I own a lariat exteneded cab f250 4x4 6.9idi c6 setup. I drive daily. Original everything. Love this old truck been driving for years. Very simple to work on. Would love to buy this truck i buy them and keep them.
The injection pumps rare to go bad. Pull top cap free up metering valve and fill with atf let sit crank till fuel exits the lines shut off let sit again. Crank she will start
Crack all the injector lines and crank till you get fuel coming out even with the returns leaking it should fire. To bad it sat that was a nice truck back in the day I'm bet!!
Those cloth door panel inserts with carpet "map pouches" (and power window/lock switches) sell for $400 EACH. . . when you can even find them!!! I see them on ebay, folks ask as much as $800-$900 each.... That truck was really really deluxe at one point in time.... who would trash (so badly) such a high-optioned truck??
i can almost garuntee your misdiagnosing it due to inexperience its a mix of 3 things of why it wont run air intrusion possible bad lift pump and the injection pump solenoid being bad and the glow plugs are probably shot run a jumper to the injection pump solenoid till you hear it clicl like you heard then turn the truck over and it will probably run

My '85 6.9 diesel F250 extended cab XLT looks like this one (same paint scheme) - - but much, much nicer. SO SO Sad to see it in that condition.

If you fill the fuel filter with atf the crank it over to get it through the ip then let it sit over night there's like a 50 50 it'll fix it

Pour some atf down the intake it will lube the cylinders and it will also burn in the diesel engine!
Get a bigger hammer and it will break the battery post easier than just hammering on them with that little claw hammer!!!
