i found this So in Sekiro, it seems Shura is a Asura that loves killing. Killing and combat is what it lives for which is why the only time we see Sekiro really smile is in the Shura ending. Now violence is pretty common among Asura as well, but Isshin keeps the Sculptor from becoming Shura. However, his fixation with Hatred remained. Hatred became all the Sculptor could think of. As time passed, that Hatred accumulated until eventually it consumed the Sculptor and he became the Demon of Hatred. No longer human or Shura, instead he became a Demon fueled only by it's own hatred of everything. Until Sekiro finally helps the Sculptor gain peace of course.
