I just scanned/used my Costco Visa and it took it without scanning my Costco membership card. Maybe it’s smart enough to recognize Costco Visa means you’re a Costco member.
Oh really did you use your phone 📱 or the physical card? I believe you can do that with your physical card but if you use just your phone at my Costco I still have to scan my membership card.
@@TheAZCruiser I used my physical Costco Visa Card. Scanned the Costco Visa Card chip and voila. Full disclosure: my first time getting gas at Costco gas.
Maybe I’m missing something. If it requires you scan your card anyhow…what’s the point of using your phone as well? May as well just tap the card and be done with it, and not use your phone. Anyone else care to chime in?
@@wesjames4420 Someone also mentioned that as well that you can just use your Costco credit 💳 card and tap once. However If you did forget your wallet you can do it this way as well if you have a digital wallet and Costco app installed.
That's what I do. 1 tap the Costco credit card. Way easier. Better/quicker than the Sam's Club app as well. And don't need a receipt with the card either as the gas receipt is in your app/account automagically.

@@TheAZCruiser must be the readers in my area have strong signal. If I put it that close as you show on yours for scanning the Costco code it immediately goes to wallet mode and fails to read the code. I found a work around but I have to first scan the Costco card but from a distance of about a hand’s length away from the code reader (not the nfc reader) . But yeah, scan Costco code first then payment card.
This happens to me as well. I don’t like it. The reader has a hard time scanning my code. I’m just standing there trying to scan it. Sometimes the sun is too bright. And most of the time it keeps going to my Apple Pay. 😔 it takes forever and can be frustrating

if you have your costco card linked to apple pay or any other service, why so much extra with an app and not keep it simple with just the apple pay?
Not sure tbh 🤔 but currently you need the Costco app to digital pay if you don't want to use your physical Costco card.

@@AmariRox If it's ☀️ sunny outside sometimes it doesn't scan easily. Have to put the QR code on your digital.membership right in front of the laser.
Anytime you get your phone close to the pump the phone just always opens up the wallet first so this will never work. 😅😅😅😅
