I'm a cold war veteran. I did everything I was told to do and then some I am currently being treated for like 20 different ailments all of which are toxic related. You mentioned combat a lot I don't think I'm any less f***** up mentally or physically not being shot at. I appreciate what you do I've learned a lot from your videos
Thank you Craig for sharing your knowledge... hearing your channel for months (maybe a year or more). After many years and perseverance, I just received the news, that I achieved 100% P&T (the Hondo - Club) Thank you, and keep up the great work/service you are making a difference ... Whoa!
No one should have any complaints. Each person just has to put their own claim in and wait their time. Every Veteran is a Veteran no matter what you did or where you went. We just need to support each other. Love what Craig said, We are all broken men and women no matter how you served.
If it wasn't for my husband's dad and grandfather talking to me I would of never applied for my benefits. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't of known I should of even applied.
Great advice. I do think newer vets have one advantage by having digitized med records. All my active duty records are photo copies of photo copies. The doctors' notes are hand written and you know how bad they write! Most of the exam dates are barely readible. Hard to prove a claim with records like that.
I am a Purple Heart recipient. Joined the 100P&T club 15 years after discharge after a senior rater reopened my closed claim and found clear and undeniable error. Awarded some retroactive benefits to me.
As a older vet 74. I personally think the technology thing is what hurts us. Also the year of the VA denying claims. Now information is mush more available. Due to people like you and others pushing out relevant content.
No two claims will be the same, everybodies symptoms, conditions, and outcomes will be different. Envy is a bad character expression with conparison being the thief of joy. Focus on YOUR own specific situation, and leave others’ journeys, out of it.
The only reason I talk to other veterans about my ratings and them is when they have the same injury. Usually our ratings from the VA are the same and sometimes they are different and when they are different its always because we are effected differently for that rating. I never understand why people would complain about their ratings and especially complain if thy had a lower rating.
i know this off topic I am rated unemployable permanently and total I have a RUclips channel and earn revenue. My question is will this affect my rating?
I knew a guy that did less than 2 years had a Mental break you just never know if they did 1 day orb30 years thing's happen and some doc do forms and some dont and enough information they can work worth
This is all well and good dad but the thing that pisses me off is the ones that get on the comments and think they have to spike the football once they make it to 100%, wish they could be more humble and show some respect to the rest of us that are getting our asses kicked because we’re too honest or too poor to hire crooked lawyers, doctors or paid consultants that act as though they’re helping their fellow veterans out of the goodness of their great big hearts.
I work with a few guys who did less than 10yr in the AF. They all get 70% - 90% disability and told me that's the new mindset of everyone joining the military. Go to the hospital and get as many issues annotated in your medical records as you can. Real or fake, it doesn't matter. Then get out and file for disability. You can make more money than someone who retired like me gets in a retirement check. Sad...very sad!
Definitely disagree with any faking but I retired in 2000 and they did as little as possible to educate us on the VA process. I didn't start filing til 17 yrs later and finally almost at 100. My son got it before me because I specifically told him to make sure that all of their issues were documented in their STR's and to get a copy of it when he got out. Just because we got screwed doesn't mean we have to punish the next generation of vets.
@airforcegirl1677 I retired in 2005 from aircraft maintenance. No disability. I did take care of myself and had a few bumbs and bruises, but nothing was worth filling.
My cousin's husband served over 29 years on active duty in the Marine Corps. In his final year of service, he filed his paperwork and was discharged with a 100% disability rating. That's crucial-if you leave the military without having all your health issues properly documented, it can be a real struggle later on. My Veterans Service Officer (VSO) recently informed me of this. These are things that aren't commonly shared with you.
The only thing that helped me was to go to doctors and the VA Bfore I got out of the reserves. And of course I sVed every bit of paper from my 30 years of service. Even minor shit go to doctor and get it written down. Ask for chart notes. Keep everything on paper in a binder. Young soldiers todY don't listen, too busy having fun to watch out for thier future. Definitely easier today than the typewriter army.

We gotta take of each other💪🇺🇸
If we don't take care of each other, something went wrong.

You are very knowledgeable and greatly appreciated.
Only acceptable time to compare is with veterans court of appeals rulings.
Amen Craig…. Keep up the banner!!

I'm not trying to be unappreciated of all that you do craig, but is a veteran a veteran .... or only a COMBAT veteran a veteran?
Craig has said many times all veterans should get the compensation they deserve combat or non combat
@carlosmark9840 thanks carlos! I'm new to the channel. I've been trying to stay positive. Thanks for the reply 👍
