Hi, if you really calculate the width and length of the patch using the formulas u provided, I'm getting 7.900 for the width and 5.609 for length . And this is different than yours. Can u pls explain? I really need to know

there was a small mistake in the example design that i have shown in the video, actually, it was designed for the material fr4 that has dielectric constant 4.4 and not for rogers 5880 material.
the following are the calculated results for the design with rogers material
patch L=6.5, W=8
substrate L=11.4, W=13
feed length= 3.610
The formula for the radiation box for axis position is 〖-λ〗_g/6,〖-λ〗_g/6,〖-λ〗_g/6 not
〖-λ〗_g/6+〖-λ〗_g/6+〖-λ〗_g/6〖-λ〗_g/6+〖-λ〗_g/6+〖-λ〗_g/6
the radiaton box dimensions are;
axis=-2.4,-2.4,-2.4
L=16.2
W=17.7
h=6.4
feed width =1mm

The substrate formula returns same values as that of patch
sir, h = 0.0606lambda/sqrt(dielectric permittivity), it is height of the substrate or what? and why we using this formula for calculating length and width of the substrate?
Substrate dimensions doesn’t have to be so specific, depending upon the patch size you can choose the substrate dimensions. Say for example, if a square patch dimension is 35x35 mm, the substrate size should be > 35x35 mm if probe feeding is used.
In case of transmission line feed, it should be greater than the patch and the feed line dimensions.

Even the dimensions of the substrate are different than yours if u used the formula. Pls assist clarifying this.
