That ilu is the most innocent character in the scene, literally died for being curious and tucked its head out of the water to see what’s up, then it got shot
Curiosity killed the ilu
Poor thing just wanted to peak
This scene is sad because the Ilu seems a peaceful creature
@@randomly_random_0 It's like a dolphin but (hopefully) way less evil
@@alceratops6853 hopeful?
I know Jim has alluded to a possible redemption arc for Quaritch but I wouldn't mind if he was the main villain for the rest of the series. He's too damn good at being the bad guy. 🤩
true, but at the same time I do love a good redemption arc :D
I’m unsure if Quaritch can be redeemed considering the various crimes he committed and/or partook in both Avatar 1 and 2
Quaritch might mess around and accidentally link his ponytail to a spirit tree and have a crazy religious experience Lol.
He’ll be in shock, maybe denial, “nah, sticking to the mission. Just some blue savage hocus pocus, that’s all.”
But it’ll stick with him.
He’ll probably link up again, to find some intel, to be a real SOB, find weaknesses, but perhaps in his search to infiltrate and destroy, the spirit of pandora will interrupt and talk to him.
His skull might be too thick but I can see where something happens
Technically, he isn't purely evil since he does care for Spider on some extent.
Nah both Jim &Lang have stated this guy isn't gonna be redeemed. He will evolve &go through certain changes as a character (via Spider apparently) but he is the series antagonist to the end u til he's vanquished.
Spending those months with Spider changed Quaritch.
How do I know?
The old Quaritch would have killed the people one by one to make them talk
Instead he just burned empty huts and killed one animal to show how dangerous they could be
He's in no way a good guy here, but he seems to be less evil than last time
And I'm sure we'll see more of that kind of change in the next movie
If I'm going to take a shot in the dark, I minus well theorize that Quaritch is gonna recieve the Darth Vader treatment where he begins as a villain but redeems himself when his son intervenes and changes him
@@Dukesparrow1999 it seemed like that the moment they had Spider save him and Quaritch called him 'Son' at the end of the film
@@TXNICK96That scene had a lot of Empire Strikes Back vibes.
Especially him holding out his hand to his son.
His redemption will make a nice contrast to the "Evil Navi" we'll see next year. Malevolent Navi sound fascinating and terrifying
In the first movie, the also shot the cannistars to druve the navi out their home tree first. Quartich doesn't needlessly kill
Miles Quaritch had more character development then the protagonists😅
Kinda funny that the water leader na’vi says forest people doesn’t come here, yet Qauritch could’ve said yet I came here
He could tell Quaritch was Sky People in a Na'vi body from first glance.
A CONNOR ENTHUSIAST
That most certainly would have cemented Quaritchs already menacing villainous ways
@@astrohalopeople are gonna be so confused by this comment if this guy ever changes his profile pic
Bad writing lol
I'm glad I'm not the only person who felt sorry for the Ilu.
Sea Dragon was my favorite character, I hope it gets a spinoff.
Oh I wouldn't doubt us seeing it again
Ilu the movie
"Let do em man, lets do this whole f**king village"
Poor poor illus😱🤭 1:06
There is nothing more pleasant than the cry of a aliens
I see parallels to how we conducted ourselves in Vietnam
In the next movie, Quaritch will be better to speak Na'vi language after 1 year and hope if he teams up with fire Navi.
RDA arrives
Crowds say YAY!
RDA raids villages and terrorizes innocents
Crowds say DAMN YOU!
I say: what did you expect!?
i cheer for both
@@GG_1318 it’s honestly terrifying to hear people say that.
Edit: it reminds me of real-life racism and especially of the Nazis.
So to me you sound like a Nazi.
Taunni village
@@GG_1318 that terrifies me
@@GG_1318 sorry, I’m just not comfortable with roleplaying as racists. I’m one of those people who prefers to roleplay as something closer to who I am or would like to be IRL.
