Should be wearing hiking boots that cover your ankles when you hike in the southwest because of snakes! Thanks for taking us on the hike with you though. Stunning scenery. I didn't know that canyon existed. Love the southwest. Glad you at least got to enjoy the hot spring if not the boat ride, although I wish websites such as for that boat ride to Mexico were kept more accurate.

Gorgeous place Ryan! I recommend this place on your trip from the west back home prior to new year. If you get the chance when in Utah. Checkout Mineral Bottom outside of Canyon Lands. Common area for base jumpers, rafters, campers, etc. My buddy made it in his 2004 Corolla so you should be good!

I’ve done that. Used to, you could just walk across or ride burros and no formality. I suspect a lot of people still walk across and bypass the port. You used to could cross at Santa Elena near Castalon but no longer. That crossing is something to do but you really didn’t miss much and no way would I stay there after dark.

Most van dwellers back in. I know you said you've had no problems and not afraid. You should back in. Even if you never have to leave in a hurry it's peace of mind.

Bummer on Boquillas. I was going to head down there in a few weeks, but needed to re-new my Passport....did not know my current Passport got cancelled as soon as I put my renewal in. So whenever I get it I hope to head down there. You found me a few extra spots for my trip though, so thanks for that.

Awww, Ryan that is to bad you didn’t make it to Boquillos….the hike to the crystal cave, tacos and the hot springs on the Mexican side is quieter and nicer ….the donkey ride after the row boat ride is another 30 mins to town.

If you go through the Midwest, like Nebraska, South Dakota, Colorado etc. (that area), try Runza sandwiches, they're gas and I wish I could go back to Nebraska to eat some more of them lol.

Next time you're in that part of Texas you should check out Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, and the north for the Guadalupe Mtns. The Guadalupe Mtns were also under water once upon a time, so you can see coral reef impressions and fossils

I don’t know where the inspiration came from for me to watch rv videos. I find I watch different ones for different reasons. I watch this channel when I’m considering if I want to do this in the future. From this channel I can see i would do it van style like this one. Looks like it can be a peaceful thing to do for those who like to drive.
