Strength of schedule is a real season altering stat in sports. It’s all about matchups. But you can’t blame the Nuggets for who they face or downplay their championship because of how the chips lay. You still have to go out there and get the job done. As a Lakers fan and as much as I hate to say it Nuggets dominated this postseason and did what you’re suppose to do when the schedule is in your favor. They didn’t cheat or do no dirty plays. They just played hard and won. Gotta respect it 🙏🏾

This is unfair to say, because they have to play the teams that advance. Seeding becomes irrelevant in the later rounds, as long as you’re in the playoffs it’s anyone’s chip to win

People who factor the lakers as another "play-in" team that the nuggets beat on their way to an easy chip are not factoring the fact that the lakers have 2 of the best players in the league, regardless of seeding
Lebron is 38 years old, not 28 that being said it was easy af. We didn’t even get 1 win. Who in the league has a big that is just as crafty & unstoppable like Jokic? Maybe Embiid but he was hurt & always is so we can’t even get that match up in the final yet. Even AD had no chance, they are literally breezing through the playoffs because until someone out defends & out plays Jokic at the 5, he is going to continue easily breezing through all these teams. Even the heat caught 1 win lol barely but it was possible. Jokic is just too awkward to defend & stop, you add Murray & it’s all over. Lakers don’t even have a consistent 3 point shooter or scorer like Murray to combat that. We couldn’t keep up or stop Murray especially in the 4 quarters. Maybe if the GSW make some good trades during the off season & make a good run at stopping them, that’s only because I believe Curry will of course be the difference maker. If you can’t stop Jokic or Murray in the same night, it’s over. That can come off as a easy run especially when you sweeping 2 of the best players in the league according to you.

as you mentioned, none of the teams Denver faced in the west were healthy all season. Wolves, Lakers and Suns all easily could've been top 4 seeds if they had the rosters they had in the playoffs during the season. Sure the Suns lost Paul in their series, but tbh they played better without him. most of the people who are now saying they had an easy road, were also predicting the Lakers and/or Suns to go all the way just a few weeks ago.
The problem of this year's playoffs is that the Eastern Conference was simple ridiculously inconsistent. Bucks was un utter disappointment. Sixers were just like they always were, incapable of surpassing the 2nd round. The Celtics simple lacked intensity against the Heat. But also the Heat didn't show that winning mentality by not finishing their job in the ECF as soon as possible. The problem with the seeding comparison is that it doesn't conceive a scenario of top-seeded chokers. The Nuggets were merciless. The Suns needed unreal games by Booker and Durant to survive their first home games (barely survive) and then were smacked in game 5 and humiliated in game 6. Minnesota needed a perfect game to win one of those games. The Lakers, even with some monster games by Lebron and AD, weren't able to steal a single game. Miami got one, just one.

Also that heroic acrobatic play by Butler to tie game 5 and send it to OT only was possible because of an offensive foul. Butler clearly pushed his defender in order to create space . Coach Bud was a banana right there. Not calling a time out right in the moment and Not challenging the no-call.