1:04 that heartless monster
1:04 they shoot ilu. Poor ilu
This version of Quaritch reminds me of Azog The Defiler from The Hobbit Trilogy. They are both extremely violent, vengeful and ruthless humanoid creatures, made even creepier by the fact they are more human like than the other Navi/Orcs (Azog kind of looks like a skinhead). Always thought Azog was a very intimidating villain so this inspiration was great. Same way as Quaritch in the first film was clearly inspired by Commander Rourke from Atlantis and (obscurely) Colonel Nevitt from "King Kong Lives" (the fact he enjoys torturing and killing animals).
Quaritch was conceived of in 1995 with the rest of Avatar, long before Atlantis was created.
The RDA are the real good guys.
The Sea Dragon reminds me of the Supremacy from Star Wars the Last Jedi.
It's Supremacy but done right, it actually felt like a threat.
Rip ilu
When Quaritch ordered the village to be burned, I literally called Quaritch a monster!
Well, look at it like this, he could have done MUCH worse. (Not defending him here, just pointing out how he would have normally killed them one-by-one to make them talk)
Let's be real: the old Quaritch would have mercilessly murdered these people one by one just to make them talk but his own son changed him and his son begging his father not to hurt these people really awoken some goodness in his soul.
This clip literally describes the ATF
Recoms 💪
humanity first.
@@adrianvaldes5273 Damn right!
You three are disgusting 🤢😡🤬
Interestingly in the Avatar lore the Na’vis don’t have the concept of lying. The clan leaders here clearly are lying though.
No they’re not
This is an entirely different village
They weren't lying though, this was a different village to the one Jake was staying at so they were not aware of Jake and his family not being in the forest anymore.
@@georgie3675 really don't know that....oh, well mistakes can happen lmao
Yep, the concept of lying was introduced by humans interacting with Na'vis.
They arent lying. This is a completely different village from the one Jake is at. They dont where he actually is.
Is it me or does the clan leader under certain facial movements look a bit like Arnold Schwarzenegger?
You see what these can do
1:08 WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!
NOOOOO!
Ta'unui Village looks like Kashyyyk
Reminds me when thanos attacked gamora home planet .
Thanos had his morals. that guy is just a cruel human in alien body...
Quaritch speaks Navi wow
Yeah but he still sounds like a child. Spider does most of the talking in Na'vi.
@@KMDragonSHe sounds like someone that's intermediate with the language. You're basically calling everyone who's first language isn't English, children...
those humans in those mechacila things are so funny lol I bet a navi as brave as Jake could rip them apart with his bare hands
1:04 wtf!
Hey?! Your ears working now?..

That was awesome
quaritch, my fav character. if you think i’m bad and evil, you’re wrong 😉
Yes, i think so, and im correct... 😉
Ja sam gledao avatar .
The NPA is gonna hear about this
ruclips.net/video/m92yvNscIAo/видео.html
He’s still not evil as Sgt Barnes.
VC KAKADOW!!!
Colonel Quaritch's deeds need to end right away😠
No🙂
And some people blame Jake that he "betrayed" this "humanity". I would do the same, good riddance...
Youd betray those who are the closest to you on a alien world? They are aliens what they do is foreign to us their ways are primitive plus the marines were looking for a terrorist leader and those people knew where he was so they did it to themselves.
Username checks out
Nice to know ahead of time lol
@@АлишерМакашев-ж1ш Sure does.
but others who join the NPA now sided with the na'vi
This isn’t a war crime because, they aren’t human
I think the video should be called "Good guys beating on the godless tribal savages"
a human will always be a human, here is an example...
Japanese massacre Chinese / Korean avenging for Abe’s death
This 2nd Avatar movie really made me hate Quaritch more than what I did in Avatar 1. What a vile person he is.
Tbh Cameron makes the RDA too cool and comically evil to have his cliche message taken seriously
Nothing they do in this movie or the previous one wasn't done in Vietnam or Afghanistan by the United States military lmao. What a hilariously naive comment.
the script was garbage but jim never forgot how to make a badass entrance
