I still see fragrances getting recommended in top 10 videos but have reformulations over the years. Influencers have the OG bottles and shouldn't recommend fragrances until they test out newer batches. That would save people money and disappointments
Airport. I totally get what she is saying. I think she is doing a great job of educating the average person of how these things work, so they can make their OWN educated choices, and I appreciate that. She certainly was thorough! I want some influencers to discuss why fragrance prices have escalated so quickly (in the past year especially). I am sure there are various reasons. Many are turning to more affordable middle eastern fragrances, which, I eventually expect those prices to jump too. $ is the nature of the beast, in the end.
Inflation, logistics, and ingredients (basically all supply / inflation-related issues). On top of that, many brands set themselves apart by being expensive.
Claire is seeing it from a consumer's perspective whereas you are seeing from a brand's perspective. The two groups care about different things - customers care about authenticity and brands care about sales and profit. She is educating the general audience about what to look out for so that they don't fall for the reviews as always being genuine, cz customers do believe them, especially if they are new to fragrance social media. So, she is questioning the morality of it, not evaluating it as a marketing strategy. Sure it's up to the customer to make their decisions, but it's also not bad to call out brands for the sneaky things they do such as marking up prices to an insane amount just for the name and not better quality. Many people think a higher price comes with higher quality.
So I had no clue how influencers were paid until I watched her video a few months ago. It was very helpful to me it definitely made me research a lot more and be more picky with who I watched and subscribe to. I saw a hair RUclipsr recommending like six products every time you wash your hair the products were over $300 I commented and noticed she was hiding all comments that were even a little negative. I went back and loo at all her comments they were all just praising her that was a red flag for me.
I really enjoyed watching this video & taking in your perspectives. Long videos may not get as much traction but I personally find these very interesting

I generally take everything with a grain of salt so when I subscribe to anyone its mostly for insight or entertainment. And I never trust anyone on this platform who isn't transparent.
Navitus is from Redolessence YT channel....and any fragrance for the airport is fine, whatever I happen to travel with, but only one or two sprays so you don't kill everyone around you 😂😂

Yes, what I was referring to was sending a fragrance to a single influencer and expecting that there would be a spike in sales. If everyone talks about scents, it's something different. It's just a numbers game.
Hi, should I buy perfume oil dupes? Like oilperfumery etc. if yes which ones? The point is budget and still the quality. What would you recommend in terms of iris Leather like Armani Cuir Zezuro? Or Gucci Guilty Absolute, Halfeti Leather, Ombre Leather? Stuff like Iris Powder Mr. Thompson, Dior homme intense, Valentino Uomo Intense? Kind regards
so I did some digging on those perfume oil dupes you were asking about, and it's kind of a mixed bag from what I could find. Some people seem pretty happy with the ones they got, like they captured the vibe of the expensive originals without breaking the bank. But others had some real horror stories - never got their orders, or the scents smelled nothing like what they were supposed to be duping. As for those specific fancy colognes you mentioned, like Ombre Leather and the Armani ones, there wasn't a ton of detailed info out there. A couple of comments here and there about people finding local dupes or getting them from that Oil Perfumery site, but no real in-depth reviews. Long story short, it's a bit of a gamble if you go the dupe route. Could pay off and save you some serious cash, or it could be a total bust. Just depends how much you're willing to risk, my friend.

I am in some sense a perfectionist so it's against my nature to buy dupes, I asked about similar fragrances to those and those notes, not dupes, but similar, I have bought Hermes and Gucci Guilty Absolute on eBay for cheap, so I'd rather buy Givenchy Gentlemen or Valentino for £50 rather than Dior homme Parfum that must be great but costs 4 times more. So what do you think would come close to forementioned type of fragnances? Thank you, hope I didn't bother you much. I wish you and your brother peace and love. And as my tendency to go towards deep subjects- perfectionism is an interesting "desire" some might say and no fragrances are eterna so it further underlines what is eternal and what matters, I'm still not convinced it isn't an extra thing in life. But my attitude after 3 months from getting into fragrances - I know what I like, I won't think, I won't spend too much, just get what I like in a drawer and be cool with a nice accessory. This comment was more for myself to manage thoughts, but thanks.
