacked.

Disappointed in that it was a big build up the whole video on how to he was going to fight the Dinos and in the end he just auto resolved it. I was envisioning Armies of dead Skavens and the brink of defeat only to be saved by a few rattling guns. We lost out on an epic battle in the end.
Heh, I can just imagine what the person who got this was thinking. He was probably thinking "That's b******t! What can I possibly do? Wait...I'm just gonna take my problem, and move it over there! Here ya go, Legend!"
I always forget summon units degrade in vanilla. Such a stupid mechanic.
I know it's for multiplayer balance, but HONESTLY, just make it a MP mechanic then, and leave campaign alone lol.

no. hasn’t yet. he said he might
He has tried out SFO before, but typically he does not play with mods because mods tend to make things easier, and he himself says that him suffering brings in more viewers/cash
@@GeneGear i agree. only time he used mods is when they were balanced (battle of sol is an example) or id assume if they are completely in the AIs favor.

yes it's possible, just did it yesterday playing Luthor. Only issue here is the lack of dmg Skaven ranged troops possess pre weapon teams
yes but not enough amo to kill enough dinos for the skaven slaves to deal with

iam kinda new to this game playing my 3rd campaign on very hard difficulty as tyrion and after winning against dark elves and chaos got invaded by rats and they hit me with plague and got my 2 armies and my armies almost dead wut do i do to cleanse it?
i’m playing as tyrion as well 😂 on legendary tho. skaven is your problem???

@@alikareem3958 so high elves can't do much to stop plague apart from just run away and wait it out, it will just vanish after a few turns. If you want to you can conduct biological warfare by spreading it to their territory/armies, although this will not work if it's clan pestilens, plague only makes them stronger. Just be careful where you move your infected armies to, you don't want the plague spreading all over your territory, we've already had enough pandemics recently thank you!

"this is rare" Not for mea it isn't, happened on my Skrolk, Teclis and Luthor campaigns, not turn 12 but usually within 25-35. I've stopped playing in Lustria until this gets "fixed"
