1:21 "That nasty boogie bugs me." - Sekiro is crushing bugs. 1:23 "Somehow it has drugged me." Sekiro uses a sugar; that's pretty much drugs. 1:25 "Spellbound rhythm gets me on my feet." Sekiro is resurrecting back onto his feet. 1:29 "I've changed my life completely." Genichiro is changing. 1:31 "I've seen the lightning leave me." During the “I just can’t control my feet” it shows wolf collapsing(can’t control his feet because he dies), possessing someone else(they can’t control their feet), and then wolf and a ministry guy goin off to follow the actual dance interpretation
Aren’t the other two scenes a loss of control as well? The incursion of the interior ministry shows that genichiro can’t control the outside of his own castle, and the doctor that you trick someone into going to, which results in them going mad (and loosing their control of themselves).
"Maybe this time get a better ending where I don't die" In the dancing part, Sekiro doesn't kill the boss needed for the purification ending, neither did he kill the serpent. Since he didn't go shura, Kuro definitely died again.

Time for a full analysis of dance references and visual comedy (Compiled with help from the commenters all into one place, I take only partial credit) First off Obviously Peter’s Funky Soul Dance from Spider-Man 3 Then we’ve got -0:52 Back it Up Like Britney (Toxic) -0:57 Anna Kendrick’s Cup Song -1:02 Wolf’s Fat Dab (do I really have to mention that) -1:06 Napoleon Dyamite -1:08 Joker’s stair dance -1:21 “Boogie bugs me” as he crushes bugs -1:23 Wolf hits the woah as he pops sugar “Drugged me” -1:32 “Lightning leave me!” -1:34 “Eyes Off Me!” As Snake Eyes aims -1:38 Dance Dance revolution among other rhythm games -1:47 Jackson’s Moonwalk -1:51 Sebastian and Mia’s Waste Of A Lovely Night Dance from La La Land -1:57 onwards “Cant control my feet” as wolf collapses and as the monk gets possessed and does I think Roy Purdy’s dance that got put into fortnite -2:08 Marlon Webb Dance (Dark Souls with your mates) -2:12 Killer Bean breakdance -2:15 Gurning Club Guy -2:17 Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball -2:19 Turk Dance from Scrubs (regrettably the default dance) -2:21 Could very well be from Edgar Wright’s adaptation of Scott Pilgrim Versus the World -2:23 Maybe Vincent in Pulp Fiction. Also he’s damaging the Monk as every time he snaps he’s using Snap Seeds -2:25 Isshin doing Gangnam Style -2:39 “Dirty rhythm” as he’s cursed -2:42 The Worm, from anything -2:47 If someone could tell me what this is from I’d die happy -2:55 Holy Moonlight Sword from Bloodborne as MJ says “moonlight” -2:58 I think that might be referencing the tiktok video of that guy stepping up on thin air -3:01 Gazelle stripper from Lone Digger? Onwards are even more mainstream dance moves that I can’t name Rocky reference Deflecting to the beat Tapping his fan shield to the beat Spamming block Isshin genuinely pulling out a glock Along with tons of stuff hidden in the background that I haven’t addressed Tik Tok logo Celeste BLOODPORNE IGN guide The list goes on This video is a fucking work of art and deserves far more appreciation If anything I’m gobsmacked that there isn’t a reference in here to Oscar Issac from THAT scene in Ex Machina
Hey really amazing list, I really appreciated it, watched the whole thing over a lot just to follow your guide. I was just wondering if 0:38 was a reference to Spiderman 3
