    Love my Mojave. Just put 35's on mine and it is the perfect tire for the stock Mojave. I had the soft top for 2 years and finally got a hard top. The soft top is awesome around town but not for long trips. This is the perfect family and lifestyle vehicle. It does everything I need it to from towing a travel trailer, to exploring trails to daily driving the kids to practices and games.

    I had a 2022 Mojave with the 6 speed manual and got rid of it because the trans noise completely ruined the driving experience. I've had several Jeeps and 4 Glady's, and by far the Mojave is my favorite trim. 3 dealers told me they would not take it apart to try and repair it because according to them, something has to break for Jeep to pay for the repairs!! I was so disappointed and I felt the same embarrassment every time people looked at me like I didn't know how to drive a manual - LOL 58 years old and been driving manuals for most of my life!! Traded it for another Glady Sport S with the 8 speed manul (that was my 3rd) and it was flawless. Got the itch for a manual again and test drove several 6peeds in my area and they did not have the noise - so I took advantage of the deals and purchased a 6 speed 2023 Glady - it was fine for the first 100 miles - then the noise started again!! Feel like a fool - now I'm waiting on the dealer to get back to me with an appointment. Apparently they do not have too many techs who can work on manual trans. Let me know if you got your fixed - I've driven Rigs, school buses, dump trucks, etc.... with Manuals that do not make the noise this Jeep makes. So frustrated. Thanks for the great vids and I look forward to an update on your trans repair.

      Wow!! Great comment, I appreciate that. So dealership number one said there is nothing wrong with the transmission but they also didn't have much time to diagnose it. I'm planning on taking it back soon for a follow-up visit now that we are over 15,000 mi. The noise and operation haven't gotten any worse per se, but I continue to be a little bit frustrated with the whole combination of transmission, clutch, and gearing. I'll keep you posted, stay tuned!

      There is a recall on the manual transmission, and its been 18 months and no remedy
      The ride is a ton of fun, but Jeep corporate sucks 😕

    My jeep gladiator has hard tops with insulation to help with the noise it's pretty much as the Mojave except for leather sits and the orange stitching I'm going lift it 2 inches and put 35 tires on it

      It's a hard top definitely helps, But compared to a hardtop truck like our old Ranger, it's still quite loud. I would still like to pick up a hard top at some point for road trips and winter months!

  • @kpower8723
    @kpower8723 5 месяцев назад +5

    Completely disagree that the hard top noise is not much better than the soft top for noise reduction. Don't get folks who buy a soft top then complain about the noise.

      Compared to a true hard top truck like our Ranger? Trust me it's not quiet. Is it better than a soft top? Of course. Lots better? No.

    I love my mojave. No complaints for me whatsoever. Gas mileage it’s not really a problem for me since I knew jeeps are not that great for that. You get a jeep for the adventure and fun factor. They’re meant for off-roading and overlanding and that’s why I got it for. Great video btw.

    Thanks for the video. I have the 2023 gladiator Rubicon if I cruise at 58 miles an hour on the highway I average 23.5 miles per gallon that’s uphill downhill flatlands mixed with about 600 pounds of cargo. I had soft tops before they are very noisy. My hardtop is very nice. Not really noisy at all and JEEP stick shifts are not good. I’m running an automatic much easier off-road as well. Have a blessed day.

    Excellent and informative review Sir!
    Are you ready for a long-winded comment? 😂
    I owned a ‘95 Wrangler for about 16 years. Pretty much stock everything, including a one piece hard top.
    Talk about a noisy ride, that thing made every mid-drive combo a yelling match! Not to mention that the one pice hard top was extremely difficult to remove by myself.
    It was a manual 6, which I loved for all the reasons people do, but I was a much younger man back then.
    That in-line 6 engine got me through about 218,000 miles, until I sold it to a good friend in need.
    Now, some years later I’ve been in the market for a new vehicle that I think I would love and immediately came back home to that “Jeep Thing”.
    Initially, I began studying the newest Wranglers, Rubicon specifically. I quickly realized the many benefits of the Gladiator models, if for no other reason than keeping the interior clean when hauling anything.
    I test drove the 2024 Mojave and the Mojave-X models (both 8-speed automatic) and noticed a significant difference in noise reduction between the two and a MAJOR difference compared to my old Wrangler.
    The X model has acoustic muffling tiles on the front Freedom Panels, which seemed to reduce the noise.
    Granted it does have a 12.3” screen, which I’m ok with, but it looks like I’m sacrificing some AC vents.
    I went with the X model and am pricking it up next week.
    Thanks again for your review and if you’re interested in hearing about my experience for the first few thousand miles I’d be happy to share!

    Yeah the hard top is still SUPER loud and the heat here in Florida just bakes the top of my head lol. With that said, I mostly dont mind because the benefits far outweigh the downsides. It's not for everyone. I bought a Jeep knowing what I was getting into.
    Also specific to the Mojave, the suspension makes the experience on and offroad. We have a fully loaded JL Sahara we bought for my daughter. I'll hop in my Mojave 90% of the time if given the choice because of how much more comfortable the ride is. I do like her turbo 4 more for the peppy nature but I'll take my suspension over that any day of the week

      Interesting take on the 4 cylinder! I haven't driven one yet but hope to get my hands on one soon. Either way I don't think you can go wrong with your Mojave or that turbo Sahara. Both cool in their own right!

    When you talk about fuel mileage are you talking about the average over a complete tank or mpg in real time? I am only concerned with the overall average each tank. I use a fuel app to keep track of my mustang's fuel economy. My 2018 mustang GT would get anywhere from 13 -27 mpg average per tank depending on how I drove it. Cool truck, nonetheless and I am looking forward to when I purchase mine soon.

    • @LookitThisReview
      @LookitThisReview  3 месяца назад

      Good question... I think. The short-term (real time) MPGs affect the overall long term MPGs, so it all goes hand-in-hand.

      Wanted to add, I came from a 2023 Silverado LTZ with a 3.0 that was incredibly smooth and efficient. The transmission started haveing issues and was in the shop for over a month and still didn't feel the same after repairs. The gladiator was at a price that I felt was finally worth getting into.

    I think mpg is very subjective. Stock JK 2 dr manual, I got 20/21 on highway. Now I’m lifted 2.5” 33” tires and steel bumpers, I get 11/12 mpg in the city. Highway: 17 mpg, and combined is 14/15 mpg. My throw out bearing and clutch pivot is noisy as all hell. It has been noisy since new. I’m gonna upgrade to a centerforce hydraulic throw out bearing next time I disassemble the drivetrain.

    As far as the gas milage, the manual is the problem. I have a 23 high tide l, auto and hard top. I get avg 18 to 19. The wind noise is the soft top. Other than that, everything else is good. Like you said, Jeeps are for a certain person. If you are high maintenance, it's not for you lol

Wish they offered the mojave with Diesel engine, my wifes wrangler has the Eco Diesel with 35s and it gets 22mpg 😂. This truck has taken me to places i could never even attempt with f150!
