What I usually do that I find really helps is that whenever I get a bad thought I snap a rubber band on wrist which distracts the thought pattern and sends a message to my brain that if it thinks of a bad thought it will cause me pain. Also try and listen to some subliminal messages to treat OCD on RUclips, try Thomas Hall its pretty effective. Good luck man I hope this helps.

I guess you're not wrong, but there is definitely various treatments that can reduce symptoms, and some people forget it's even a part of their life.
