I love that light bar in bumper set up, I might do the same. The factory lights are too dim even on well lit roads for me, so this would be a life saver on the trail.
ive found the stock fog lights do better in fog than LED, i think the color pops out more than the blue/white led in the fog, plus you get a full spectrum of color with led heads and stock fogs
Looks great, the top light should come forward about 1 foot though, I know that might not be possible with factory rail setup though. You'd need to engineer some extended arms/brackets. You lose a lot of that light just bouncing off your roof into the sky. The curved bar was a good choice, that fits perfectly.
@@asher9672 you have to remove the bumper off the car and remove the clips that hold that bottom grill in. I removed mine permanently because I didnt want to deal with cutting it to fit the light bar. Looks a lot better with a light bar and more aggressive
Great set up I just have one question about opening the moonroof when interfere with that light. I usually hook my lights up to my park lights so I don't have to worry about a dead battery and forgetting to turn them off
I saw a guy on the T4R forum that actually just bought L brackets and used metal clamps to hold them to the frame. Guy said it’s worked perfectly so far. I think I’m gonna try that route. By the way. I love ur 4Runner.
Looks good, man. Do you have a video showing the light bars in operation? I want to do something similar but I want to be sure the roof doesn't block too much light directly in front.
Most 32" curved dual rows will fit that spot really well. I actually have a new one sitting on my work bench waiting for an upcoming video so stay tuned!
Really cool set up there👍🏻. I have a question about the hidden light bar. Other than the harness do i need anything else? I need to get a fuse box and a relay also? I just bough a light bar but i forgot to buy all the wiring
Love the videos man. Recently did the same LED bar setup on the lower grill (I have the pre facelift unfortunately) but how did you relocate your license plate? Here in California no front plate is an automatic ticket. Thanks !
Hey hi! Love your channel very informative. I’m planning on lifting my 4Runner but not really sure where to start. If you don’t mind telling me where you got your lift kit?
Love the setup. I have a 13 SR5 and I was hoping to do all of the lights too. Interior and all driving, except for turn signals. My question is for the top light did you have to extend the wire to run it across the front of the engine bay?
Any noise from the bar on the roof? I had a curved on my 3rd gen that whistled like a tea pot. Covered the back fins with weatherproof foam tape and sound went away.

Perfect spot for a light
nice rig buddy. clean and simple.
Greag vid mate, could you please tell me where you got the roof cross bars from?
Put your foglights amber itll be good when off roading in fog or Snow and it'll look badass on your black 4runner 😎
How did you mount your license plate lower?
Your leather interior looks awesome! What have you done to upgrade it/keep it prestine?
The driver's seat is a bit worn, but I just try to keep it clean and protect it with Gtechniq Leather Guard
Hey man sweet setup you got there!! This was video I’ve been looking and waiting for, for a long time now thanks a ton!!
Awesome, hope it helps

Love the set-up. So I can't find the top bar mount hardware that insert in the grooves. Any suggestions would be most helpful.
Should make video for roof light bar at night view

Don't want to lose functionality of the sunroof, plus I like how it's hidden. It's plenty bright the way it is
@@CanadianGearhead Oh, I didn't know you had the sunroof. :)
Love the setup ❤️
Thanks!
Doing this to mine today! Excited
I can’t figure out how to take off the black grill, can anyone help?

What brand is your rock deflector?

Doesn't interfere at all, it still opens and tilts up all the way
I have a 2021 4runner trd offroad with factory everything. Do you think I can mount these 2 ligjt bars like yours ? Mine is 5th gen
Looking into this same set up for my 07. Trying to find the best cost effective brackets for the light bar in the lower bumper. Any suggestions?
The cheapest would be to make your own but if you want to buy some I think CaliraisedLED is probably the best option

Thanks for the content
Hey man what size tires and rims you are using. Im planing to do something similar to mi 2005 🤠
How did you mount the front license plate? Good looking truck!
Thanks, I just bent up some L brackets that mount to the angle iron the light is mounted to
Looks good, man. Do you have a video showing the light bars in operation? I want to do something similar but I want to be sure the roof doesn't block too much light directly in front.
I showed them briefly in my video of best mods under $100
@@CanadianGearhead Awesome. Thanks.
I’m sold on the light bar in the bumper setup. Is there a company that makes a light bar specifically for a 4th Gen?
Most 32" curved dual rows will fit that spot really well. I actually have a new one sitting on my work bench waiting for an upcoming video so stay tuned!
i like the set up. Do you have any windnoise from the lightbar on the roof?
Not much at all, it basically acts like another one of the bars of the roof rack
Did you stop using your front license plate or did you lower it somehow for your light?
I made some L brackets to attach it to the lightbar mount
On my 03 stock roof rack I only have a little under 35” I was curious if your roof rack is stock?
Yup mine is stock
Really cool set up there👍🏻. I have a question about the hidden light bar. Other than the harness do i need anything else? I need to get a fuse box and a relay also? I just bough a light bar but i forgot to buy all the wiring
A fuse and relay are always a good idea
Hello, what is the PSI on the Duratrac ?
Nice ride! How did you do to paint the front grill? And what kind of lift do you have?
The grill is OEM. I'm running Fox 2.0 coilovers with OME 895 rear springs
Yeah I have the same grill on my 05 v8
You should hit those rust spots with some Rustoleum and stop the rust.
Yeah that's the plan. It'll probably be part of the 4runner TLC series
Love the videos man. Recently did the same LED bar setup on the lower grill (I have the pre facelift unfortunately) but how did you relocate your license plate? Here in California no front plate is an automatic ticket. Thanks !
I just bent up some L brackets out of 1" strips and mounted them to the angle iron that the light is mounted to
Thanks for showing the lights at night.

Got mine from 4wheelparts
bilstein 5100 is a good low budget option. yotamafia.com/product/2003-2009-toyota-4runner-3-lift-kit/

No, the harness was pretty long
When are you gonna upgrade your stereo? Talking about “modern feel” in the cabin....
Watching the vid I made where I upgraded the head unit might help you answer that
@@CanadianGearhead About time!
what did you use to relocate the license plate?
Sweet! What tire brand and size are those?
Goodyear Duratrac 285/70/17
ESTA Bien perona la Luz LED
Sorry for asking, because I know you get asked a lot . But are those 33’s?
Yup, 285/70/17
Any noise from the bar on the roof? I had a curved on my 3rd gen that whistled like a tea pot. Covered the back fins with weatherproof foam tape and sound went away.
I haven't had any noticeable noise, it's not much different than the factory cross rails
Should’ve shown install
Do you get any wind noise from the roof light?
Nothing really noticeable
Wowza
Your tutorial on 4R photoshop pictures don’t populate.
whats the offset on the wheels ?
0 offset, 4.75" backspacing
Where did you buy and find the 40" roof light bar cause ive been looking everywhere online for it
It was a long time ago but either Amazon or Ebay
