I wanted to share the message from the back of the Gauthier menu because I thought it was so beautiful:
“When you've made the decision to move in a compassionate direction, to change what you eat, to decrease impact on the animal kingdom and the wider environment, it can occasionally feel a little bit lonely.
It is difficult to understand why, with what we know, with the facts in front of us; how every intelligent person cannot immediately come to the same conclusion.
My opinion is that without delicious alternatives, it takes people longer to feel comfortable changing their lifestyles, so that is why what we are doing here feels so important.
By creating new and exciting recipes, we feel we are doing our bit to help people realise there IS another way, where you can have just as much pleasure from eating and drinking as before.
This Autumn, we have drawn upon our roots in French gastronomy with inspiration from the woods and soils of the British Isles and a few continental ingredients.
The element of the sea is represented by many variations of sea weed. We give a lot of attention to the best of seasonal vegetables and fruits. You will encounter the best of root vegetables, and one of my favorite autumn staple; the British Truffle Berlingot. The main course will then focus on a wonderful combination of roasted celeriac dauphinoise with mushroom pulled 'meat', before we move onto our fresh Bramley apple and chocolate desserts.
I do hope you enjoy our Autumn menu and remember that the choices you make really mean something.
    Bon Appétit,
    Alexis Gauthier”

This series has been so integral to my London planning and giving me inspiration of places to go that will be good for myself and my non-vegan partner. Thank you for posting this, so informational.

I'm SO happy to hear this! I watched quite a few RUclips videos before my trip; they were so helpful and also got me so excited!! Happy to be able to pay it forward 💖 Mildred's was a slam-dunk for us in terms of pleasing-a-non-vegan. Still dreaming of that caesar salad! Have the best time!!

What a great trip. There’s never enough time when you travel😂. The French vegan tasting menu looked A-mazing! Cabaret is such a good show and very dark at the end. Thanks for sharing your time there!

Never enough time; it’s so true!! I guess that’s good though as it always leaves room for a “next time”…😊

I thoroughly enjoyed this, to the point of feeling sad right along with you upon your departure, a sequence very well filmed. You are good at vlogging, though you don't do it often, so I felt like I was whisked along on your adventures. The meals all looked scrumptious, yes, even the oozy nachos, and I could not pick a favorite if I had to. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time with your mother, enjoyed the shows you went to, and had such a memorable birthday meal at the end. That you lucked out with a first class vegan meal on the way home is a sign that you were traveling under a charmed star the entire time : ) Thanks for posting!

Aww thanks so much for this comment, Tamara!! I’m glad my video was able to capture the essence of the trip; this is definitely what I was striving for. And yes, I’m going to agree that it’s impossible to pick a favorite meal (although the Mildred’s caesar salad has been living rent free in my head )😋

Loved this and Part 1! Loving your channel in general as well. Heading to London next week and am appreciating all of your footage and reactions. I used to live in London and am thrilled about all the new vegan establishments. Really wanting to try those nachos now. And that afternoon tea at the Savoy sounds just perfect. I might do a tea at a place called The Library at County Hall but not settled on it yet. However, you're reminding me to check at least a little bit in advance! Glad you had such a great visit with your mom and I look forward to seeing more of your content!

@@TotallyForkable omg! So many good spots. So, I've gotta say, I lived in London for two years and had never heard of Bubala until your video. My partner and I went there because of your video and we LOVED it!!!! Have recommended it to others since. So, so good. Besides that, we went to Floozies in Covent Garden for cookies, Mildreds Covent Garden (had been to Kings Cross and Dalston, plus Mallow which I think is the same owner, but never Covent Garden), Neat Burger in Soho (yum!), Purezza in Camden (had been, had to go back!), had the vegan croissants at Project 68 Coffee near Russell Square, had vegan crosstown donuts (not the Marylebone one but took what I could get!), went to a cupcake place in Kingley Court which I'm forgetting the name of...(I should check on that, it's from a RUclipsr....), a couple of Lola's cupcakes, the vegan special at Franco Manca, and actually, Pizza Hut, because the vegan options are a little different there than in the States (at least NYC which is where I'm from). I ate so much this past week but every bite was worth it!!! Thanks for your foodspiration and especially your recommendation of Bubala! Loved every moment of the trip but the food took it to another level. :)
Oops - realized I commented from my other account. Sorry to confuse! While I'm editing though, I'll mention that the Kingley Court cupcake place was Crumbs and Doilies by Cupcake Jemma on RUclips. Some delicious vegan options.

WOW--sounds like you had an incredible trip full of culinary delights!! I'm so happy that you found Bubala through my recommendation and loved it--I wish I could go back!! I'm still dreaming about this incredible drink I had there called a "kumquat shrub" 🤤 I meant to check out Neat Burger and would have LOVED to check out Purezza--their menu looked incredible; right up my alley. There simply wasn't enough time and I wasn't sure my mom would appreciate Camden Town 😅 Your trip sounded fantastic and delicious!!