This is on the same God-Tier level as Happy Souls. I am just in love with the animation and the funk moves. The Chained Ogre joker dance at 1:08, The little Mikiri counter shimmy at 1:40, the mushroom guy under the bridge doing the Killer Bean dance, at 2:12, all incredible, all perfection.
Don't forget him snapping snap seeds towards Corrupted Monk(Illusion) 2:23 , or when Isshin fires a shot and slings lightning at Sekiro for spamming block at him at 3:22.
3:27 This video is no joke, in the end it teaches you to use mist raven against isshin's lighting attacks, and damn that works fine, you take zero damage this way.
The silhouette has the scythe weapon and straw cloak the nightjar use so yea it is a reference to the "woo" nightjar enemy from the kite, not even a surprise considering 90% of the frames in this thing have some obscure or funny reference.
The frames were more likely all traced since they used rotoscoping for all the dancing, you can tell they didn't do much original animating as the characters all move exactly like human beings and not cartoons.
IT'S HERE!! And it's fucking UNBELIEVABLE!!! Seriously man this was so worth the wait! Really really impressive stuff, with such perfect timing throughout, and all those small details shoved in so beautifully! All this and much more while being consistently hilarious as hell! Some of my favorite bits are the timed "wooo"s with the kite ninja soaring through the skies and later with the Armored Knight falling, or the timed finger snaps(eed) that damage the Corrupted Monk, such brilliant and funny details all over the video! I've only mentioned a couple but there so many noteworthy ones (like the Miyazaki idol, the Filianore reference or the thematically perfect dance moves of the Senpou spinny monks), I had to watch the whole video again at 0.5 speed to appreciate it in all its depth! I hope it blows up because you deserve some serious recognition, it's definitely one of the best parody animations for any From Software game I've ever seen, and as you probably know there many great ones! Thank you for your work and good luck for your next projects!!
I cannot express how wide my grin was/is while reading this. This is one of the nicest things I’ve ever read, thank you so much! Also if you’re watching it at 0.5 speed try to figure out the puzzle I put in there it’ll let you know what’s coming up next ;)
@@fitzroyanimations I'm happy about that, you deserve all the praise for your work! By the way I took another careful watch at the video and OOOOH SHIT! BLOODPORNE Give it to me already, sounds like it'll be a blast! A Bloodborne parody animation, what more could you ask for? Also this one already has some hilariously sexual scenes so I fear what you will create, based on that title hahaha I actually didn't manage to find the L, but I'm sure I missed it somewhere, otherwise BOODPORNE doesn't make sense Now watch as there actually is no L and I missed some letters so it's something else entirely lol Fun thing is I actually saw a couple of those marked letters before, but didn't really consider them, and I also caught a new amazing detail thanks to this deep dive, the Demon of Hatred in Sekiro's glasses (I noticed a strange pattern the first time but didn't recognize it) I also love the Kodama from Princess Mononoke and Madeline, I immediately recognized them when I first watched the video but forgot to mention them in the first comment, they're really nice touches!
2:50 is easily one of the best animations I have ever seen. Divine Confetti, Tanto and Ako stance all in one fluid motion. Every moment is a masterpiece.

