Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

I've been watching you for a while and i noticed you using only dragon engines. The dragon engines has a high acceleration but not much high speed in comparison with the raw engines if you mix them you've got both of the two worlds. If you take a look in the workshop hypercars they using raw engines too of course heavier but its got much more high speed than the dragon engine.

Acculy, dragon engines are lighter, more power, less space, faster acceleration, and acculy don’t have higher speeds. You must be talking about the bulldwag because dragons don’t go slower
Scrapman based on the mechanism that allowed you to cntrol the small car at 11:50 can you make a deployable mini drone that is remotly controlled from a bigger vehicle (with cannons maybe) please ?

A way to fix the problem you had with the spike strip would be to have a sensor facing the car in the car and a sensor in the spike strip facing the spike strip and then both sensors would be powering a block that only activates when it has only one power source and then that block powers the pistons and then you can have the pistons have no buttons and have them start at 0
Tbh i have always prefered your trailmakers content and love your creativity i think it would be awsome if you did multiplayer in trailmakers idk it might just be me. Also i have a few suggestions on what you could build such as a grappling hook, a working car with no power cores (idk if its actually possible) but thank you for the awsome content and sorry for the HUGE comment.

this thing must be condemned by the SCP foundation - class keter because the power is well over 9000.
The logic gate thins is simple. I've done it before with a car that attaches thrusters to other cars to mess them up. What you do is get a logic gate which is activated by your release button, then make it activate the pistons.
Make an AI car that has a ramp on the back and you have to catch up to it and jump off the ramp.
You could have put a logic block that's always turned on and connected it to the outwards pistons (extended by default). They would extend as soon as they are detached.
Great idea!! You could make a longer strip by making it come out longways from each side of the vehicle, then fold together in the back. If I get time i'll work on building one.
Hey, can you make multiplayer police chases in trailmakers? 2 cops and one criminal, it would be fun to see the strategies. With weapons too, so someone can think of a tank or a helicopter while the other uses a cruiser
Scrap man is like Mumbo jumbo but for all the other games than Minecraft
That wheel wobble is actually a known bug that was meant to be fixed in the latest update.
If you make a drift version you could fill the spike strip cavity with more engines for better speed or with more weight so the back can kick out easier
Make a spy car with a ton of gadgets like this, for example, rectractable cannon, rectractable boosters, water mode, all that. Everything hidden and retractable

Make a car that holds together better using the spiked blocks you used in the spike strip
Driven't. A word I didn't know I needed, but I definitely need more of.
Plus, if I do get this game myself, I'll probably use it as a way to hone my skills with keyboard and mouse, because I'm actually a console player. I'm more used to a controller, so I'll need some practice.

on the pistons, there was a tickbox labeled "auto reset": that is on by default, if you turned it off you could do it the way you wanted to
Honestly the spike strip car looks very nice but the spike strip could use like a straight down drop mechanism where the strip is place on the inside of the back of the car and to drop it you only use a detacher set to another key bind but the car will need to be lifted more...
Just thougth of a nice challenge for multiplayer monday. Build the tallest car you can (minimum 20 blocks tall) then each do a round in the centrifuge, fastest lap wins. Also if it falls over, you have to start from start again..

Scrapman should of put a little wedge in front of the strip so the "AI" car would go on to the spike strip and get stuck that way

I know you won't see this but i think you should make a squad of cars using the same mechanics the the first attempt had. You make three or so small cars that detatch and have all of the same key binds. they will go where you go.

Okay so before watching this video there was an ad but somehow I really enjoyed it because it was not really an "ad ad". It was more like a social experiment but cuz of that I forgot what I was watching after the ad. I feel like I'm the only one lmao.
The problem at 12:14 is that there is no manual acceleration, so the car will go slower
Next you should make a car with flip-up lights in trail makers.
Try to make a super fast hovercar or a waterplane that can carry the hovertank.

You should try this with a wall spawner. It would obliterate cars and be reusable.

well, there goes the chances of interrogating the criminal, the jail cells were getting full anyway. we had to cram 6 prisoners inside a cell with 4 beds yesterday.

You should do a video where you do a mm kind of thing and you all build a runner and a chaser vehicle. The runner vehicle can only have five engines whereas the chaser have ten. The runners get ten seconds head start to which the chaser has to hunt them down shooting them with a cannon. All of which will be done on the test map. You probably won’t read it but thanks if you do.😄
Scrap man could've just used an OR Logic Gate linked to the pistons that detach set to SPACE and keep their programming.
When the title said spike strip I thought he meant gun strip because when I think of spike strip I think of spikes that pops cars instead of making them stuck

Edit: for the piston problem you can turn OFF the auto reset.