Everything about this video is impeccable. The music, the timing of each scene and movement, the references and they're all woven perfectly into the flow of the game. Really, impeccable.
This video made me start playing Sekiro, my first fromsoft game. People reacted that playing ng+ feel super satisfying and fun. Just beat the final boss this morning and indeed this video captured the feeling so well. Parts where spent hours on, are now done within 10 minutes. Thanks for making this awesome video with all these great references
This quite honestly is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. You wouldn't truly appreciate it unless you've played through at least twice, but if you have, the references are just so ridiculously on point. As is the animation. Masterpiece is thrown around a lot but this is one, without question.

This is a rare work of true genius. The references, the lining up with game sequences with the lyrics, all of it! I've watched this video so many times and can't get enough!

- 1:20 the lyrics "That nasty Boogie bugs me" when Sekiro steps on the bugs - 1:23 the lyrics "But somehow it has drugged me" when Sekiro takes a Sugar, then right after "spellbound rhythm gets me on my feet" when he stands up behind the monk - the forest spirit from Princess Mononoke at 1:25 - Lyrics "I changed my heart completely" when Isshin rips off Genichiro's poster at 1:30 - 1:33 the lyrics "My baby just can't take her eyes off me" while Snake Eye takes aim - 1:35 Madeline from the video game Celeste jumping in the background - 1:47 the knight does a Moonwalk - Lyrics "I just can't control my feet" fit very well for both the scenes in 1:57 and 2:01 - I'm not sure, but does Isshin dance Gangnam Style at 2:25? - Lyrics "A fire burns inside me" when Sekiro sees the Fire Demon at 2:48 - Lyrics "Boogie's got me in a super trance" when Sekiro uses both the divine confetti and the dagger at 2:51 - 2:55 "is this fan service" is written on the wall, but I'm not sure why. I'm sure there's a lot more, and I didn't even recognize any of the idols. This is art.

Every part of this video manages to somehow capture a story element of the game while having a joke. And some of those jokes are really subtle. I've watched this at least 10 times and I just noticed him crushing crickets while he dances. This is a masterfully done video
the woo at 1:53 syncs up with the little guy sailing across the screen that's so good oh my god.
AHHH I JUST NOTICED THAT

Him snapping to use the snap seeds and lowering the corrupted monk's hp is so fucking good
Time for a full analysis of dance references and visual comedy
(Compiled with help from the commenters all into one place, I take only partial credit)
First off
Obviously Peter’s Funky Soul Dance from Spider-Man 3
Then we’ve got
-0:52 Back it Up Like Britney (Toxic)
-0:57 Anna Kendrick’s Cup Song
-1:02 Wolf’s Fat Dab (do I really have to mention that)
-1:06 Napoleon Dyamite
-1:08 Joker’s stair dance
-1:21 “Boogie bugs me” as he crushes bugs
-1:23 Wolf hits the woah as he pops sugar “Drugged me”
-1:32 “Lightning leave me!”
-1:34 “Eyes Off Me!” As Snake Eyes aims
-1:38 Dance Dance revolution among other rhythm games
-1:47 Jackson’s Moonwalk
-1:51 Sebastian and Mia’s Waste Of A Lovely Night Dance from La La Land
-1:57 onwards “Cant control my feet” as wolf collapses and as the monk gets possessed and does I think Roy Purdy’s dance that got put into fortnite
-2:08 Marlon Webb Dance (Dark Souls with your mates)
-2:12 Killer Bean breakdance
-2:15 Gurning Club Guy
-2:17 Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball
-2:19 Turk Dance from Scrubs (regrettably the default dance)
-2:21 Could very well be from Edgar Wright’s adaptation of Scott Pilgrim Versus the World
-2:23 Maybe Vincent in Pulp Fiction. Also he’s damaging the Monk as every time he snaps he’s using Snap Seeds
-2:25 Isshin doing Gangnam Style
-2:39 “Dirty rhythm” as he’s cursed
-2:42 The Worm, from anything
-2:47 If someone could tell me what this is from I’d die happy
-2:55 Holy Moonlight Sword from Bloodborne as MJ says “moonlight”
-2:58 I think that might be referencing the tiktok video of that guy stepping up on thin air
-3:01 Gazelle stripper from Lone Digger?
Onwards are even more mainstream dance moves that I can’t name
Rocky reference
Deflecting to the beat
Tapping his fan shield to the beat
Spamming block
Isshin genuinely pulling out a glock
Along with tons of stuff hidden in the background that I haven’t addressed

This video is a fucking work of art and deserves far more appreciation
If anything I’m gobsmacked that there isn’t a reference in here to Oscar Issac from THAT scene in Ex Machina
There is shout out to that bald dude in the club who had way to many pingaz

Hey really amazing list, I really appreciated it, watched the whole thing over a lot just to follow your guide. I was just wondering if 0:38 was a reference to Spiderman 3

It's the hi-hat tapping at 3:18 that syncs up with the song that does it for me. What an amazing video
Get it??
Hi-***HAT*** ????
1:30 "I've seen the lightning leave me!" was the funniest thing I've seen in far too long oh my fucking god!
This must be integrated in the main game after the credits. Damn, after finishing Sekiro this video is a must watch for the complete experience.
Oh was about to leave such comment, that this is some Happy-Souls stuff, pure gold!
Shame it's much shorter, though, I want more :(
I think the mushroom guy is Blackhat Badger
Don't forget him snapping snap seeds towards Corrupted Monk(Illusion) 2:23 , or when Isshin fires a shot and slings lightning at Sekiro for spamming block at him at 3:22.
damn that chained ogre always gets me.
Holy shit so many small details shoved in here. Love sekiro hitting his shield along with the song at the end. Great work!
He's also parryspamming to the beat
Looks like Madeline from Celeste pops in at 1:35 too (awesome stuff!)
@@enricojrtuvera1037 exactally i saw no one comment on that

This video is no joke, in the end it teaches you to use mist raven against isshin's lighting attacks, and damn that works fine, you take zero damage this way.

@@unseenl3oi328 yea but does it look as cool if you just dodge it? No it doesn't. Also, isshin is one of the easiest bosses _wut_

actually is ako
Lol thats hilarious
1:54 I'm not sure if this was on purpose, but when the "Woo!" part happens, you see the Wooo kite guy flying in the back.
Well that's supposed to be the monkey bossfight scene, so I'm sure it's intentional, considering the woo guy doesn't appear there
The silhouette has the scythe weapon and straw cloak the nightjar use so yea it is a reference to the "woo" nightjar enemy from the kite, not even a surprise considering 90% of the frames in this thing have some obscure or funny reference.
Lost it at “blame it on the moonlight” having the Moonlight Greatsword in the background
Happens again at 2:01 only it's the armored warrior falling down to the base of mt. Kongo.
@@themissinggene yes both are 100% intentional
2:28 "Sekiro Destroyer of Worlds" I'm dead!
I guess Sekiro destroyed you too
The way he just dances towards Owl and then we see the bloodstain on the ground as he leaves is incredible
I'm not sure which to be more amazed by: That every frame is hand-drawn, or that you somehow got Michael Jackson to play without it being removed.
Give a bit longer. The youtube bots will pick up on it and flag copy strike the shit out of this treasure.
The frames were more likely all traced since they used rotoscoping for all the dancing, you can tell they didn't do much original animating as the characters all move exactly like human beings and not cartoons.
@@roachdoggjr69 exactly
@@roachdoggjr69 rotoscoping isn't that simple of a job either.
@@spinyslasher6586 It takes a substantial commitment of time and energy regardless, but it can be used much more creatively to be original.
The nod to Uncle Iroh as a truly caring father figure contrary to ‘daddy issues’ w Owl was very much appreciated.
Another reference found after almost 3 years, well done
what, where?
Oh man!! Found it, so good
How is that a nod to uncle iroh?
Again, what specifically here is an Uncle Iroh reference
The detail of Corrupted Monk taking damage while he snaps is so goddamn good.
There's something about the owl on the floor petrified while the wolf is dancing towards him
Plus the "Sekiro - Destroyer of Worlds" title and the three health bars.
Oh that was owl lmao. God I love this video

A Bloodborne parody animation, what more could you ask for? Also this one already has some hilariously sexual scenes so I fear what you will create, based on that title hahaha
I actually didn't manage to find the L, but I'm sure I missed it somewhere, otherwise BOODPORNE doesn't make sense
Now watch as there actually is no L and I missed some letters so it's something else entirely lol
Fun thing is I actually saw a couple of those marked letters before, but didn't really consider them, and I also caught a new amazing detail thanks to this deep dive, the Demon of Hatred in Sekiro's glasses (I noticed a strange pattern the first time but didn't recognize it)
I also love the Kodama from Princess Mononoke and Madeline, I immediately recognized them when I first watched the video but forgot to mention them in the first comment, they're really nice touches!
